Excellent vacation house

This is the perfect vacation home especially for a large family we had 14 people and it was more than enough room I highly recommend this rental only downfall the yard really needed to be cut

Wonderful place!

Anna is a wonderful host. We booked the house for our wedding on the beach and was always on top of answering all of our questions as we were visiting from out of town. The house was perfect for everyone that stayed with us. Very much recommend for anyone who wants to be near the beach for a great price!

The Family loved the home.

This property has everything you need. It's spacious and has enough room to fit at least 20 people comfortably. Really liked that the grills were in the back also.

Everything you need!

Booked this house for a trip with my friends, it was everything we needed. The walk to the beach is short and sweet, plenty of parking at the house. Beds were so comfortable, and the rooms were spacious. The amenities were perfect. Property manager was quick to respond to any questions and was always willing to help. 10/10 would definitely come back.

Big spacious house.

Loved the location. Quiet and almost no cars on the streets. House was big with room for everyone. It had everything we needed. The only reason I give 4 on cleanliness is because there was quite a bit of sand on the floors when we arrive. Specially in the downstairs bedrooms. Had a very pleasant stay!

Very nice

We loved staying at surf side shores! We took a big group (20) of college students and adults from our church and had plenty of room for everyone to stay. The property was in pretty great shape and we enjoyed our time. We wish it was a little bit closer to the beach! It's not a bad walk at all unless you are carrying lots of beach equipment. Overall we had a great time and would stay there again!

Wonderful, Spacious House

This house is great for a group. The home is spacious with a huge kitchen and living room area. It is perfect for groups/families that want to cook and gather together. There is plenty of space for everyone. The master bedrooms are very large as well and there is big back yard. The owner was prompt to respond to calls. The sink had a slow drain, but they are having it fixed. The beach is a few blocks away. We walked everyday and it was pleasant. I recommend this house- we had a great time!

Nice Getaway

Despite few things that could have been better in the space, this was a great place to stay! The air conditioning worked on the first floor but not so much on the 2nd floor especially during the day. Dishwasher on 2nd floor was broken, handle of freezer on 2nd floor also broke off when we tried pulling it. All in all a good place to bring a big party of family/ friends.

Thank you for leaving your feedback! I apologize for the inconveniences you faced during your stay. I was not aware of the broken dishwasher or the freezer handle, as both were fine when I was there for a walk through the day prior to your arrival. I will definitely check on it to see what's going on with it when I'm there tomorrow. Unfortunately, the air conditioner does struggle to cool such a big space in 100+ degrees weather, but I will call a maintenance team just to be sure to check it functions properly. I'm glad that you were still able to enjoy your time with family and friends!

Family Beach Trip

This house was perfect for our family beach trip. We had 3 families meet up for a total of 14 people. There was plenty of space to sleep and hang out. It was a great set up for us to hang out and spend time together. It’s about a 10 minute walk to get to the beach and there is no parking at the beach access. Golf cart access would be helpful to get all your stuff to and from the beach but we had enough people in our group to carry our items to and from the beach. The beach is family friendly and not too crowded/wild. Also, just note that it’s about a 15-20 minute drive to a grocery store or restaurant.

Live and learn

The pictures looked good, but we were very disappointed when we saw the property. The grounds were in horrible shape and the bottom floor was not very nice. The top floor was nice. We were new to this process, and did not know how to evaluate the property. I suppose it was a good deal for the price, but we were looking for something a little nicer. It definitely needs some work

I appreciated your phone call to let me know of the broken shower on the first floor, and that the cleaning crew didn't meet yours and mine expectations with cleaning the first floor. Since your stay, the shower was fixed and I hired a different cleaning crew, so I hope this doesn't happen to any other guests.

Best Beach Stay Experience

Lovely home and perfect location for a vacation. My family and extended family, total 20 plus one pet, stayed 4 nights. We had a beautiful experience walking to and from surf side beach. I appreciated the large fenced backyard as the creek was directly behind for my 3 year old to play safely in the backyard. The back balcony was great for having your morning coffee or evening drinks while listening to music. The decor details were outstanding. My only surprise was the queen(futon like) in the living room seemed small but still did its job for my brother in law. All the bedrooms upstairs were very spacious, so you can even put in an inflatable bed or sleep on couches if preferred as some of our single guys did in staying up late together. The host Anna was quick to answer questions, helped resolve technical issues, very sweet, and professional. She really cares about providing a wonderful experience and we sure did have the best family vacation.

