I spent 5 days here with a friend and we really enjoyed ourselves. The location is spot on; we loved the rooftop terrace; the place felt homey and comfortable and was exactly what we expected.
This property is in a great location (Condesa) in a beautiful and exciting city. Most places you will want to visit are within walking distance, and Ubers are plentiful and reasonable. The house is beautifully decorated and situated in a quiet neighborhood. The rooftop patio is a great place to relax after your day on the town. Our son and daughter-in-law arrived separately from us and Julian (the host) was very accommodating. An outstanding experience. Highly recommend
this is a special property that has a lot of personality and is located on a magical block in Condesa. It feels like a real person's home rather than a bland empty hotel room. We loved being there, the view out onto the street, the roof, the overall vibe. Communication with the host was excellent. THere are a couple of quirks to know about-the back interior window opened above the living room of the apartment below, and when the people there were in the apt we could hear their conversations uncomfortably clearly. The one shared bathroom, which has entrances from both sides, has to be navigated if you are not staying as a couple. We found it worth it to navigate for such a unique place!
The apartment is located on a quiet block in La Condesa. Everything is close including great restaurants and bakeries. For those wanting to cook, the Sumesa Oaxaca grocery store is a quick 3 minute walk. The apartment is quirky and comfortable, with a roof top terrace and a spacious, sunny shower. Julian was so accommodating, providing recommendations and responding quickly to inquiries. We can't wait to come back to Mexico City!
The place was not as advertised. There was a thin glass window separating the downstairs through which we could hear the other residents as if they were in the same room. There were mosquitos inside and we received bites on the one evening we were there, even though the rest of our trip, being outside all times of day and night we received none. The upstairs patio and the way the inside looked were not as it was in pictures. Things did not feel updated, such as the towels which were old and felt like sandpaper. The TV was not working and while the owner was very responsive to trying to fix it, I spent an entire evening being talked through the remotes and having someone come by to try to fix it. I appreciated that the owner was responsive to trying to fix it. However, after finding the place was nothing like it was advertised, he was unwilling to work with us to rectify the situation. It was a very frustrating experience.
