Bonnie Dunes

Welcome to Bonnie Dunes, a 6-bedroom, 6-bathroom duplex that sleeps 20 and is perfect for your next family getaway or group retreat!  Each side of the home can be rented separately as a single-sided duplex with three bedrooms and three bathrooms, sleeping 10 on each side. Whether you prefer lounging on the beach or hanging by the pool, Bonnie Dunes is the place for your next beach getaway!

About Bonnie Dunes 

Guests can rent this as one unit with double the amenities in this duplex home - double living areas and kitchens to accommodate your family or large group during your stay. With a private pool (shared by both sides of the duplex) and a picnic area on each side of the front deck and lounge seating by the pool, guests will enjoy soaking up the sun all day! It’s also pet-friendly for up to 2 dogs with additional fees, so furry friends can join the fun.

Bonnie Dunes West

On the west side, on the main level of the home, guests will find an open living area with access to the front deck to view the beach, a TV, and a comfortable sleeper sofa to sleep two, There is a dining area that features a beautiful, farm-style table that seats 8, perfect for enjoying a meal with the family prepared in the fully equipped kitchen! If additional seating is needed, there is bar seating for 2! Bedroom #1 is located on the main level and has a queen-size bed that sleeps two and a TV. There is also a full bathroom located on the main level, off of the kitchen and bedroom #1, that features a walk-in shower.

On the second level, guests will find master bedroom #3 and bedroom #2. The master suite is equipped with a king-size bed that sleeps two, a TV, access to the balcony with beach views, and an attached, private bathroom that features a large shower/tub combo. Bedroom #2 is equipped with a bunk bed/twin over full plus a twin trundle to sleep four and a TV. On the second level, there is also a full bathroom with a shower/tub combo and a laundry room with a full-size washer and dryer for guests to use during their stay. 

Bonnie Dunes East

On the east side, on the main level of the home, guests will find an open, spacious living area with access to the front deck to view the beach, a TV, and a comfortable sleeper sofa to sleep two. There is a lovely dining area that features a table that seats 4 and additional bar seating for 2! The kitchen is fully equipped with all the appliances needed during your stay. Bedroom #1 is located on the main level and has a queen-size bed that sleeps two and a TV. There is also a full bath located on the main level, off of the kitchen and bedroom #1, that features a walk-in shower.

On the second level, guests will find master bedroom #2 and bedroom #3. The master suite is equipped with a king-size bed and a bunk bed that sleeps four, a TV, access to the balcony with beach views, and an attached, private bathroom that features a large shower/tub combo. Bedroom #2 is equipped with a queen bed that sleeps two, a TV, and an attached, private bathroom with a shower/tub combo. On the second level, there is also a laundry room with a full-size washer and dryer for guests to use during their stay.

Overall nice we had an issue with the pool it couldn't be used until our last day there. They gave a small refund because of the pool.My thoughts are if you have vacation rentals you should do better.

Excellent Beach House!

We all really enjoyed our stay at this location. It was very clean and had everything we needed to have a great weekend. The walk to the beach was super short and made it easy to get back and forth throughout the weekend. The pool was perfect and a great spot to hangout and relax. Would absolutely stay again at this property!

The location was great. Need some updates on the property but overall, great stay for the price. I love that the pool is not shared amongst other locations but it is rather on the smaller side.

Bonnie Dunes Rental

We stayed in both sides of this rental property. We were able to check in early which was a huge plus for us and our families. The fence around the pool was extremely wobbly and a lot of the beds were as well. The master bedroom toilet was constantly breaking/running but it was an easy fix on our part. Pool person had to come out and shock the pool during our stay, which left us not being able to use the pool for a few ours in the middle of the afternoon. Easy walk to the beach. Communication was amazing on part of the property, they were easy to get a hold of and responded promptly. For the price it is a great rental and was able to suit our needs as a large family of 20!

Good Location

Nice spot on the 2nd row from the beach. Short walk to Liquor Store, Fish Market, and Restaurant. Wish there was closer access to the public beach entrance, but honestly it wasnt that bad. Just a short walk. For the price its a great house and location for Gulf Shores.

