Our property rents weekly from Sunday to Sunday from June 21st till August 30th. Please book accordingly.

Welcome to The Chalet on the Lake — a stunning lakeside retreat designed for both large family gatherings and intimate getaways. From the moment you step into the grand entrance, you’ll be greeted by soaring windows and an open floor plan that perfectly frames breathtaking views of Lake Wallenpaupack.

Relax and unwind in one of the many cozy seating areas, enjoy a drink in the enclosed screened porch, or simply watch the boats drift by from nearly every room in the house. Whether you’re here for a weekend escape or an extended stay, the view alone makes this home unforgettable.

GUEST ACCESS
Access to the property is contactless by lock box. Our Digital Welcome Guide is a complete guide to your arrival, stay and departure for your rental home. The Welcome Guide is sent when the required forms and information is received.
Guests have access to the whole house. Locked closets/areas are as follows: 1 linen closet on 3rd floor and two doors in basement leading to owners private storage area are also locked.

OTHER THINGS TO NOTE - BOOKING REQUIREMENTS
75% of guests need to be 30 or older with an exception for children traveling with their parents. The remaining 25%, will need to be 25 and over.
This home is for families and respectful guests, it is not a party property. All bookings are required to sign a short-term lease after the booking has been accepted to satisfy community requirements.

WHO WE ARE
This property is managed by a local real estate agent. Property Owners rely on our team to book and manage their home for you and to make sure your rental needs are met. To make sure each property is well maintained, each reservation will require a rental agreement to be signed. The Rental Agreement is posted on this site and is available for review at check out. In addition to the Rental Agreement posted on VRBO, you will receive a Reservation Form that is required to be completed within 48 hours of receipt.
Our communities are also governed by township Rental Ordinances which impose certain rules and regulations for owners.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT
Our rental management includes 24-hour emergency response for any issues that arise.

Parking can accommodate ONLY 4 cars and 1 boat trailer. Parking is very limited and driveway is steep. Once down at the house it levels out but doesn't leave room for more cars than can park on the level space.

Day Guests are limited to 9.

LAKE INFO
Swimming and/or Floating is encouraged. Water is great for swimming and water levels are always high enough for a boat to be docked
Rocky Shoreline access – lake level fluctuates depending on the season.
Spring – Lake levels will be high. The docks do not start getting installed until late April. We do not GUARANTEE any dock in the water before Memorial Day.
Summer – High Water Mark is June 1st. Depending on the weather, the lake levels may come up higher than that making the docks hard to access as their walkways will be underwater. We do our best to make sure they are accessible, but we cannot always get to them on demand.
Fall – Water levels will be lowest, and docks will start to be removed from the lake until the spring. Boats can still be docked, water levels at the end of the docks are still acceptable for boat docking.
Winter – Lake usually freezes, and ice fishing is popular. Any access to the frozen lake is “at your own risk”.

HOUSE RULES
No Smoking inside – smoking outside only. Must not leave any butts and ashes behind
NO FIREWORKS or discharging of any firearm is not permitted. Includes BB, air, pellet, paint guns.
Quiet time 11pm – 8am – this is a family-oriented neighborhood, no late-night parties allowed. Voices carry at night when it’s quiet. If you are out late at the firepit or on the deck, please keep noise to a minimum.

* Please be aware our home does not have Air Conditioning. The cool breeze from the lake can be very enjoyable and each room has ceiling fan/window fans. The screen porch allows you to open the doors and enjoy the natural breeze.
