BOOKING PROCESS Once we received your request to book, we will email you our rental agreement for an electronic signature. Once it has been filled out/signed by you and agreed to by us, we will then charge your credit card for the down-payment of 25% of the room rate and confirm your booking. No money will be held or charged from us until you filled out and signed our rental agreement.
CANCELLATION POLICY (PLEASE NOTE IT DIFFERS FROM VRBO) 25% of the room rate will be due upon reservation (once the rental agreement has been signed). The remaining balance will be due 30-60 days prior arrival (depending on the length of your stay). Once paid these amounts are non-refundable. You do have the option to purchase travel insurance. We will send all details once your booking is confirmed.
STEPS TO THE BEACH WITH ROOF DECK Our wonderful beach retreat "Pacific Sands #711" with stunning roof-deck is the upper of a two unit home. Located just one house off the ocean this house offers everything you possibly need for a comfortable and fun vacation by the beach.
Our Tangiers home is the perfect get-away for a group up to 8 people (5 adults max). These numbers include any potential day visitors. We do not differentiate between overnight guests and visitors.

ENTRANCE LEVEL You enter on the 2nd floor into a nice and bright open floor plan. The living room features a large LCD TV and spectacular views of the beach and boardwalk. You can people watch from the comfort of your couch. Off the living room is a master suite with king size bed, vaulted ceiling and private bathroom. Off of the newly remodeled kitchen is a full size washer/dryer, bathroom and second bedroom with bunk beds (full and twin).
TOP LEVEL Go up the stairs to the third bedroom which is also a master suite with a queen bed, couch and private bathroom, perfect for a couple looking for early morning views and late night stargazing. French doors open to very large deck, with table, chairs and BBQ. While it's beautiful to wake up to this incredible view, the deck is big enough to accommodate the whole group for a nice gathering to watch the sunset or enjoy a meal from the grill with an afternoon BBQ. With views stretching north to La Jolla, south to Point Loma and east over Mission Bay, this is the perfect place to enjoy watching a pod of dolphins, a beautiful ocean breeze and the Sea World fireworks show each night!
YOU WILL NOT MISS ANYTHING Enjoy the luxury of a nice big TV in living room and in one of the Master bedroom's, WiFi, ceiling fans, central air conditioning and heating, hairdryers, iron & ironing board. You will love the convenience of the keyless-code locks so you don't need to worry about keys.
KIDS EQUIPMENT To make your stay even more enjoyable, we have provided kid's equipment such as a pack n play, compact crib and a high chair.
BEACH EQUIPMENT For beach fun you can find nice beach towels, beach chairs and boogie boards.
SUPPLIES The house offers everything you might possibly need, including supplies such as: laundry, hand, dishwasher and dish soap, toilet paper, paper towels, kitchen sponge and of course all fresh, spotless and clean linens and bath towels. Please note we do not replenish supplies.
PARKING Roomy 2 car, side-by-side garage (large enough for a minivan, or large SUV, plus a small sedan. Garage size is 7' high; 18' deep; 15'9 wide.
LOCATION Our Tangiers Duplex is situated west of Strand Way, in the heart of North Mission Beach. The house is just steps to the boardwalk and the sand - there is no road or alley to cross. Walk out the front door and your feet will be in the sand within seconds. Being one house off the boardwalk allows for more privacy yet you are close enough to watch all beach activities and listen to the sound of the waves.
Hang out in the lap of comfort at Tangiers, or hit the town and enjoy the nearby: - Water-sports – SUP, kayaking and sailing on Sail Bay across the street; - Boogie boarding, surfing and sunsets just outside your door to the west; - Sunrise and quiet strolls around Mission Bay; - Coffee houses, shopping, restaurants, craft beer eateries, and nightlife are all a walk away; - Balboa Park and the San Diego Zoo are 15-20 away; - Sea World is a 5 minute drive and Belmont Park is one mile south; - Brilliant coastal hikes and tide-pooling are a few miles to the north and south; - There are miles of boardwalk for biking, running, walking and skating.
PLEASE NOTE Occupancy limit (incl. visitors) = 8 people (5 adults max) For friend groups ALL must be over 35 years old.
We absolutely do not want to rent to anyone that is intending to party at the house.
We have a NO smoking and NO pet policy.
Kindly understand that on rare occasions we might not be able to move forward if a time frame requested does not fit well in our calendar. In this instance we will ask you to shift your dates or offer you alternatives if available.

