About this property

Studio in Uptown New Orleans; private entrance, no shared space, parking,pets ok

This is a small, entirely separate studio unit in my home. There is no shared space. Includes a private, separate entrance; driveway parking; desk and table; and pets are welcome. Regularly booked by solo travelers, couples visiting for the weekend, and guests who want to bring their dog along.

All usual amenities included: Wifi, linens, mini fridge, tv, coffee maker, hairdryer, separate mini split for ac/heat, microwave. Quiet, diverse neighborhood. Ten minute walk to the St. Charles streetcar, 10-15 minute ride to downtown/quarter. Maximum two people.

No additional guests. Guests expected to be good pet owners.

The property was great; very accurate listing. It’s an extended wing of the owner’s house, but with its own separate entrance which is gated off from the street for added privacy. Comfortable and clean, and only a few blocks from the retail district on Freret. Also close to a big shopping center on Claiborne, and easy access to the highway. I would absolutely stay here again.

I love the back yard: it was so pretty. Having a private entrance was nice too, especially with my ESA. The property was centrally located to everywhere I wanted to go. I really appreciated being able to park in the driveway… that was a real treat!

Check in was seamless. The room was very clean. Host was responsive. I absolutely loved having my own parking spot that was included. The room would serve better as a weekend retreat, not a week retreat. A larger refrigerator and newer microwave and coffee maker set secure in a cabinet nook would be a suggested upgrade. Internet was inconsistent and weak. Host texted, “Hey there will be some workers at the house in the morning just FYI if you see anyone in the backyard. I don’t think they will be back there but just in case.” The next 1 1/2 days had nonstop banging because a new roof was installed. The banging was so loud, it would make me jump, and a picture fell off the wall. This was my annual vacation. It would have been most appreciated for the host to have postponed the new roof for a week.
