I was born and raised in a rural town north of Boston Massachusetts, my wife, Rebecca, is from Chicago. We met in Providence, Rhode Island at college. We were both trained in the arts and live and work in Rhode Island. Rebecca is a Jewelry designer and I am a retired cabinetmaker now Materials Manager for a display company. We are both lovers of housing stock from yesteryear.

Why they chose this property

We looked for almost a year for just the right house. We put a compass in the center of Lenox and drew a 20 mile radius. My wife and I felt that Lenox is the center of the Berkshires, I'm sure others could argue, but for us, we are 10 minutes from Tanglewood. 40 minutes down the road from the Clark Museum or Mass-MoCA. 10 minutes from Shakespeare & Company or 20 minutes to Berkshire Theater Group. If yoga is your focus Kripalu another 5 minutes down the road from Tanglewood. I forgot Dance, Jacob’s Pillow is 20 minutes to the East.
And if it’s the outdoors you want anywhere in the Berkshires is the center. That explains the location. , As to the house and the land, the house was built in 1918 for the Parker Farm. And the land is some of the rolling fields’ clear back then for the farm. The farm backs up to the wetlands of the Housatonic River and be on that is October Mountain. The sunrises are spectacular.

What makes this property unique

The 100 year old house was recently renovated, exterior and interior. New plumbing, new wiring, 3 new full bathrooms. This old gem was not going to be constantly chasing me for another fix. The view out the back is quintessential Berkshires
