About this property

Beautiful, custom 4 bedroom beachfront home on Sunlight Beach, Useless Bay.

Please be our guest at Artisan Beach Home on Sunlight Beach. Our home has elegant touches throughout and best of all, when you step out the back door you are right on the beach! Enjoy life at the beach, the beauty of the water, wildlife and boats and ships as they pass by.

Located right on Sunlight Beach on Useless Bay, just about everything on the south end is within a 10 minute drive.

The house has 3 levels. You enter at the street level which has a large bedroom with king bed and 2 twins (partially separated with dresser, but all one room), a living area with kitchenette (fridge, coffee pot, counter) and dining table. There is a bathroom with a shower. This level has direct access to the garage which is where laundry is. The 2nd, or main level, is a flight of stairs up. This floor has an open kitchen/dining/living area with a wall of windows looking out on the beach. There is beautiful custom cabinetry throughout the main floor. A few steps down from the living area, brings you to 2 of the bedrooms - 1 king bed (TV in this room) and 1 queen bed. There is a full bath with shower/tub combo and a powder room in between the 2 bedrooms. The top floor is a flight up from the kitchen area and has our 4th bedroom which was just added for July 2024 (it was an open loft area prior). The door to the deck, yard and beach is just off of the kitchen. We have outdoor lounge and dining seating. A gas grill on the deck, a gourmet kitchen with a full array of pots & pans, serving dishes, kids dishes, and great eating out options, will mean you are sure to enjoy every meal here!

We can accommodate up to 10 guests total with a maximum of 8 adults.

Close proximity to Seattle, Port Townsend, Anacortes, and the San Juan Islands should you want to take a day trip somewhere. Deception Pass, the most visited State park in all of Washington, is at the north end of the island, just over a 1 hour drive. Great shopping, parks, hikes, and local attractions, may keep you right here on the south end; even if you come for a week or two!

This is a high end, quality custom built home, with hardwood and slate floors, beautiful wood cabinetry and lovely art and décor throughout!

A beautiful spacious beachfront property, great location close to grocery store, playground, Langley. Our grandkids enjoyed playing at the beach during the day and we enjoyed relaxing, sipping wine at the porch watching the sunset and the stars. It had a fully equipped kitchen, two fridges and a grill. Highly recommended.

Peaceful waterfront stay

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, only wishing we had more time. The house is designed to maximize the gorgeous waterfront views, especially when the weather is beautiful. The neighborhood is quiet and friendly, but Langley is just a short drive away for shopping or dining. We had a minor issue with the house, and the property manager was very responsive!

We loved our stay here - the view is amazing. We were happy to find that the kitchen was well stocked and loved the layout. The lower area is perfect for families with smaller children because it is separated from the rest of the home. We had a great time and plan to return!

Perfect getaway for a large group

This beach house is the perfect getaway—just minutes from Langley and the ferry, and right on the beach. The home is beautifully appointed, with comfortable beds and everything we needed for a relaxing stay. Communication with the host was quick and easy. Highly recommend!

A great escape

The house was lovely and provided great accommodations for four friends. The living area was very comfortable and kitchen well stocked. The view was spectacular both at high and low tides. The management was easy to communicate with and very accommodating.

We had a wonderful getaway at Sunlight beach! The house was fantastic and that view is beautiful!

We would return tomorrow. The rental was perfect and the eagles & herons we watched all day made our visit.

Spectacular Spot

What we loved about this home was even though it is a large home, it felt cozy and inviting. We were a group of five women and were able to all have our own bedrooms. The living room, dining area and kitchen are all open to each other which made for ease of all being together while we prepared meals. We spent most of our afternoons on the deck around the table and the beach out front. Can’t beat the southern exposure and sunsets.

Great location

So central to all that we love on Whidbey. Kitchen was very well equipped and beds comfy. Lots of stairs, so be mindful if staying with elderly or small kids. Great communication with property manager.

A quiet and cozy retreat! The house is very well stocked, clean and spacious! It is a bit too cold and rainy this time of the year, would recommend visiting in summer to fully enjoy the beach.

Great home for a group

The house is very nice and stocked better than others we have stayed at over the years. Very nicely furnished as well. Loved the beach during low tides. Tons of sand dollars, etc. Would most definitely recommend this rental, and would go back in a heart beat! 😊

Great place to relax and spend time together

Beautiful home right on the beach. Well cared for and nice touches. Plenty of room for our family to congregate together and still have room to have our "own space". Even in the rain it's a gorgeous view and welcoming location. We hope to be back!

The house is right on the Sunlight Beach which sits on Useless Bay. One of the most enjoyable features of this beach is the expansive tide flats that you can explore.