Spring break family trip. The house was perfect for 2 family’s with lots of kids. Perfect location. I booked this house for 14 people. We had 12 towels total… the pictures of the house are misleading. Bedrooms are smaller and the back door doesn’t walk out to the pool.

The house was nice, the pool was great. Parking was very good! Very clean, would definitely stay here again. Cleaning crew was still cleaning at 4 when we checked in. Kitchen was stocked but not with enough stuff, we didn’t get the WiFi fixed until the day before we left even though we tried to communicate with the owner Brian numerous times, water heater was fixed promptly. Furniture was not very comfortable, the front bedrooms need better window coverings it was so bright in the mornings. Overall was a good experience!

Family Togetherness

This was our first whole family vacation in awhile. We had a great time. The property manager keeps you in the know via email and text. Which I found to be helpful. The property was clean and accommodated our family well. The property is across the street from the beach and a short walk to the beach. This property has a private pool in the backyard. You have to walk to the backyard to access the pool. You cannot access the pool from the inside of the house. If you have a family member with gait issues, this property has a lot of stairs. Overall, this property was nice. I would stay there again.

Affordable Duplex Just Off the Beach

Overall, we enjoyed using this duplex for our multi-family reunion. The location is just right in being close to Gulf Shores Pkwy, but far enough from the big beach crowds. The gathering spaces were big enough for us (16 total) to eat and hangout, and we loved the deck and pool spaces. We did have an AC unit go out on one side two nights in a row which wasn’t great in the July heat, but the property management/owner fixed it as fast as they could and were very responsive. Also refunded partial to make up for it. The inside could use some attention with repainting and broken floor tiles. The bed types per room doesn’t fully match the description or pics, but we made it work. All in all, it was an affordable house just off the beach with great property owner/management service, and lots of space to host our big family.

Great place in need of a little work.

Several issues. It should not be called pet friendly, or even pets allowed. As soon as my dogs got out of the car there paws were covered in sand spurs. We had to dig them out with tweezers. Dogs didn’t want to go out again. Two toilets requires multiple flush’s and many clogs. Old in poor repair ( im a master plumber ) One toilet tank cracked down the middle. We didn’t use it for fear of it breaking. Tiles cracked throughout the house. My grandson (3) and I were sitting on the step at the top of the entry stairs. He touches the stairs rung and it fell off leaving a hole big enough for him to fall thru. Air conditioning on one side quit working on second day. We didn’t call for service as the temperature outside was dropping and didn’t want to deal with it. It is a nice property but maintenance has been neglected. Maintenance obviously done by handy Andy. Not going back, expect more for what we paid.

16 guests - a place for everyone

Bonnie Dunes had exactly what we needed for all 16 of us. Bedrooms were very nice, bath for each bedroom, roomy living area and a great kitchen area. I will say that since our rental was larger and rates were higher, I think consideration should be given to get larger units cleaned first. This many people usually come at different times and an earlier check-in would be appreciated. We ended up last on the cleaning crews schedule and weren’t allowed access to the unit until later than 4:30. We had been told 3:30. This was even after we requested an earlier check in more than 24 hours before we came into town. We also offered to compensate for this earlier time - we were never contacted by the agency in reply to our request. The unit itself was very clean, but the grounds around the unit had trash, bldg materials, etc laying around. We did clean others trash up as the week progressed. It took away from the looks of the unit. We had trouble getting half of the unit cooled, the phone number on the agreement wasn’t answered, called the number to rent a unit and received a quick response. Unfortunately, the repair company wasn’t there until 10:30 pm. Both sides could use a broom, we ended up purchasing a broom to sweep sand. Bring a wagon of some sort as beach access is not as close as shown on the website. Rain came in front door and both balcony doors during a bad wind and rain storm (Barry). Oh, loved the covered area in front of the parking area. We made use of that every evening! With all that said, would rent this unit again!

Great for Hangout. About a 2 mile walk and sleeps plenty of people. We had both sides of the duplex which worked out great.

Everything we needed.

Check in was easy. Everything that was listed was there and functioning. Location was great property seemed very maintained. Some of the towels needed to be replaced (rusty stains). Recommend outdoor lighting around pool area. Would stay again.
