Welcome to our charming home in the heart of the North Beach neighborhood of Eastsound, WA, on Orcas Island. With breathtaking views and a perfect blend of comfort and nature, our residence invites you to unwind and embrace island life.

Just a short stroll from the village, and close to Moran State Park, Mount Constitution, and beautiful lakes and waterfalls, you'll have easy access to the island's best attractions. Whether you're exploring or simply relaxing, our home offers the ideal setting for a rejuvenating escape.

Step inside and enjoy the view from every level. The first floor offers a serene view of our lush garden, while the second and third floors open up to both the garden and sweeping vistas of the Salish Sea. Our deck is the perfect place to sip your favorite tea or indulge in a glass of wine while watching the sun dip below the horizon. If the weather warms up, the retractable awning provides a welcome shade, and you can enjoy the cool breeze with your favorite tunes playing softly on the Bluetooth speaker.

As the seasons change, our home transforms into a cozy haven. If you're lucky enough to experience a rainstorm, you can watch the weather roll in from the comfort of the woodfire, and perhaps even bake some treats in the fully equipped kitchen, filling the air with delicious scents. And should the weather turn unexpectedly wild, rest assured—our home is equipped with a generator, so you’ll never have to worry about losing power.

Whether you’re soaking up the views, enjoying the fresh air, or seeking shelter from a storm, our home promises a peaceful, inviting retreat that will leave you feeling refreshed and rejuvenated.
Please note, pets are not permitted, and the home is not suitable for small children or those who find many stairs challenging due to the layout. Firewood can be purchased at the local market and the Country Corner gas station.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Alder House. Kristen was a great host & the kitchen was well stocked. The views from the main level and the top floor were absolutely beautiful - especially during sunset. We would definitely stay here again.

We loved our stay at the Alder house - the deck was the perfect place to watch the sunset over the water and enjoy the lovely garden. We really enjoyed being able to walk to town and the beach. Beds were comfortable, kitchen had everything we needed, and everything was very clean. Highly recommend!!

We really enjoyed our stay! The view from the porch is AMAZING. The rooms were great, everything was clean. It was very quiet too which was relaxing. Deer came to the garden all the days we were there and it wasn’t far from things. The only bummer was the TV was very small and only one bedroom had another TV. But overall, we would stay here again!

We had a wonderful time at the North Beach Outlook! Plenty of room, loved the deck with ocean views. Beautiful sunsets. Comfortable beds. Prettiest house on the block! Flowers were beautiful. Felt right at home. Close to restaurants and every activity we planned from hiking at Moran State Park to Whale Watching in Rosairo. Loved it and would stay again.

You reached out twice before your stay—once to adjust your reservation (which I was happy to do immediately) and once with concerns about rain in the forecast. As a fellow PNW resident, you know how much our island needs summer rain, and my detailed guest guide includes many enjoyable rainy-day activities, which I also personally shared with you. For this reason, I was surprised by your 3/5 communication rating. As for location, the listing clearly states the home is in the North Beach area of Eastsound, a quiet, eclectic, and walkable neighborhood. While I cannot control the tide size of the public beach, nor how neighbors tend their yards, the water and sunset views remain beautiful and unobstructed. Our property itself is well cared for, with a thriving garden, and feedback from other guests reflects that. Regarding the BBQ, it is seasonal and appropriately sized so it can be stored indoors during the off-season to prevent rust. Had you shared any concerns during your stay, I would have happily addressed them immediately. While I regret your review didn’t align with the overwhelmingly positive feedback this home typically receives, I appreciate the opportunity to clarify for future guests.

I told the host we were arriving after dark, and she thoughtfully made sure to have some lights already turned on. The rooms were very clean and the neighborhood was quiet. The living and dining areas comfortably accommodated our party of 5 adults. GREAT deck off the living room with beautiful water views. We appreciated the well-stocked kitchen. Highly recommended!

We loved this property! It’s a quiet neighborhood yet you can still walk to town. Perfect place for our family of 4 adults. The deck has amazing views and nice furniture. The kitchen has everything you may need although we didn’t cook much. The master bedroom is huge and the bed and pillows are very comfortable. Our host was also so responsive and helpful in answering all of our questions. Would stay her again!
