About this property

Comfortable cabin in the mountains of North Carolina, located near TIEC.

1/2 mile from TIEC. King quality AIR BED, air conditioned. Communal Fire pit. Our upper level cabins will give you the feeling of being in the trees. You will have SHARED use of 4 bathrooms and kitchenettes. Snacks will be in your room. On this level, you will have access to your private balcony and shared use of our lighted tree house deck to watch the moon and the stars!

This is a "glamping experience", not a hotel stay, almost like camping. The cabins are NOT soundproof. You will likely hear birds; acorns falling upon the tin roof and will see butterflies and lightening bugs. You can take advantage of our Grand Porch to enjoy the fresh air, the mountains and sky. Our Grand Porch is also a wonderful spot for an outdoor wedding.

We love and appreciate our trees. We have tried to keep the natural atmosphere by not removing too many of them. The atmosphere is relaxing. The upper deck makes you feel like you are sitting in the trees and at night, you are a little closer to the stars.


Kids note: Children need to be supervised by a guardian.

We stayed here while attending the Earl Scruggs Music Festival at TIEC. It was a good value, especially compared to the on site options. It is a short distance to TIEC, but it is a drive, not a walk, which wasn't a problem. The room was clean and well stocked with everything we needed, and the A/C worked well. There are two bathrooms in the adjacent building that were clean and convenient. In this building, there was also a refrigerator and Keurig type coffee maker. Two criticisms: 1. The bed was a large king-sized air mattress (which in fairness, we knew from the listing), but my husband found it uncomfortable. 2. The grounds were a little unkempt - leaves, debris, etc., on the decks. While this did not detract from our stay, it would have appeared more welcoming if the decks had been recently blown off. Overall, a good stay - I would stay again, but would prefer a regular mattress.
