Aloha! If you're looking for an authentic Hawaiian experience, stunning beaches, local eateries, and a peaceful atmosphere far from the Waikiki hustle and bustle, you've found it!

This one-bedroom, one-bath condo at Hawaiian Princess in Makaha, on Oahu’s beautiful Leeward Coast, offers breathtaking views of the beach, ocean, and sunsets right from your lanai.
The condo includes free parking, free Wi-Fi, and access to the building’s amenities, including a pool, hot tub, tennis, pickleball, BBQ, and ping pong table. Inside, you'll find a queen bed in the bedroom and a queen sofa bed in the living room. The fully equipped kitchen has everything you need, including a dishwasher, fridge, microwave, toaster, coffeemaker, air fryer, Instant Pot, blender, and more. We also provide linens, beach towels, chairs, mats, boogie boards, snorkeling gear, a beach umbrella, a cooler, and even binoculars for whale watching in season. The condo also has two TVs, ceiling fans, stand fans, and a washer/dryer for your convenience.

The building has a roof-mounted, water-cooled central Air Conditioning system. Please note, however, that it does not function like mainland AC systems and will not make the condo super cold. Most guests find the condo very comfortable with open windows, natural cross-ventilation, trade winds, ceiling fans, and stand fans, which keep the space fresh with tropical breezes. If you prefer super cool indoor temperatures, this may not be the condo for you.

The Princess Building is a smoke-free, pet-free property, and we have an on-duty security guard 24/7 for peace of mind.

Note that Waikiki and Honolulu are about an hour’s drive away and you may see homeless camps along the route. However, the Hawaiian Princess is a secure, gated building, and we encourage you to read reviews from others to make your own decision about staying on this side of the island.

For local dining, be sure to try Beachhouse 604, a guest favorite with oceanfront seating, and Spicy House in Maili, known for its excellent Thai food. Fine dining is just a short drive away in Ko'Olina and at Disney’s Aulani Resort. You’ll also find shopping and a water park in nearby Kapolei. Surf enthusiasts will love Makaha Surfing Beach, home to international competitions, just down the coast.

This is the ideal destination for those seeking a relaxing, laid-back vacation in a stunning setting, with the opportunity to witness marine life in its natural habitat, including turtles, dolphins, and whales (in season), while creating beautiful memories along the way!

Nice flat. We’ve stayed at several properties at Hawaiian Princess and this was the best. Would definitely try to stay again. Clean open layout. Well equipped kitchen. All good. Plus lots of whales and turtles. We like this part of Oahu. It’s not for everyone but if you are looking for a great stay in this area, this is a great option.

The host was welcoming and so helpful, especially giving tips of good places to visit. The condo was clean and we had beautiful views of the ocean. The sunset views were amazing! The condo was only minutes away from a military base where we got surfing lessons. This was a highlight for us. It was also so handy having a washing machine and dryer in the apartment. The condo was well equipped with kitchen supplies and beach supplies. We loved it. Thank you for allowing us to stay at your beautiful condo!

The only sad part was leaving. They have anything and everything you need for your stay. The beach area was amazing with phenomenal sunsets. We saw Sea Turtles every morning from the lanai. Very communicative throughout the whole process. We came to Hawaii for my 50th Birthday, they were even nice enough to leave me a birthday card. We would defintely stay here again for sure!

We loved our stay at this condo on the beach and didn't want to leave! I booked a last-minute trip to Oahu over the holidays with my daughters and had not heard of Makaha. What a lovely surprise to be overlooking this beautiful, not crowded beach. The condo itself was updated on the inside in the kitchen and bathroom, with modern appliances. The showstopper was the Lanai with bench seat overlooking the beach. The host was gracious in extending our stay by one day when our 2nd reservation at a different location was canceled on us. We enjoyed playing in the waves just below the condo (right amount of excitement, without feeling dangerous) and exploring this part of the island, especially hiking Ka'ena Point Trail (further up West shore). If you want to get away from the crowds in Waikiki and the man-made lagoons of Ko Olina, I highly recommend this location and this condo.

Nice condo on an uncrowded beach.

Comfortable condo, had everything we needed, clean, well stocked. The neighborhood isn’t the best, but the property is gated and the staff is welcoming and helpful.

As others have stated you do see many homeless camps along the way. However we never felt unsafe at the property. They have great controlled access to the gate, the elevator and the beach access. We rarely saw more than a few people at the beach, no crowds, great views! When the sun is setting you do need to close the curtains though because that sun is bright! But we would definitely return.

True Retreat

The unit was well maintained and very well stocked for a delightful 8 days in the sun. The view of Papaoneone Beach lifted our spirits from morning until that magnificent sunset at night.

The host’s communication throughout the entire process was excellent. The home was thoughtfully stocked with everything we could possibly need. We absolutely loved this place! The beach is semi private and amazing! We snorkeled and swam. There are turtles constantly swimming around. The views are stunning. The amenities were great. Beach chairs, snorkels, plenty of towels. My girls loved the place as well. We definitely will he back!

Relaxing stay

Great Location beautiful view

We stayed 3 nights prior to our cruise leaving from Honolulu. Very pleased with the amenities and condo was comfortable and clean. Would stay again. Location was away from the traffic and crowds, which is what we wanted.

Paradise on your own private beach.

Away from all the hustle and bustle and stress of downtown. Still conveniently located to all the major attractions on Oahu. Beautiful sunsets every night on our own beach. The condo is very comfortable and is as appears in the photos. This was a trip for our anniversary and my wife’s birthday. Our host left us separate cards to celebrate each occasion. Very thoughtful.

Spring Break

Another great stay at Hawaiian Princess! This was our first time in this unit, and it was wonderful. The beach chairs, towels, and snorkeling gear were much appreciated. We love this part of the island and will be putting this unit at the top of our list for our next trip to Makaha.

Private Beach

The condo was very clean and had many amenities. The host was very responsive and accommodating. We enjoyed the quiet location over looking the ocean and the private beach was beautiful. The location was a bit far away from activities and restaurants but if you don't mind being away from it all - this is the place for you! Thank you for all the extras! A view to die for

The lanai gives a 180 view of your semi private beach. We saw turtles daily as well as whales . Room was well stocked.

our unit was very clean and had a fabulous view of the beach. We have always stayed at resorts when we vacation so this took some getting used to regarding amenities right on the property. We knew that going in so it’s not a complaint. It’s just what it is. The waves can be very scary in front of the building so please pay attention and be safe. We met some very nice people and really enjoyed the restaurant 604 Beach House. I can’t put into words my appreciation for there being a washer and dryer in the unit. It made a world of difference. I would recommend this property to others. It’s got a very laid-back feel to it, which is what we wanted.do not pass up the opportunity early in your stay to go to the historic town at the coast and eat at Jenny‘s shrimp truck. We went a couple of times and rolled our eyes every time we took a bite of the garlic shrimp.

Peace and happiness

This place was off the normal area we had been used to. No big waikiki crowds or beachs with no room to move. This place offered the good sized condo with an amazing view along with supplies for your every need at a fair price. My familly and I enjoyed what this stay had to offer.
