About this property

The Dawdi Haus- A Spacious Amish Grandparents Home Completely Updated

This home is located on 2 acres in Ohio Amish country. We are fully stocked for 12-14 people including all linens and towels. We do charge a $5 per person charge per day for parties over 6. Water for drinking and cooking is provided through a water softener as well as a drinking water filtration system due to having well wCameroon. just installed a whole jouse filtration system as well in March 2025. There are always snacks, coffee, teas, and hot chocolate available. Laundry available with supplies and a game room for everyone. Sit on the patio by the fire pit (wood and outside chairs included) while you watch the Amish buggies clip clop by. Lots to do and see in the area. We have four bedrooms that include a queen bedroom on the first floor, a futon in the den on the first floor, a double bedroom and two twins in a bedroom on the second floor , and a set of bunks, two singles, and a futon on the lower level. We also have two full baths on the first floor. If you have horses - they are welcome as well.

It was a very nice place to stay for the weekend. There are some small issues at the home. But overall a very nice place. The host is excellent They provide pretty much anything you could need other food and clothing. The host was very accommodating with letting us in just a touch early which helped out alotAs far as price. Excellent. Especially for what they accommodate you with. You will never find a hotel for this price point and with beds so comfy.. I honestly wanted to take the mattress home with us. I would highly recommend staying here.

Our weekend at the Dawdi Haus was an excellent experience! The house was exactly as it was described. Every comfort from home was provided for us if we needed it and communication with the owner was fabulous!We will definitely be back for our next visit to Kidron!

This was our third stay at this property - we find it to be perfect for us. It’s spacious and cozy. I compare it to spending time at a favorite Aunt’s or Grandmother’s house. The location is perfect too. I’m quite sure we’ll be back next year.

This was a 5 star PLUS. It was the most coziest and family friendly house to stay at. I would definitely recommend this to everyone I know and it will be on spring/summer list when we come back up to Amish country. We all LOVED the coffee and tea bar which I should took a picture of

We found the house to be well stocked and very comfortable.

Our group of Quilting friends enjoyed staying at the house. Its proximity to fabric stores, places to eat and other shops made it a perfect location for our visit to Amish country in Ohio.

Lovely for Groups

We reserved this property for our wedding party to stay at and it was a lovely choice! The rambling house had plenty of sleeping space for our guests, as well as nice community area in the spacious kitchen and living room. Overall, we were very impressed.

Our girls yearly trip

This is our 3rd time staying at this house. It is very spacious and in a nice location outside of town. We like to have camp fires and sit outside so this place is perfect. It is very well kept stocked with things. We always enjoy staying here.
