Talkeetna Eastside Cabin is a family owned business with 5 different units available to rent. Two are Yurts, 1 Cabin, The Nook -small townhouse, The Suite, larger townhouse. Our campus is located in a quiet, wooded neighborhood only 4 blocks from downtown Talkeetna and all the activities.
The Nook is a sunlit unit nestled in a quiet wooded neighborhood. It has a cozy sleeping nook - 1Q, that is off the living area - privacy curtain. It is a favorite for kids. The upstairs loft has 1Q and 1F. The downstairs has a kitchen/living room and bathroom. There is a sauna, bbq grill, fire pit, pavilion available to share with other guests on the campus.

The Nook is approx. 600 sq. ft.

Cute property

Cute property and location is easy walk to Main Street. We enjoyed the sauna. The extra bed nook was quirky for adult couple.

The coziest nook

This was the perfect spot for our family of 4! We had everything we needed and enjoyed being just a short walk from town. The home was accurately listed, clean, and well equipped. The beds were comfy and I loved crawling into the nook to sleep each night. My husband enjoyed the sauna. If you’re looking for somewhere to stay in Talkeetna and an easy day trip to Denali NP then definitely book this home!

We were two couples - all on our 70’s. The downstairs “nook” bedroom required one person to climb over another to get in or out. Kitchen space was wanting. There was barely enough silverware for meals (had to supplement with our own). Heating was barely adequate.Hosts were friendly and accommodating.

Clean, convenient location, quiet area

Small cabin but had everything a family of 4 needed for one night stay. Cabin was clean and the nook was a nice feature that our 17-year-old daughter enjoyed. Would stay again if we make it back to Talkeetna.

Cozy night in The Nook

My parents, two kids, and I stayed in the Nook for one night in July. It was the perfect size for our group for one night. The adults slept upstairs and the kids shared the nook bed, which they thought was awesome. The kitchen was well equipped, the beds were comfy, and the town of Talkeetna is minutes away! Would definitely stay here again if we're ever lucky enough to visit the area again! Great stay!

Beautiful trees

Cozy, sweetly decorated little house with very fun board game. We walked a few blocks into town for dinner on dirt roads among gorgeous trees in fall colors.

Worked well for us!

Only stayed one night (which was planned). Smaller Than expected but still worked fine. Listed as sleeps 6, which is accurate, but to get everyone together in an inside area for conversation would have been crowded. Fine for 4 people, which is what we had.

Nice stay (for suite)

Due to some mixup, the host put our family of 4 in the suite (instead of the cabin). This was a huge place with 5 or so beds and more than what we needed as a small family. The place was very clean and had all the amenities (including washer/dryer). It was a little dated, but it added to the charm. Our family loved our time there. Since we didn't stay in the nook, I don't know how that would have worked out.

Lovely place but bad gas smell

The place and location was perfect. The only downside was the gas smell emanating from the heater. We never turned the heater on but there was a distinct gas/diesel odor throughout the downstairs which was not inviting. We had to keep all the windows open all night. The owner was very responsive but could not do anything about it as it is probably the nature of those types of portable heaters. I would not stay here again because of that.

Great little place, had everything we needed. 15-20 walk into town which was nice. Wish there was maybe a small table on the deck to sit and enjoy the beautiful property.

Quaint, rustic cabin. Perfect for an overnight stay on our way to Denali. Would stay here again. Loved the notch bed on the 1st floor. Cute architectural design. Conveniently located close to downtown. Would definitely stay here again.
