We loved this house! It had everything we needed and more. Bedrooms were comfortable and bathrooms well stocked. It was quaint and on a quiet property. Close to town and close to park entrance.
This house was fantastic! Great location for going to Acadia National Park. Very quiet neighborhood. The house is very nicely appointed and absolutely lovely. So many different areas to sit and relax or talk. Exceeded expectations. Great communication with owner.
The property was very group friendly with multiple bedrooms, bathrooms, seating areas, etc. The kitchen was particularly group/family friendly with plenty of tableware, cook ware, seating. Nice outdoor picnic tables and umbrellas on the deck. We loved watching the wildlife (deer, turkeys, and chickens). The proximity to Acadia National Park was a huge plus. This is a charming old farm house with all the issues that implies. The outside is in need of some attention and door locks need some work. The host left a beautiful vase of flower and a note to welcome us.
Perfect house and location for our family vacation. Lots of room inside and out for us all to spread out. Everything we needed for the week was provided. We had no problems with anything in the house. We walked to the beach and restaurants a few times. Most of our time was spent in Acadia National Park, which was less than a mile away. All in all, we couldn't have asked for a better experience.
The house was perfect for our family vacation! There were 14 of us! Everyone had room to be alone and community space! We highly recommend this property! Trish was attentive to our needs and supplied many items not normally at rentals, spices, paper towels, cleaning supplies, toilet paper, hand soaps, etc.
Our family of 15 thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Cider House. The location was perfect. We experienced an unusual heat wave but, with windows opened and an abundance of fans we survived. The property was great for the kids to play outside or inside. Lots of room to spread out. Overall our stay was great.
We had a group of 14 and loved the charming cider house! There was plenty of space for everyone to hang out and the beds were nice and comfortable. We made many meals in the kitchen and enjoyed all of the dining space. Very close to Acadia and Bar Harbor! We made many lasting memories and appreciate Trish’s communication. Highly recommend!
Our stay at the Cider House couldn’t have been better. Amazing location, helpful hosts and super clean. Thank you Trish for the perfect getaway for our large extended family.
Amazing and spacious farmhouse
Well stocked kitchen, bathrooms and laundry room. Trish-owner was always there to assist with any issues, always available to assist .
Definitely recommend for a family vacation.
Large farm house right up the street from The Chart Room had all the space, amenities, and location you need for a perfect vacation to Bar Harbor/Acadia.
Also very much appreciated the abundance of fans for each room.
Owner is a sweetheart!
Secluded hide away with an old farmhouse layout. Put the grandparents in the downstairs bedroom, open all the windows and turn on all the fans to take advantage of cooler mornings. No one gets their own bathroom so be kind and keep your stuff in your room, but plenty of hot water and funky layout! Available laundry room upstairs is a great advantage to this property. Hulls Cove beach is a 10 min walk downhill. Lake Wood Pond is a 5 min drive for a quiet swimming hole. Great big breakfast area and deck and large well-appointed kitchen for family gatherings. Bring a yard game for playing on the lawn!
Nice, large, old home on a quiet dead-end lane. Close to Acadia's Hulls Cove entrance and not far from downtown Bar Harbor. The owner is very kind and responsive to any needs. We enjoyed stargazing on the deck and hanging out in the large open kitchen. All in all, a great stay.
Our family had a great vacation. The house was plenty of room for everyone. The location was very convenient to the park loop and downtown. Quiet country setting.
This property was perfect for our multi-generational family reunion. We wanted something that felt like a home, and we found it. The home is comfortable and spacious and the location is perfect for exploring Acadia, Bar Harbor, and other lovely towns. Host Patricia is an absolute gem!
When looking for a place to house my LARGE family of 15 people, I came upon this listing. This home was perfect! Not only was it large enough for us to all to relax, eat and talk, but there was also enough beds for everyone and space to get away from each other when needed. It had all the charm and character of an old house, but with all the modern extras and was within walking distance of the water and just minutes from the park entrance. Trish was the perfect host, replying almost immediately when we had a question or came across a problem. We also appreciated all the extras that came with the home: all the paper products, soaps both for cleaning and in the bathrooms, enough fans in the bedrooms to help cool it down during our heat wave, and puzzles and games for the evenings. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!
