Disliked: Location, listing accuracy
Blame enough to go around
Overall a poor rating because:*check in -- local host was waiting but lock box on the door (?) & got the impression she might be back during our stay to do towels or something (?)*cleanliness -- the smell of Lysol or some sanitizing spray was a bit overwhelming. Problematic when one of the guests has mild asthma.*accuracy of online listing -- no surprise, the photos are taken with a fisheye-type lens making spaces look larger.*location/neighborhood -- this one is on me, I should have been more careful about mapping the distance to sites we were going to during the week.*overall security on the home leaves a bit to be desired. Two sets of sliding glass doors; neither has any type of security bar or device to improve a sense of safety. Also, we were specifically told not to use one of the back doors on the house because sometimes it sets off an alarm (?).*secondary bedroom's closet was FULL of kiddie stuff - high chair, toys of various types for various ages - making the closet unusable for the person who was going to use that bedroom.**Between the kiddie stuff, the overly sanitized smell, alarmed back door, childproof gate on a space where one of the beds is -- maybe the location is used as a day care when not being rented?*overall feel on the interior -- very dim vs the photos, seems to be a manufactured home?We did not feel comfortable staying & after dinner that evening, left to stay at a local Holiday Inn Express.I do have some photos but no way to upload here.
