We absolutely loved this property! It was an amazing family vacation. I would highly recommend this property and host anytime.Truly, a dream location and one-of-a-kind property. The photos don’t fully do it justice.

The location is fantastic and the house has some great attributes for a large family get together (large deck.kitchen table beautiful view, etc). The house does need some work. The guest house water heater didn’t work several times, the icemaker in the fridge is broken, the fire alarm was going off late our last night and we had a small mouse. Nick (the property manager) was amazing and very responsive (came by late to work on fire alarms) but the house needs some refreshing

Our Manager was on-site promptly each time you reached out, fixed the water heater, and returned to ensure it was fully resolved. He also came out at 11:00 PM on your final night to find the smoke alarms were silent and verify that they were fully operational and secure. Finally, our preventative service team conducted a follow-up inspection immediately after checkout and confirmed the property is completely clear. We appreciate your stay and remain dedicated to providing the high standard of hospitality our guests have counted on for over 15 years.

Sunset Cabin

We had another amazing stay at sunset cabin. The upgrades made since our previous stay made it even more enjoyable and the property manager was wonderful. Hope to stay again!

The Sunset Cabin

Our family has been staying at this beautiful vacation home for family reunions multiple times over many years. It never disappoints. The location is excellent with close proximity to Woods Bay, Big Fork, Kalispell, Glacier NP, and Whitefish. There are many opportunities for activities for all ages both on the lake and on land. The home is well appointed with everything you might need, along with being exceptionally clean. The layout of beds (one room having bunk beds) is also excellent. The grassy front yard and the dock are added bonuses. While the guest cabin does not have AC, we do not find that to be a problem by opening windows. It also has everything necessary for your stay. The property manager, Nick, is outstanding and quickly answers any questions you might have. He makes certain that everything is in tiptop shape for your stay. We always look forward to our returns to this remarkable home.

Our stay at the Sunset Cabin in Bigfork was absolutely perfect. The cabin was beautiful, clean, and had everything we needed for a relaxing getaway. Being right on Flathead Lake made it even more special—the private beachfront was stunning, and the views of the lake were breathtaking. We loved being able to step outside and enjoy the water just a few steps from the cabin.This is truly a gem, and we would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful, unforgettable stay on Flathead Lake. We can’t wait to come back!

Fabulous home

We have been coming to Flathead for many years and this is the first time we have stayed here. This home was everything we hoped for. The location is spectacular, and the accommodations were great for our group. We are already looking forward to next summer!!

Perfect place to enjoy Glacier National Park

We wanted a big house with Western charm for our family & friends. This is a beautifully decorated and maintained home right on the lake. Very comfortable and was perfect for us. The house manager, Nick, was great in every way and took good care of us.

Wonderful cabin

We recently spent a week on this property and it was everything you could ask for. We kayaked, paddle boarded, fished off the dock and the kids spent hours playing in the yard. It is a beautiful, peaceful setting and our family enjoyed every minute of our time there. We didn't want to leave and hope to stay in this cabin again in the future. Thank you so much for allowing us to stay in your beautiful cabin!

There is no place on earth like Flathead Lake. The home we were fortunate enough to get was not only beautiful, but the welcome from the property manager and shine of the housekeeping staff was beyond anything we expected. We loved every minute of our stay!

Glacier adventure

Property was awesome. Plenty of room for all of us. View from the deck was amazing. Water is shallow by the dock , so little ones could play in the water. House manager was on top of things. He responded quickly to any inquiry. Recommend staying here when in the area.

Family Reunion

Our family has been staying at this vacation home for the past 8 years as we gather for our family reunions. The home has all the needed amenities, plenty of space, large green lawn, a dock for boating and swimming, and even good fishing! It is close to Big Fork for shopping, and within easy driving distance to Glacier NP and Whitefish. The owners are very gracious and the past and current property managers (Melissa and Steve and now Nick) are so responsive and helpful as they endeavor to make the stay a perfect one for their guests. Our family loves this vacation home and will hopefully be able to enjoy it for many more years to come.

Beautiful Lake Home

The house is very cozy and comfortable and there was plenty of room for everyone. The views and the sunsets are breathtaking! The property manage was very responsive and helpful. The location of the house couldn't be better. It is right on Flathead lake and very close to downtown Bigfork, which is so cute! We went on a great hike at nearby Jewel Basin (recommended by a local at REI) and Glacier was only a 45 minute drive. The other side of Flathead Lake also has some great restaurants and an alpine coaster that was really fun. Kalispell is a short drive as well. We would love to come back for a longer stay next time. The few days we were there wasn't nearly enough to enjoy everything the area has to offer.

Luxury Stay

This house was everything I hoped it would be. The house has plenty of space to spread out yet has some great areas for the whole family to come together and enjoy the view. And speaking of the view, it doesn't get much better. The dock was very handy. We had 4 jet skis and a boat and could have had more if we wanted. House had plenty of amenities for cooking which is always nice. The property manager was on top of anything that we asked. I will definitely be returning to this place. You better book this place early because it fills up fast. Thanks for hosting us!

Well designed property on a spectacular lake, quite possibly the best family friendly lake ever.

Lots of beds, lots of bathrooms, as advertised. Good access to the dock and small beach with room to tie up the three boats we had. Clear, clear water at a perfect swimming temperature. The house was very livable with some minor irritations (gas stove burners sometimes needed to be lit with a match, old and dirty tea towels and pot holders, some basic utensils missing). Maintenance company immediately responsive when we called with concerns. There is a hot tub on the property but for some reason we were not allowed it’s use. Some paint is needed outside but that did not detract from our enjoyment. The journey from the main house to the guest house and also down to the dock could be described as vertical so be prepared. Also be prepared to launch your boat at nearby Woods Bay before bringing the empty trailer back to the house. In order to manoeuvre on the property, we had to unhook and move the trailers by hand before we could turn the vehicles around. Good grocery store in nearby Bigfork along with a few restaurants and tourist shops. Worth a visit.

We loved this property and the location. The house is beautifully decorated to give you the western vibe. It’s close to town and offsite activities. We loved cherry picking at the local orchard.We are a family who loves to cook and thought there could have been a few more frying pans and cookie sheets. A thermos for the coffee would also be a nice addition to the kitchen. We would also recommend some chairs on the dock. It’s hard to sit all day on the dock with no chairs. Thanks again for sharing your lovely home, we loved it!

Our family of seven had an absolutely awesome time in the Flathead / Glacier area of MT. The Sunset Cabin right on Flathead Lake was a perfect location. Loved all the amenities. Plenty of rooms, beds, bathrooms and open relaxing space. The sunsets were unbelievable. Each sunset was different and some of the best we have experienced anywhere. We spent time on the deck every morning and evening and had several fires down by the lake with the kids skipping rocks. There is a local eagle that flys by everyday about 11am. The grandkids played pool everyday and even bared the chilly water of the lake. The guest house was perfect for our daughter and son-in-law. The fireplaces worked and the sound system was a nice touch. The kitchen and huge dinning table made family meals easy. The location was perfect for getting to so many local sites and actives; Lake boat rental in Lakeside, ATV,s in Polson, Glacier NP visits, river rafting near glacier and the cute little town of Big Fork. WE 100% RECOMMEND SUNSET CABIN and would stay there again in a heart beat.
