Canary Castle, Your Seaside Retreat!

Canary Castle Villa is the place to be for beach front relaxation and fun! Located on a long beautiful beach by the historical lighthouse in Arecibo, Puerto Rico, your days will be filled with the sounds of the ocean. Enjoy the view from our infinity pool that seems to flow into the ocean, or walk a few steps and feel the sand between your toes. The beach is accessed from our deck area through a secure gate which opens directly onto the beach.

Canary Castle is fully equipped with kitchen, BBQ and bathroom supplies(Toilet Paper supplied for the first day use) as well as towels and chairs for the beach. Fully furnished and tastefully decorated you will feel right at home. All you need to bring are your flip-flops and bathing suit!

There is an outdoor bar with kitchen area, full bathroom and large gas BBQ grill (tank of gas not included) poolside as well as ample seating areas with outdoor couches for lounges.

Satellite flat screen TV, DVD player, cable TV ( Dish Network) and wireless internet to keep you connected.

The master suite (Queen bed) has a private bathroom and large balcony facing the ocean. The second bedroom has a bathroom right outside the door and has one double-sized bunk bed. The 3rd bedroom adjoins the master suite and contains a twin bunk bed. All bedrooms have air conditioning units.

The full kitchen has all appliances and comes fully equipped with a stove, microwave, toaster oven, coffee maker and dishwasher. A large bay window seating area adjoins the kitchen and has sweeping views of the ocean. An additional outdoor patio facing the ocean adjoins the house -- perfect for entertaining.

There is ample parking for 3 vehicles.

Canary Castle will be your own private retreat on the beach!

Girls Trip

What a beautiful beach home! The pictures don't show the true beauty of this home. As I walked into the home I was welcomed with a wonderful view of the ocean from the kitchen window. The home was clean and was big enough for 6 women to sleep comfortable. Check-In process was easy and the owner gave us so many options for places around the area. I would recommend this home to family and friends. I hope to visit again soon!

Great house!

We really enjoyed our stay at Canary Castle. The house was very clean and well-maintained.The ocean view is gorgeous and the pool was terrific. The owner was very easy to work with and answered any questions promptly. This house has everything you could possibly need for a fabulous vacation. The kitchen is fully stocked with all the appliances, dishes and utensils you would want. The bbq worked well and we enjoyed sitting outside eating dinner. We definitely will stay here again.

Beautiful stay

The neighborhood is a little run down but most of pr is due to hurricanes in the past.. but they are slowly but surely rebuilding. I circled around the entire island and our family felt right at home where we were. We were open minded with the location and it turned out the best. If you are looking for a place to feel right at home, welcomed and smaller shops to buy local. This is the house for you. Discover pr the real way. This house does not disappoint and neither does the location. Excellent food choices in the area and the beach was amazing. I would stay again and again. Thank you so much for being an excellent host.

Tropical Paradise :-)

This is a perfect house for a tropical beach getaway!! BOOK IT! Not only is it literally steps from the beach and has an amazing pool also (bigger than others, and big enough for the whole family and then some!) it is so uniquely decorated and homey! It has everything you need. Kitchen is stocked with any supplies you need, a big gas grill too. There’s even a full indoor bathroom outside! Bruce was easy and quick to communicate with also. We had two windows that needed the closing and opening mechanism replaced and he sent his handyman over the next day! And not have AC in the main living area was a non issue because the ocean breeze was awesome and they have several heavy duty ceiling fans. Heads up too, there is a great supply of spices, etc, vanilla extract, cinnamon, onion and garlic powder, Goya, salt, pepper, and honey! (Some of that bought by us and left there) Only caveat…when you do your big grocery shopping for your stay, get extra toilet paper. What was supplied only lasted us 3 days, we had 7 adults :-).

Canary Castle

First, The alarm to enter the front door was a bit tricky. There are 2 front doors, so I assumed the alarm pad was next to the front door that the lock box was on, I was wrong! Second, The Musky smell on the inside of the house lingered with our clothes when we got home. The beds were not comfortable for my wife, any of them. The back door really needs some kind of latch on it to keep it shut. The door next to the sec pad has louvers on it, there go directly to the outside, so you hear very clearly noise and the heat comes in as well. The outside back by the pool has seen it's better days. The outside bar is treible and unable to use. The pool is solar heated, meaning the sun heats it. The beach & scenery towards the ocean is Fricken Awsome! I coulds pick on everything that I found wrong with this vaca home. But because of hurricanes damage & the surrounding neighborhood which is not the owners fault. And finally, The owners, I could not have asked for better folks to have the pleasure to deal with, Unfortunately I became very, very ill and had to leave 4 days early & fly back to a hospital (again, no fault of the owners). The owners stayed in contact with me during my return to the states and after my hospital stay, Great Folks. Would we return to Canary Castle, No. FootNote: A monetary return of 4 days would have been a nice gesture, Just Sayin :)

Best place In the Beach!!

