The backyard is a full private retreat with elevated deck & covered Barrel Sauna & Hot tub to enjoy year round rain, shine or snow. All around is a 7 foot tall fence and beautiful mature trees that provide all the privacy you need. Outdoor dining and Adirondack chairs to enjoy relaxing evenings around the fire pit surrounded by native plants and flowers.

When you walk in from the front porch will shelter you from the elements and the good size mudroom is outfitted with coat hangers, boot tray and built in bench.

You will then enter the dining room which is the central space of the unit ideal for meals, home office and board games evening with built banquette with leather cushions, solid walnut dining table, mood lighting and curated cabin style art all around.


To your right the master bedroom features privacy black out blinds, hotel quality mattress and bedding, Pendleton wool blanket, designer's furniture and rugs

Also on your right the living room also features black out blinds and a Queen size Murphy bed with Hotel Quality mattress and bedding for additional 2 sleeps.
A leather couch and two vintage designer's chairs, Flat screen smart TV with all your favorite apps Netflix, Amazon., Disney and more... a selection of books and board games, and ton of natural light overlooking the backyard and front porch.

Down the small hallway the kitchen is fully equipped with chef's appliances, cookbooks, coffee & tea station and also features a laundry corner with washer & dryer.

Lastly the bathroom is small yet luxurious, with stylish walk in shower, toilet and vanity.

Located downtown Sandpoint, you can walk to coffee shops, restaurants, theatre, shopping, farmer's market, city beach, marina, parks and more.

You will also find some exceptional hiking trails with stunning views, waterfalls, mountain biking trails, u pick farms, breweries, state parks, lakes and rivers all within 10 to 30 minutes from the property.

Other activities in the area include: cross country skiing, kayaking, canoeing, white water rafting, foraging, horse back riding, mountain climbing etc..

The private parking is located in front of the property.
On the day of your check-in, we will text or message your the access codes for the alarm and key lock box.

Other Things to Note:
Barrel retreat is located in a beautiful original craftsman home downtown Sandpoint. The house is set up as duplex with back to back units and was designed with comfort & privacy in mind. The second unit is located on the back side of the house with full separation and privacy. That being said you might hear other guests during your stay.

We strive to provide a five star experience for all who stay with us. Being a remodeled unit in an older home, you will enjoy a true North Idaho experience but if you're looking for a brand new modern home this is probably not the place for you . Sometimes ‘nature’ will find its way inside the home as well as on the porch.
In winter your parking and access to the property will be plowed as well as access to Sauna and Hot tub but the backyard will not and outdoor dining & fire pit will not be accessible during snowy winter months.


If we as the owners find out that there are more than the number of guests permitted, we have the right to terminate your stay.
No smoking or vaping allowed & no parties allowed or loud music after 7PM. $500 fine for violators.
