Inside, you'll find 4 beautifully renovated bedrooms, each designed for ultimate comfort. If there is one thing we know, it’s how to host a crowd! With 11 children and 7 grandchildren, we’ve spent years perfecting the art of "togetherness." We know that a great vacation isn’t just about a beautiful house—it’s about having enough fridge space for the milk, enough seats at the table for everyone, and enough activities to keep every generation entertained.

We’ve called the beautiful hills of Brown County home for 18 years, and we never tire of the peace and magic of these woods. As a big family, our favorite memories are made right here—usually centered around the pool! We specifically designed the 20x40 heated pool to be a place where the grandkids can splash for hours while the adults relax nearby. It’s been the heart of our family summers, and we’re so excited to share it with you.

We are avid travelers ourselves, and we’ve taken everything we love about our favorite stays—and everything we’ve learned from our own big family adventures—and poured it into this lodge.

Our goal is to provide a space where you can "unplug" from the noise of the world and "plug in" to each other. We hope you make memories here that last a lifetime!

Whether it’s a morning swim or a midnight soak under the stars, the privacy of our 16-acre lot bordering the Hoosier National Forest ensures your only neighbors are the deer and the owls.

2. A Kitchen Built for Real Hosting--Feeding 10+ people can be a chore—unless you have a kitchen designed for it. With double everything (2 stoves, 2 fridges, 2 dishwashers), you’ll never struggle with fridge space or cleanup. Our massive 8-person island and 10-person dining table ensure that mealtime remains the social heart of your trip, not a logistical headache.

3. Historic Character Meets Modern Fun--Our private theater features 100-year-old antique theater seats that tell a story. Pair that with an 8' Olhausen pool table and multiple arcades, and you have a dedicated entertainment area that keeps the kids (and kids-at-heart) busy while others enjoy the quiet of the Great Room.

4. The "Backyard" is a National Forest--You don't have to drive to a trailhead. Step off the property and directly into hundreds of acres of untouched wilderness. Whether you're fishing in the private pond or "forging your own path" through the forest, the sense of adventure here is literal and immediate.

5. Hosted by a Family Who Gets It--As parents of 11 and grandparents of 7, we know what makes a group trip work. From the two sets of washers/dryers to the open-air bunk loft that keeps the kids connected, every detail has been refined by 18 years of local experience.

1. The "Double-Everything" Advantage Most rentals "sleep 10" but aren't built to host 10. We eliminated the kitchen bottleneck with two of everything: 2 stoves, 2 fridges, and 2 dishwashers. Spend your time making memories, not waiting on the dishwasher or struggling to fit groceries.

2. A Private Gateway to the Wild We share a border with the Hoosier National Forest. This is a rare experience where your backyard extends into hundreds of acres of untouched wilderness. Total seclusion that is impossible to find in a standard resort or neighborhood.

You have 16 private acres of forest to explore. For the more adventurous, our property line is the gateway to hundreds of acres of Hoosier National Forest. Because this specific section of the forest has no formal trails, it offers a rare "off-map" experience. It is perfect for backcountry hikers, nature photographers, and those seeking total seclusion from the typical tourist crowds.

3. The Antique Cinema Experience Our theater features 100-year-old historic seats and a library of hundreds of DVDs. It’s a dedicated entertainment wing that allows for a loud movie night downstairs while others enjoy quiet by the fireplace upstairs.

4. All-Season Celebration Ready From May to October, enjoy the 20x40 pool. From November through January, the Lodge becomes a Christmas wonderland with professional decor and multiple trees. We provide the festive backdrop; you just bring the family.

5. Hosted by "Group Experts" As parents of 11 and grandparents of 7, we designed this home for large groups. We’ve handled the details: from on-demand hot water (no cold showers!) to two sets of washers/dryers for active families.
