Perfect Family Vacation

This was the perfect home to host our family holiday. The home is beautifully appointed and the managers are very friendly and easy to work with. We would definitely stay here again!

The views!

Amazing!

Property layout was perfect! Great views of the ocean, amazing sunsets, enough rooms and bathrooms for nine of us. The pool, hot tub and lanai was perfect. It was amazing place to stay for two weeks. Just an fyi, it is an older home and some things could be fixed/updated but we would definitely come back and stay at this house if we end up back in Kona.

Great place for a family!

The Heavens is truly a fantastic home for a family vacation. The 10 of us spent an outstanding 2 weeks with plenty of room to spread out to accommodate our separate interests and a generous kitchen to prepare joint meals for sunset dining every night poolside. Great place! No surprises. Just as advertised. Excellent!

Two weeks of paradise

Perfect size for a family of 9. The swimming pool was awesome for our 3-year old granddaughter. The hot tub was great after doing some long grueling hikes on the island. Everyone enjoy the beautiful landscape and gorgeous sunset views. Bedrooms were spacious and comfortable, kitchen was clean, and the refrigerator was top of the line for keeping things cold in the humid/hot days. Our granddaughter loved the geckos. Everyone in our party agreed they would rent the house again. Thanks for a wonderful stay!!!!!!

Lovely home & great views. Upon entering the smell was musty but disappeared once the windows were open. Lots of room, comfy beds, kitchen stocked with cookware/dishes. Washer/dryer worked well. Showers are adequate, hot water in all faucets was very slow to arrive. We enjoyed the hot tub but the pool was ridiculously cold and never used. The coffee pot quit working on day 15 and the rental company quickly supplied us a new one the next morning.We expect more from a rental home at this price. Outdoor room with boogie boards, ping pong table and a bunch of other “junk” needs to be sorted and disposed of. The area is filthy and unwelcoming. Most items are broken and unusable. We did appreciate the use of a cooler.The home is in need of some TLC maintenance and a VERY THOROUGH cleaning throughout. Kitchen trashcans/counters/ceiling are dirty with dried food on them, dried toothpaste on the bathroom floor, bathroom floors are visibly dirty and need a thorough washing, velcro strips are missing from drapery and are held closed with binder clips, floor fans are covered in dust and dirt. Pulled a hot pad from the kitchen drawer and nearly puked as it was covered in hair! Each day we found some other issue that displeased us. Not sure we would stay here again due to lack of cleanliness and the extremely cold swimming pool that we couldn’t use. Again, in this luxury price range, we expect better and in any price range we expect clean.

Heavens Never Disappoints!

We have been to Heavens three times so far. We love the location of the property: close to the airport, the town and a short drive to our favorite beaches. The temperature at that altitude is always lovely. The house has all the amenities to please us and the many family members and friends that visit us there: a huge kitchen, private rooms, a wonderful pool and hot tub and spectacular sunsets. When we visit heavens we know our stay will be exemplary and we know that we can count on Kona Coast Vacations management team to handle any issues that might arise in a very timely fashion. We will always reccomend Heavens to anyone looking for an Hawaiian getaway for a large party.

Amazing

5 adults and 2 infants - this location was incredible - the view alone was worth every penny. The pool, the hot tub, everything was a dream. The washing machine wasn’t working, so I called the kona coast vacations and they sent someone to look at it. Still didn’t work so when I called again they ordered in a whole new washer and it came next day. Awesome customer service. The property was so close to the airport and Costco and lots of other shops. 3 very separate bedrooms all nicely kept (4th small bedroom) I went with a rental company for baby equipment, but they had so much at the house . They say they can’t guarantee baby equipment and beach stuff but it had multiple play pens, lots of beach toys, a small tabletop high chair . Would stay here again- awesome experience

Kona Heavens

3 bedroom/3 bathroom, outside pool, guesthouse with a room and it’s own bathrooms. Beautiful view from up top to see the rest of the town, it’s not as close to the ocean but you can see the ocean view. Coming up the driveway is a little steep and curvy, we brought our mom who will be 80, so with help she was able to make it up(good exercise if your up to walking up and down). There is parking space if you rent a car, turn around by the tree when you’ve almost reached the top. We are originally from a small village from Alaska so we were taken by the view and nature that surrounds us, the view from the kitchen or table next to the kitchen, kinda like our own little jungle cause where we live it’s flat with no trees or mountains. I tried to get everything, hope this helps. Thank you Kona heavens

Great Family Get-Away

Our family of 10 stayed at this beautiful home for 17 days. The staff were awesome and dealt with little issues immediately. The home is large, plenty of room for 10 to hang together or spend time apart. The kitchen had all the gadgets, cookware, and dishware we could use. The pool and grounds were large and well maintained with many places to sit and catch rays or gather to eat. There were many pool toys and some beach equipment as well to enjoy our many trips to the beach (although we bought some too). Our only complaint was that there were NO Dressers in 4 of the 5 bedrooms, so 8 of our family used little shelves in the closets, couches, or their suitcases to house their clothes during the stay. This may be fine for a few days, but was difficult for our 17 day stay. Except for one small bedroom all the other bedrooms are large with plenty of room for a dresser. That said, we would absolutely stay again at The Heavens in Kona.

