Villa Carolyna is a beautiful villa with four levels, and four large bedroom suites with adjoining baths and patios all on separate levels. There is an additional optional 5th bedroom/caretaker's suite available which is ideal for children.

The villa is equipped with an elevator and ramp access to the master bedroom suite and the main dining and community pool, sunbathing, and entertainment areas.

Wind your way to the heights of Orofino in Chacala, Riviera Nayarit. Here you will enjoy breathtaking views and panoramic vistas as well as the seclusion of your private and majestic villa with its gated entrance and luxurious setting. The villa is within minutes of the fishing village of Chacala with its gentle sand beach and several beach side restaurants.

You will be thrilled to have all of the luxuries of the modern world. Your four-bedroom suite villa comes equipped with a maid, full kitchen and beautiful furnishings.

The huge rooms open to terraces and share the spectacular views of the bay and the lush tropical setting. The large bedrooms have adjoining open-air bathrooms, each compete for the world's most gorgeous view. Three bedrooms have one king size bed, and the fourth has two twin size beds,plus two extras in the same bedroom, The den also has a pullout twin size bed.

Wonderful vacation home away from the busy beaches

We loved our stay at Villa Carolyna. It was a gorgeous home built by true craftsman. Felipe, who runs the property, was an attentive and responsive host. We would love to come again!

Gorgeous place

This was a perfect place for our family Christmas. The views of the ocean, whales, birds, and sunsets were amazing. Fidel could not have been more helpful!

Beautiful villa for our family vacation!

We chose Chacala because of the anchorage- so my son and wife could sail their 41’CheoyLee - to meet the rest of the family for our vacation. Now we all fell in love with the charming village, and absolutely loved the Villa. It’s a little slice of heaven!!

Perfect for our family reunion

This house was perfect for our family reunion of 10 people. Maggie and Felippe took good care of us. I especially appreciated the ramps as I have had a double knee replacement. We were glad we had rented cars in PV, as walking to the town of Chacala and the beach would have been too far for us. The Chacala beach, town, and restaurants were great. We wanted our grandchildren to experience a REAL Mexican town, eat Mexican food, and hear Spanish spoken. The beach was crowded, as it was during the holidays, but I loved watching Mexican intergenerational families enjoying the beach. The beach was kept clean, even with all of the beach goers. We truly enjoyed our stay. Thank you.

Best vacation ever.

Villa Carolyna was just beautiful in every aspect. Very warm and accommodating and also decorated to suit all. the staff was very accommodating and pleasant. Cannot wait to come back and will tell my friends about it. Jerry, the owner is the best and added greatly to our entire experience.

Simply the best place we ever stayed!

Between the house, the views, the scenery, the sunsets, the grounds, the pool, the privacy, the birds, the food, the flora (not to mention the incredibly skilled people who care for the villa and its guests), this is an absolutely wonderful place to relax and read and think and even work in isolation. Our group of seven has already decided (to quote Schwarzenegger), WE'LL BE BACK.

Cliff side retreat

We just spent a week on a family reunion at villa Carolyn's. 7 adults in 4 bedrooms. It was the perfect way to be together but give each couple or person space. Hard to imagine getting tired of looking out at the sea, floating in the pool, with birds soaring and the bay below. But if so there is hiking, a lovely beach, boating, and maybe more we did not discover. Maggie, the lovely and capable housekeeper, discreetly made sure we had everything we needed. We had meals delivered from local restaurants--including the best snapper anyone had ever had. No one in our party was the least bit ill, thanks to purified water throughout house. Quiet and beautiful. We will be back!!

Simply Amazing

This place is perfect for anyone who wants to relax. The village is small and peaceful so you can stay at the beautiful house all day or take the jeep to the beach/town. I also enjoyed walking to and from the beach and around the property. The staff were very helpful and polite, and had great English! I would recommend this to anyone, families, girl's trips, family vacations etc. Can't wait to go back!

Four Seasons Resort Quality with the privacy and VIEW that is unbelieveable!

We started our vacation in Sayulita for a family reunion and stayed in a very big/ nice house there. We had a few extra days and decided to check out Chacala for the surfing. This place is amazing and so much better than Sayulita's house!!! We have stayed in VBRO/ Airbnb's all over the world-- and this may be the nicest one yet. Immaculately clean and well cared for, views that don't stop, tons of space and all around wonderful living. We were a single family, but it could easily host 2 families. Filipe and Maggie take amazing care of the place (and make sure that Maggie cooks for you-- Maggie's cooking and the spectacular view from the dining room, really can't be beat.) It is a hike to the beach-- 15 mins down, 20 mins up or 8 min drive to town-- which means that you need to plan your trips to the beach but the villa is so nice, we ended up staying there much more so than we normally would. Living room is spectacular-- great place to read, play games or have drinks. We didn't eat in town but preferred to cook at villa-- much nicer. Surfing was great-- rented a panga at the marina-- and my husband and boys surfed for 2-3 hours every morning at a good left break with only 3-4 other surfers.

Paradise Found!

