2nd time staying and once again everything was excellent. Great hosts, nice area, zero problems! Made for a completely flawless worry free vacation! Will definitely book again
Manitoulin Island itself was pure pleasure. We very much enjoyed calling this location home for our stay. The pictures do not do this location justice. It is simply everything you need, in a great location for visiting all locations on the island. Thank you for sharing your vacation home.
Very nice cottage. We enjoyed our visit. The host provided everything to make our stay enjoyable. It was nice to be able to eat in the cottage and not have to buy at a restaurant. Would definitely stay here again if going to Manitoulin Island. Nice and centrally located.
This was the escape from Toronto I needed.I grew up in a rural environment so being mindful of waste and water consumption was not a big deal. The only thing I needed was air conditioning! My 15 year old overheats easily.I think he would have liked internet, but we really spent time exploring the island. The beach in Little Current is quiet and calm, and at night you can watch fireflies from the front porch of the cottage.
We had an excellent time during our stay. The location was good, the house was incredibly clean, and the host communicated quickly when needed.
We definitely recommend a stay here.
We made the trip to visit relatives on the island and to also show off the island to my significant other. The cottage provided what we needed in a great location. Would stay again in the future! Thank you!
Exceptionally clean. Comfortable beds.
Friendly host who answered any questions right away through messages.
If you need a getaway to just chill, this is it. You need to drive to get to island attractions but nothing is very far away.
The property was great for our family. We enjoyed the peacefulness of the cottage for evenings and mornings while we were there. The rest of time spent at various locations across the island.
Hiking adventure to Manitoulin Island led us to this cottage. It was perfect. A good location from all the places we wanted to see. It was exactly as described and exactly what we needed. Would definitely use it again if we went back. Bed was super comfy!
My husband, sister and i reserved this beautiful 3 bedroom unit. For the close approximety to the event.
This house was fablous. I would strongly recommed this place. And i will definetly stay herr again. Very clean and had everything we needed.
Just what we needed. A nice quiet place to relax and unwind. We come from Cambridge Ontario to see my hubby’s children. No need for us to site see as we come up every year. This was the second time staying at this beautiful cottage to relax. Looking forward to booking again in the future.
We chose this property based on my mother-in-law's recommendation after having stayed there herself. It is a great cottage in a convenient location on the island. It is very clean, comfortable and surrounded by trees. There's a large deck out front to enjoy the outside. Everything you need for your stay is there. I really like the open concept kitchen and living room. I had broken my leg a few days before our arrival and Sheryl was very accommodating about that. We will certainly recommend this cottage to anyone visiting the area.
Thank you Sheryl for the loan of your cottage. It was a lovely space to rest and relax. The beds were incredibly comfortable and the cottage was spotless upon arrival. Thank you for the suggestions of activities and local eateries. The fish and chips at Green Gables were outstanding! The location of the cottage was perfect for getting to and from local activities like Bridal Veil Falls, Little Current, Gore Bay and a variety of hiking trails. Just sorry I couldn’t hike the Cup and Saucer trail this visit (waiting for a hip), maybe next time and there will hopefully be a next time! Great cottage and host!
Property itself is very nice. Neighbourhood is quiet and friendly. You can walk to the small beach. No sand, so take your water-shoes. Water use in cottage is limited, so be alert when and where you use it. Instead of shower we went to the beach :). Biggest inconvenience was garbage, as you have to take it with you. We left cottage on Monday when garbage disposal site is closed :(. Overall we are happy with the stay :).
Nice short stay in this clean and comfortable cottage
Our family stayed for 2 nights at this cottage. I must say we were pleasantly surprised by how clean and nice it is. There are many details in the house that make it feel welcoming and comfortable. The mattresses are extremely comfy, the kitchen is well equipped, every room is nicely decorated, there are even some good movies on DVDs for you to enjoy.
It was easy to be in touch with the owner and the check-in was very simple. I would definitely come back.
The only inconvenience is that given that this is a rural property, not connected to the water/sewage system, it is necessary to be conservative with water use. That is something to take into account in case you really need to wash clothes often or do a lot of cooking.
We had a great time at this cottage. I booked due to its NE Manitoulin location for a rare photo even (partial solar eclipse at sunrise) and loved everything else about it.
When we first arrived, our ears took a few minutes to adjust to just how quite everything was...very different than suburban living.
The cottage was well supplied with everyday things that may have been forgotten at home.
Interior was very clean (and Covid-19 safe!).
I rated only 4-star for location as it is not directly on shore, and a slightly significant drive to the 'big' city of Little Current. Neighbourhood itself is very friendly with nearly everyone giving a wave as they pass by. (Just a few minutes drive away from 10-mile point lookout and store was a 'plus' for us.)
Would recommend to anyone looking for a cottage in this location.
