Perfect Getaway

We really enjoyed the location of the property. The apartment was just the right size for the two of us. It did have a few issues. There were ants in the kitchen, no cabinets to store food and really needed a dehumidifier. Everything felt damp. We did enjoy our stay .

Clean property, perfect for husband, dog and me, just steps out onto the beach! Not an unobstructed view of the beach, due to ground level unit and a small dune obstructing view. Only drawback was that this is a ground level unit, with 2 units above it. You can easily hear people above walking, opening and closing doors, etc

The property was much smaller than I expected. It was on the bottom floor on the back side of the building and it was difficult to find. The eating arrangement was a very small bar, no table. There was dog hair on the living room rug and bedroom floor. The toilet moved when we sat on it.The worst thing was I heard a rat gnawing on the wall this morning, which explains the 3 rat traps that we saw around the building. I am usually very satisfied with the VRBO accommodations we have stayed in, but I would not recommend Dogwood 3.

Clean place. Needs additional and better pictures to clearly show interior and exterior. Needs places to put things. Such as shelves, hooks, cabinets etc. NOT STAND ALONE HOME. The space is 1 of 3 “apartments” set up in a house. We had the downstairs unit. Upstairs noises were very loud even with 2 white noise machines that we brought. Shared laundry with other 2 units in separated room. Barebones set ups as far as kitchen. Very few dishes, cutlery. We didn’t cook anything, so not sure about cooking set up. Bed was very soft and very warm. Maybe memory foam issue?? Management company was very nice and responsive about a few small things upon arrival. Wi-fi was fine. About 1 mile from middle of town. A couple of tv trays or small coffee table would also be a good idea.

Cute, quiet, little beach house had everything we needed for the perfect weekend getaway. We visited for my daughter’s 10th birthday she loved every second. We’ll definitely be returning soon.