The pics in the site do not really show how wonderful and beautiful this place is, the beach is literally few steps from the house , the view magnificent, the sound of the waves totally relaxing!! I will definitely be back to this house in paradise!

Simply amazing

Pulling up to the property we were concerned with the accuracy of the pictures, but once inside those concerns were laid to rest. From the street this place seems like any ordinary house, but once inside it opens up to an amazing view of the beach, which is just steps away. It’s is as though you have your own private beach with the nicest cleanest sand you can imagine. We loved the pool and playing in the waves of the ocean. We would definitely stay here again. It was the perfect family getaway spot.

Great stay

Place was as described except the view from the pool. This place has the best view of the beach and ocean from the pool!!! Felt like a home and Bruce and Belinda were wonderful. They answered our questions promptly and were very helpful. They did not have strict rules for check in or check out as other rentals. We would definitely stay here again!!!

Couldn’t have picked a better place!

Canary castle was simply amazing! It’s beautiful and had everything we hoped it would. Belinda was very communicative throughout and was a great host. We’d absolutely stay here again! It was clean, had enough towels for everyone, had toiletries, kitchen was equipped with everything you need for cooking. A lot of common areas and the beds were good. The atmosphere outside was great, we had breakfast there every morning.

Great experience!! Family loved it!

We enjoyed every minute of our stay. Kid loved the pool! Although weather didn’t let us enjoy swim in the beach, we loved walking in the sand. Property is well cared. Hosts were very accesible.

Wonderful property and owners!

Property is incredible and accurately described. Very clean and comfortable. For us the beach behind the property was the best part of the property. Sand is super soft, water and waves were great for our kids and it’s literally 10 steps from back gate of property. Beach felt very private too...we didn’t see anyone. Rooms and beds were very comfortable. AC units worked well in all bedrooms. The owners were super nice and easy to work with. They communicated very timely and answered all of our questions. They even checked in with us multiple times during our week stay to make sure we were good to go. We would stay at Canary Castle again as well as recommend to our friends and family.

Fantastic house and location

This house is extremely comfortable, and great for families. The outdoor space is relaxing, with lots of shade and nice seating areas, including the hammocks. The beach was right out the gate and we had it almost to ourselves. Convenience stores and a few restaurants are within walking distance, and much more within a short drive.

My Personal Family Beach House

I have rented The Canary Castle 3 years on a row. 2014, 2015, 2016 The best experience with my children, my grandchildren, my mom and my husband. The most memorable experience with my cousin and children. The kitchen early in morning brewing my coffee, enjoyin breakfast and that puertorriquen bread with family omg! Great Escape!

The house was immaculate and exceeded our expectations in every way. There was something for everyone to do or not to do :-). Perfect seaside vacation home!

Our family of 5 stayed at Canary Castle for 10 days in July 2016 and would have stayed longer. Just the view and backdoor setting are worth the stay! But it is also very spacious, comfortable, nicely decorated and has everything to make you feel right at home. Its location allowed us to explore many parts of the country which we loved. The owner was very accommodating and responded to all our questions prior to arrival. Teresa and Rafael waited for us until midnight the night of our arrival because our flight was delayed and it was greatly appreciated. I would gladly recommend this vacation home. Thank you for making our summer 2016 vacation a wonderful experience!

Outstanding!

The house felt extremely warm and homely. Beautifully decorated. Every room in the house felt comfortable and relaxing. There was not one place I didn't want to relax in. The view was outstanding and intoxicating. The owners were sweet and warm and made us feel very welcomed. Would definitely be back next year and would recommend it to anyone visiting Puerto Rico, even though we would like to keep it our little secret.

I am a local girl having grown up in neighboring Vega Alta and now live and work with my husband Bruce in the Atlanta area.

Why they chose this property

We have always wanted a home on the beach. Bruce grew up in California and missed the ocean and especially surfing. After looking all over the world for the right place including Thailand, the Philippines, Central and South America we realized Puerto Rico had everything we wanted and once we found the Canary Castle we new our search was over.

What makes this property unique

The Canary Castle has so many charming aspects from the beach front living to all the little touches the original owners built in to the home. The minute we walked in we felt at home. The villa is furnished so comfortably inside and out that it can be hard to decide where to sit and relax. From the hammocks and pool to the beach there is little freedom from choice how and where you want to spend your time.
