Everything was perfect. Recommend arriving during daylight hours as the roads & signs can be hard to see at night. Excellent remote cabin, which is what we wanted!
A cute little cabin out in the forest near Sequoia park. LOTS of privacy and the cabin has tons of charm (the interior walls are logs). Many windows to let in light and to look out onto the landscape (a wild turkey walked by after dinner.) Note that this place is completely off the grid - no internet, TV, or cell signal. Also no stores or restaurants (nearest provisions are up in the park.) There is a landline if you need to make calls. The cabin is stocked with a billion games and DVD's so you won't be bored. Kimberly was an incredible host; very communicative and apparently loves hosting guests (note: she lives off property but did come by after we arrived to welcome us.)
The cabin felt super cozy, my wife and I loved every minute of of our stay. Kimberli was also super helpful with everything from our dogs staying with us to making sure we made it there safe! Overall 10/10 experience.
Locating the property was difficult. No clear direction. No bedrooms with privacy. A typical bedroom has a door, a closet, a dresser and nightstands. None at this property. One bed in the living room. One at the entrance next to washer and dryer. One bed upstairs with no door. Large animals were rooming around at night- not said so on the description. However, the surrounding of the cabin was great. All nature with trees and wildlife. We loved that! The kitchen was fully stuffed. Plenty of bedsheets and towels. Just perfect!Overall, our stay was ok. But not worth the price.
The host was very caring, she called to make sure we found the cabin and made it safely. Communication with her was excellent. The cabin was immaculate, warm, and inviting. We enjoyed our stay:)
Amazingly cozy cabin away from the crowds. Was perfect for our break from the city. A very enjoyable drive up to the property and was easy to find. We felt at home as soon as we walked in the door. The lack of cell reception offered a much needed break from the hustle and bustle of life. Whether reading a book by the fire or grilling out on the deck this property made our weekend getaway unforgettable. The owner was very friendly, communicative, and maccommodating. We will be returning
The vacation was absolutely incredible. The cabin was exceptional. The hosts were out of this world.I would highly recommend anyone and everyone visiting Sequoia National Park looking for the cabin this is it.
We enjoyed our stay here. The cabin was clean and had all the basic amenities. The bed was comfortable and the outside deck was a perfect spot the have breakfast or a cup of tea in the afternoon. We really enjoyed watching all the birds that were flying around the cabin. We also appreciated it's close proximity to Kings Canyon NP. With its open floor plan, this cabin is better suited for a single family and was perfect for the two of us.
This properties proximity to Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks while providing a break from the crowds can't be beat! Appreciated the owner's proactive communication to provide directions.
This was a quiet beautiful cabin which is tastefully decorated and very peaceful. We enjoyed our stay here ans would highly recommend it.

Rustic accommodation. The single thermostat heat source struggled to keeps some areas comfortable.

I am sorry about the heater. There is a woodstove that you could have used and the Ceiling fan also works to push the heat from the ceiling down. I wish you had called me. I would have drove over and brought you more firewood.
Quiet and remote setting in the Sierra foothills close to Kings Canyon National Park. Very comfy and homey cabin with a very responsive hostess. Fully stocked with all of the essentials. Beware - no wifi. If you must be constantly on line, probably not the best selection for you.
It was so lovely staying at this cabin. Kimberli was very communicative and was ready to help whenever we needed. There were tons of movies and games to play so we never felt bored. It felt very homey staying here.
Fun stay with convenient access to sequoia/kings canyon. Host made sure we had everything we needed. Be careful initially pulling into driveway off the road if you don’t have high clearance - the rest of the driveway is fine.
Long afternoon naps in the trees, animal watching, apple picking and the most amazing park in nearby King's Canyon. This entire mountain is a true cathedral and this idyllic cabin in the woods is a true gem. The host was wonderful about checking in and we strongly suggest you consider this beautiful property.
This cabin was built in 1956 by William, where he lived till he passed away, I am now the property owner and would love to see it enjoyed by those that are looking to escape the city and get back to nature, a place to unplug and reconnect with your spirit, kids and heart.
Why they chose this property
I am most at home in the mountains and have lived here 37 years. The Pinehurst area provides the mountain environment while being reasonably close to the cities of Visalia and Fresno. This particular property is nestled amongst the, cedars, and oaks and is right off the main road to Kings Canyon. Wildlife is attracted to the creek which flows seasonally through the property.
What makes this property unique
Peace, quiet, and seclusion, opportunities for walking, birding, horseback riding, and nature study. Artists (writers, painters, musician and composers) will enjoy the opportunity for introspection. Close to Dunlap (archery center) parasailing and hang gliding (Dunlap flight park) General Grant Grove of Giant Sequoias, and Giant Sequoia National Monument. I think it is so important to us to get away and just unplug play. Games and puzzles or at the cabin for guest to enjoy. I also allow well behaved pet's $25.00 to $35.00 dollars per pet per night pet need to be house broken and well behaved, pets are not to be lift in the cabin when guest leave, if you don't want to take your pet on your outing, you can leave them in the kennel that I have provided for them.
