Welcome to our retreat in the woods! Having grown up in the "dogtooth" of southern Illinois, we love to share the beauty and tranquility of this unique area of the state. Having hunted this area for 30+ years, we know the hills and the swamps, as well as the best fishing spots, hikes, fun artisan shops, best wineries, and all that southern Illinois has to offer. We're all about the outdoors and making your experience a memory you'll want to make over and over.

Why they chose this property

We're located off a main road between Cape Girardeau, MO (about 14 miles) and Tamms, IL. We're close enough to town, Horseshoe Lake, Cache River wetlands, Mermet, Crab Orchard, Giant City State Park, and the wine trail to have fun and still be far enough to get away from it all.

What makes this property unique

We're big and we're built for enjoying the outdoors. Our outdoor living space is huge with a patio and grill, 24-ft gazebo and firepit. You can enjoy coffee and watch the deer and squirrels or roast marshmallows and tell ghost stories with the lightning bugs. We've hosted fishermen, friends, and hunters for 20+ years and wanted to open it up to anyone looking for a quiet getaway with friends and family.
