Our stay was great. Very comfortable, clean, and very responsive with our questions. Location was an easy walk to dowtown restaurants and shops and the train station. We would definitely stay here again and i highly recommend this property to anyone staying without transportation in Talkeetna.
Cute, quaint, and close to everything in Talkeetna
We were in town for one night before taking a floatplane tour to Denali, and this was perfect for my group of one couple and a single friend. Easy to find, easy to park, and cute cabin/cottage kind of feel.
We spent two nights here with four adults and two kiddos. Two of the “bedrooms” are not totally private, but everyone was very comfortable. We brought bikes for the short trip into town. Thanks for a fun place to stay!
The cabin was so cute and super close to downtown Talkeetna. (The host even left a great binder to help us find a short cut!) It was well stocked with the essentials and very clean.
Our family really enjoyed staying at this property. It was very roomy and everyone had their own room and bed. The beds were nice and very comfortable. The location was extremely quiet and relaxing. You could walk to Talkeetna from here. We saw a mother and baby moose in the yard one evening! I thought the house was very clean and the kitchen has all the basics for cooking meals. We really liked this house.
We were a little confused about the location of the property and wandered around a bit with suitcases in tow from the railroad before finding it. It is about a 10 minute walk to the middle of town, and to the the railroad. The rooms were on the small side but comfortable. Kitchen and living room are full size and homey. We loved the mosaic decor.
Great location and owner was very accommodating. We have small children and owner was willing to get our unit cleaned first to allow them to get a nap in. Very happy in our experience
Sweet little modern cabin unit perched high on a ridge. Was not difficult at all to drive up to with a small RAV 4 SUV. Great sheets and towels is always a welcome touch. Spotless. The mini fridge, microwave and kettle with tea supplies met our breakfast needs perfectly. We supplied our own bowls and spoons. Simple cellular shades on the lower level. Lots of windows helped keep the temperature of the loft comfortable without needing the a/c. We were totally happy.
I gave this property a four for "accuracy of listing" because the bedroom at the top of the narrow stairway is not a bedroom but a landing with a king size bed and two bedrooms off of that area. One of the bedrooms on the second floor has a half bath which is nice. The bedroom on the first floor is like a library with a queen size bed inside of it and a curtain separating it from the living room - this was okay for us but might not be for everyone. It is a small suite attached to other units.
My husband spoke to the owners and they were very friendly and helpful. There are a lot of mosquitos so bring industrial strength bug spray. There are no taxi's in Talkeetna contrary to what the house book shows. I asked the property manager to update the book regarding that. Our group of six did not have a car and the downtown was a solid six to eight block walk.
Our family just loved this cozy cottage! Very clean, well equipped and with many thoughtful touches. An ideal location for exploring Talkeetna and easy access to our Denali flight. The sauna was just what we needed on a cool and misty day. We really appreciated the easy access to a washer and dryer to refresh our vacation wardrobe!
Amazing cottage! So quirky and fun! Definitely a destination to visit again. A little bit of a walk to downtown if you don’t have a car but well worth it!

Liked: Cleanliness, communication, location
Disliked: Check-in, listing accuracy
House was clean. Beds comfortable. Within walking distance to town.
There were a few cobwebs and places that could have been cleaned a little better, but nothing bad or that caused problems. In general it was very clean. The room configuration wasn't ideal for us, but it is clearly stated in the description and we new what we were getting. All that sounds negative, but overall it was a good place to stay. The kids loved the sauna, and I liked that it was surrounded by trees. Even though it was fairly close to downtown, it didn't feel like being in town.
Enjoyed our time at the cabin with the family. The listing was as described and comfortable. The walk to Main Street was easy. Excellent book about the area that the owner made.