Access to the beach was not very clear

Previous reviews mentioned misses by the cleaning team. I had some of same issues. Truly felt like no one checked on the property before our arrival. The table the tv in the upstairs area was extremely dusty. Found hair in the downstairs shower and it was musty. Leftover ice cream in the freezer. Also the grass in the backyard was pretty tall. Last thing was towels - hand towel I used had a hole in it. Everything else fine.

Bigger than expected

We were greatly impressed with the space of the place and the layout. We had 5 families stay and it was more room than we needed. The upstairs kitchen was huge and provided enough room for all of us to be in there when we were cooking. The backyard was amazing for all the kids to go out and play and there was a screened in porch that us parents sat in. There was a small water area behind the house that some of the men went fishing in, not catching anything big haha. The walk to the beach was about 3 blocks, but it was a nice relaxing walk. We used our wagon when we went for the entire day. There were rental areas available if people wanted those. The parking area was perfect. We came for a travel ball tournament and had the entire team over one night and there was enough room for everyone to park. The only complaint that we have is a petty small one, we didn't have enough towels for everyone and there were no kitchen towels or wash clothes . The owner was over-the-top nice and even mailed my daughters bunny that she left in the master bedroom back to us. That meant the world to us, those that have children who can only sleep with a certain thing know what I mean. We would come back and use this place again. We felt safe and comfortable and had an amazing trip.

Family beach vacation

We had a great time. I am generally not a beach guy, so I was a little apprehensive, and we had a large group which would all be staying in this one house. But it was more than advertised. There were two bedrooms downstairs, which meant that I as the elder statesman, had a room to myself. Plus there was a small kitchen and den down there. Most of the action was upstairs where there were two other regular bedrooms and a very large master suite. Then, even better was a "bunk room" not with bunkbeds but with two queen beds and a sofa which opened up into a bed - this allowed up to put most of the kids there. Thus we all had a comfortable place to sleep. The kitchen upstairs was large and was open which gave a lot of room for the four cooks to do their thing. It opens into a very large dining/living area which was able to accommodate our whole group. Off of this was a large deck overlooking the back yard. This was the most pleasant surprise as it was a very large yard and the kids were able to play soccer there and hunt frogs. Beyond the back chain link fence was a canal between the next house, affording an opportunity to see some small gators. It was not fancy, which was to my liking , but very clean and while not right on the beach, only a short walk there. The beach was never overly crowded, even on the 4th of July weekend. I would highly recommend this place.

Good but a few disapointments

We had a good stay. We chose the property because of having little ones and it had a fenced in back yard. We didn’t let our little kids play in the yard because the fence was falling down and they could get on the boat dock and it was not safe. The shed in the back is open and had items in it that we didn’t want the kids to have access to. The grill was charcoal and not gas which we maybe didn’t pay attention to in the details but previous users did not take care of it. The handle on the freezer was broken, the washer and dryer were not working and the upstairs air conditioner does not cool efficiently. The cleaning company does not pay attention to details as there was blood and dirt on doors. Overall we did have a great time as a family and we do appreciate Anna opening her home to us.

Get the house insurance

Had a great vacation, just make sure you get house insurance, one girl in our party sat on queen size bed and a piece of iron rod on bottom of bed broke. It must have been very old or already broken, because girl only weighted 120 lbs. Landlord turned it into insurance for a new bed. Good thing I got the insurance or it would have cost me $465.

False advertisement

We did not stay at this home because of the safety and cleanliness. There were bugs, exposed outlets, a large enough gap at bottom of door frame for spiders/mice etc to get in. There was mold in the showers. I have dozens of pics that prove all this. She didn’t want to refund my money so ended up having to dispute with my credit card company to get a refund. Do not fall for her “perfect” reviews that are to good to be true because they are probably fake reviews!!

House was perfect size for our group of 18. Anna, the host, was very quick to answer questions and thorough. If you stay here, you might want to rent a golf cart if you plan to frequent the beach and have a lot of stuff to carry. It is a bit of a walk. But, for the price of the house, it was great for us. House was clean, and everything worked great. Beds were a bit uncomfortable (soft and sinking in the middle), but that wasn’t a showstopper for us.

I am so sorry your found the beds uncomfortable, I actually have a 3 inch memory foam mattress topper on each of the beds to make them soft, as previous guests mentioned the beds were too hard :-) For any future guests that read this message, please feel free to take the topper off, if you prefer firmer beds ;-), or let me know ahead of time, and I will make sure the maintenance crew does that prior to your stay!
