About the Guest House
The Guest House is located to the right of the main house on the property. The entire home is a two story structure but the Guest House is one story. The Guest House is a separate wing of the main house with it's own private deck, front door entrance, living room, bathroom and bedroom. It is completely private of the main house and is separated by walls and a locked door. When pulling into the property you will see a sign straight ahead on the driveway for "Guest House Parking Spot". Please park there, it is enough space for 2 vehicles. You'll take the river stone walking path to the right that leads to our front deck entrance.

About the Property
Small hills and slopes throughout the land on the property. Rocky and grassy turf, River rock walkways and medium to large rocks throughout the land. Medium to large boulders line the entry to the driveway. Creeks at the front, sides and back of the land and a river at the back of the property. There is a large open area of flat grassy land in the front yard if you are looking to walk your pet around where there are no boulders or hills. The river rock walkway to the guest house front deck entrance is not a smooth surface. It's as smooth as you can get with big flat river rocks but not perfectly smooth. Picture of the front walkway and other areas in the photo gallery of this listing.

Deerfield Treasure

My husband camped in the George Washington National Forest for many years until giving that up for health reasons. I found this sweet guest house, which was perfect for us and our dog Cookie. The decor is enchanting and the place was spotless. Michelle was friendly and welcoming, and she thought of special touches to make the visit a great experience. Although the kitchen facilities were limited, we used the mini-fridge and microwave to prepare a nice dinner that we ate at the cute kitchen table. We particularly enjoyed the deck. Most of all we appreciated that Michelle allowed Cookie to accompany us on what might be Jeff’s last visit to a place he loves.

I'm a southern woman from a lil south of New Orleans, Louisiana. I mix Creole seasonings, I always leave a little bottle of my famous seasoning mix for each of my guests to take with you as a gift. I raise chickens, children and pets. I teach Tai Chi and Qigong and have been in the martial arts industry since the early 1990's. I'm an artist! You'll see some of my art works in the Guest House and around the property. I love to be outside workin in the yard doing improvements, gardening, mowing the grass, creating glamping/camping spots for my Hipcamp platform, building stuff, taking care of the animals, etc. I like being a host and having my short term rental properties because I like creating an enjoying, relaxing vacation spot for people to come to. My goal is to create spaces for my guests that they can find peace and stress free environments to relax in. I put as many amenities as I can possibly think of into the spaces that I create for my guests.

Why they chose this property

I chose this neighborhood to buy my house in because I felt a sense of calmness and peacefulness here that I have not found before, so I knew that this was the place to be for me and my family!

What makes this property unique

I think that what makes this property unique is the beautiful views of the mountains, trees, rivers and creeks. Also the sense of peace and calm that the property offers. I purchased this land and home in late July 2024 and the yard/forest was overgrown