This is a great apartment with a lovely deck and view of the ocean. It was clean and well equipped with everything you need for a beach holiday. Great location, close to everything.
We had a wonderful stay! Short walk from beach and went surfing most days. Pleasant breakfasts on rooftop in the mornings. Great place and clean and excellent location.
This is a wonderful property with great ocean views and close to the beach. The house is well stocked. The three bedrooms and baths are well situated giving everyone privacy.
What a great house. Wonderful location and they have thought of every thing you need to enjoy the beach. Boogie boards, skim boards, beach chairs, an umbrella. House was very clean and all communication was easy.
There was plenty of room for our group of 7. The home was very clean and had everything we needed. It is within walking distance to everything. Added bonus was having a garage to park in. Beds were a little uncomfortable especially the master bedroom but didn’t make our stay any less wonderful.
We had an amazing family trip to Mission Beach.
We enjoyed the house so much. Just as advertised. Very comfortable, amazing to have a garage, and walks on the boardwalk by the beach was a highlight.

The location on Mission beach is perfect for walking up and down to both Mission Beach and Pacific Beach locations. Access to the beach couldn’t be easier. The beach chairs and umbrellas are a nice bonus. The kitchen, bedrooms, and bathrooms are well stocked with plenty of amenities.
The property and location were perfect. Everything we needed for 3 adults and 3 children. The amenities described are accurate, but there is so much more this property offers. Choosing this property enhanced our trip experience and we will definitely look to book here again.
This was our fifth visit to family in San Diego from upstate New York, and we all agree that 711 Tangiers is our favorite location and accommodation of the five places where we have stayed. The short stroll to the beach, the view and melodious ocean sounds from the 3rd floor deck, the parking, the cleanliness and provisions, the spaciousness, and the ease of access. All exceeded our expectations and we hope to return one day.
This property is as pictured. Fantastic ocean views. It was extremely clean and well stocked with all of your needs during your stay. Nicole and Pacific Sands were able to accommodate our request for an early check-in and maintained excellent communication from the moment we booked. Would definitely stay here if back in Mission Beach.
We met in San Diego for a weeklong family vacation. This house was the perfect place for us. We walked a lot, rented bikes and the kids swam in the ocean. We walked to great restaurants and playgrounds for the kids.
It was perfectly located for everything we wanted to do.
The place is set up with everything you may need for a vacation at the beach. Thank you for a great time!!

Great location and accommodation
We enjoyed our long weekend at this property. It is well maintained, with nice views of the beach. Great for friends or families. Walking distance to restaurants and shopping. Only complaint we had was an empty propane tank for the BBQ with no replacements handy as promised in the welcome guide. Nevertheless, we had a great stay. Recommended!

Joel, we are happy to hear that you enjoyed your stay so much. We DO provide propane replacement but I think what happened here is that the tank for the fire-table as well as the tank for the BBQ were running out at the same time and we only had one replacement available. We will make sure this is not going to happen again in the future and will provide 2 extra full tanks. We look forward to having you stay with us again in the future.
We embark on an annual "girl's trip" to visit San Diego every year to catch some sun, ride bicycles, drink wine, visit the amazing shops in the PB, MB, La Jolla areas and partake of the local flavor and great food. This spot was voted our favorite accommodations thus far - and we have been making this journey for 11 years!

The steps leading up to the condo don't meet the United Building Codes. It isn't safe for older adults. My older sister, who is 80, had us check the place out before she decided to go or not. We pictured and measured the steps and she didn't think she could safely go up or down.

Die Lage am Pazifik ist toll, man hat direkten Blick auf den Sonnenuntergang. Das Haus bietet alles, was man braucht, genügend Geschirr, Töpfe und Pfannen von guter Qualität. Die Nachbarschaft war ruhig. Der einzige Mangel war leider der BBQ-Grill, bei dem nur ein Brenner funktionierte, so dass wir auf das Grillen verzichten mussten, auf das wir uns sehr gefreut hatten. Sonst 5-Sterne