Beautiful & Spacious, as advertised

This house was great for our 2 families, plenty of room and, as pretty frequent VRBO users, we appreciated that the kitchen was well appointed and there were beach umbrellas and chairs we could use. I gave the location 5-stars because it's exactly as advertised...so, not right on a beach or walking distance to restaurants or shops. But if you have a car, that stuff is not far, and you can head a few minutes north for sandy beaches, or a few minutes south for great snorkeling, or just 5 minutes to the bottom of the hill for green turtles in the cove or the amazing manta ray experience at the marina. We appreciated all the options the location put within 20-30 minutes of us and, after a day with lots of sunbathers, or reef fish, we had a quiet, luxurious home to come back to for family game night and horsing around in the pool. Find the local fish market and grill up something fresh and local and watch the sunset. I know I sound like a paid shill, but the good karma at this house just makes me want to pay it forward.

Heavens

The only issue we had was getting from the airport to the property. There were no taxes available and we waited for almost an hour to get a ride. The directions were useful…even the taxi driver didn’t know where it was. But when we arrived…the place had lights left on for us and fans running. We were exhausted flying from Ontario Canada. The house did not disappoint. The two rooms at the back of the house was very quiet and private. The kitchen was well supplied. The pool hadn’t been cleaned, so one phone call and it was looked after. The pool was on the cold side. Much colder then the last place we stayed. But we still swam. The view was beautiful. I would definitely recommend this property.

Awesome pleasant stay

We came home for a family wedding and decided on the 'Heavens' property. It was very homely, clean and spacious for our family. What a spectacular location the sunsets were wonderful and picturesque that we captured many a picture with the family. The convenience of an onsite pool was refreshing in the heat of the evening and enjoyed a nice comfortable relaxing hot tub. The openness of the rooms to the pool deck was inviting and friendly. We loved our 2wks stay in paradise. Home is always where our hearts will be.

A great 2 weeks

My family & my parents enjoyed ourselves in the Heavens property. It’s a great space with lots to see on the grounds. Fruit trees, birds, chickens that roam around and amazing views. The space of the house is awesome for a family of all boys to spread out or congregate together in the kitchen/dining area and outside by the pool. We added to the pool toy collection as well as a pack and play for infants for the house. We hope to visit again soon.

Heavens

This property easily handled our part of 9 ... and everyone was happy and enjoyed our stay. We had two small issues and the management company attended to those in very short order. The property is excellently situated to engage in any off site activities. Easy to get anywhere. The house is getting tired but will certainly not affect your stay. The grounds need a lot of attention and was a distraction. Overall, it could easily be a 5/5 except for the condition of the grounds.

Spectacular Sunsets

This is a lovely property, with a gorgeous big pool, actually hot hot tub, everything you could ever want for dishes, pots, etc. Lots of towels and linens. The most amazing sunsets every night. The yard is full of flowers and fruit trees. And geckos and chickens, but we enjoyed those as well!

Kona "Heaven"

Management company was so great and responsive. The house had been locked up for some time and the moldy smell was very strong but after a 2-3 days it aired out and it took care of itself. We had a great time and the home was large and spacious. A fresh coat of paint and a few updates would make this a perfect stay. Views are spectacular and the sunsets are out of this world.

This property is a Hawaiian golden property. She must have been a true luxury retreat in her day and is still a stunning property with views of the ocean and a neighbourhood that boasts mature landscapes. The pool and spa are magnificent and the house is very roomy. A good coat of paint and a light updating would be a welcome upgrade but the old Hawaii charm is not lost with this home. I would definitely recommend this home to friends and family !

Amenities such as toilet tissue and paper towel was inadequate.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was more than happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I feel that the house eave troughs require cleaning due to excess rain overflow entering the outside entrance doors and flooding flooring. Pool service was good but the solar heat for the pool was not satisfactory. The wild rooster population is out of hand in the area. Roosters crow continually from 1:30 AM and on into the daylight. This property is beautifull inside and out. We are from Saskatoon re below.