Villa Carolyna is located off the beaten path but has every amenity. Incredible cliff top views overlooking the ocean. Spectacular sunsets sitting in the pool. A 5 min ride or 10min walk to the beach. The home is spacious with large indoor/outdoor kitchen, dining and living areas and well separated rooms with large beds and nice bathrooms. The WiFi works great and there aren't issues with electricity, plumbing, hot water, etc. The town of Chacala is a great get away. Good restaurants with friendly staff but almost no foreigners. And the beach is long, wide and clean with a sandy bottom that stretches out into the water. The moderate surf is fun to play in but the bay is still calm for swimming and floating. When you have had enough of the town you can quickly return to your retreat where you can relax by the pool and observe everything happening from above. There are even chef services for dinner at home. If you want more action or surfing, Sayulita is just a 40min away. It's a magical place.

Phenominal Trip!!!!

We spent a long weekend with friends at Villa Carolyna and had an absolute blast. The views are outstanding, the accommodations are very spacious and the service was top notch. The beach nearby is gorgeous and was never crowded and there are several great nearby restaurants. I would highly recommend Villa Carolyna to anyone looking for a more authentic Mexican vacation.

Paradise on the Cliff

My family and I spent an amazing week at Villa Carolyna over the holidays. To quote my husband, we felt like a cartel family perched on the hill in our lavish compound. It was quite an experience! From making the initial reservations with Catherine (who was very helpful and friendly) to the airport drop off service by Felipe, we experienced top notch service that convinced us all to come back soon. Our group was comprised of six adults and three children and the house was so spacious that we had plenty of room to hang out together or have our own space. The building itself is a work of art. There are so many interesting construction aspects to admire. The neighborhood was lovely and the views from the house were amazing; the common areas, the infinity pool and each room looked out over the ocean. It was fun to watch the sunsets from a variety of porches. We also had epic games of hide and seek on the spacious grounds. We really enjoyed picking up groceries in town and then cooking at home. The kitchen had everything we needed to create great meals. One night Maggie cooked flautas for my niece's birthday dinner. They were delicious and we were shocked by how affordable Maggie's magnificent services were. As mentioned in previous reviews, both Maggie and Felipe were outstanding. They were so friendly and helpful. They anticipated our needs and spoiled us. We loved everything about this incredible house. It was very difficult to leave! It truly had to be seen in person; words can't describe what a special place it is.

Heaven in Mexico

We spent a week at Villa Carolyna with friends and their kids. If we weren't in the pool at the house we were down at the beach in the waves ! All the bedrooms were private, beautifully decorated and very peaceful. We never missed a sunset over the ocean while having dinner out on the patio by the pool. Maggie & Felipe were awesome ! You will be amazed at this beautiful property and feel totally at home.

Wonderful stay at Villa Carolyna!

Villa Carolyna is a beautiful home in the hills above Chacala! 6 adults and 5 children had plenty of room in the comfortable bedrooms with amazing views of the ocean and private decks. Truly beautiful views from every room in the home, and from all of the terraces. The pictures on line are very nice but when you get there - it is stunning! Maggie and Felipe took great care of us and were happy to make any arrangements for us - like a boat ride to a 'hidden beach', restaurant reservations, transportation, delicious meals prepared! Playa Chacala has the perfect amount of surf to enjoy. We had lunch and margaritas at Chac Mool on the beach - good times! When we were at the Villa - home sweet home while in Chacala! - the pool was awesome for kids and adults to cool off and play.Great fishing, walks to the volcano, enjoying watching the birds and hearing the sounds of the jungle. Thank you!

We woke up in paradise!

We arrived at night for a one week stay at Villa Carolina. The next morning my wife said "we woke up in paradise!" This is a spectacular house in a breathtaking location. We were very fortunate to spend a little time with the owner and more time with the wonderful neighbors. The house manager and housekeeper made the stay so enjoyable. The short hike to the beach and to the volcano added to the adventure. You will not be disappointed!

family vacation

We had an amazing stay at Villa Carolyna. It was more remote than we anticipated, with Puerto Vallarta being more than 2 hours away by boat. I was initially concerned that my teenage children and adult nieces and nephews might get bored, but I was mistaken! Who would want to leave this beautiful home with the friendly maid and house manager, let alone the friendly village of Chacala walking distance away. The home is accessible with an elevator and ramps as needed for wheelchair access. I will definitely return.

Awesome Experience

We looked forward with great anticipation to visiting Villa Carolyna based on photos and when we arrived we were amazed because the photos under state the real beauty. The architecture of the villa and natural beauty is breathtaking. The local cafes, and beach are fun to visit. We enjoyed Chac Mool for beach food. For more touristy activities Salulita is a short drive away. Felipe, the house manager, and Maggie the housekeeper we so helpful They really made our family trip a success. They helped with transportation and with preparing some delicious meals. They were ready to help with any request.

First timers in Chacala

First off; we were met at the airport by an accommodating and gracious host (the caretaker of the property). What can normally be a stressful point in the trip after international flight, customs, and baggage became much easier with the Villa Carolyna staff. They made sure we felt comfortable in their care. Then, upon arriving at the villa I don't think any of us were prepared for how truly beautiful the house and view were even though the pictures are beautiful. I could go on and on about the house, the flowers, the beautiful mornings sitting with coffee looking at the ocean...Most important, though, is to mention the staff. We had amazing people who helped make our stay so comfortable and luxurious. We only stayed one week in this house and then moved to another in a different town. I could have stayed at this one even longer.

A Luxury Retreat!

We had an incredible week at this property. It was perfect for our 3 families and the multiple levels allowed for added privacy. The views were incredible and every room had it's own deck. it was wonderful to fall asleep to the sound of crashing waves and tropical breezes! The kids absolutely loved the pool! The staff was wonderful to work with and Felipe met out every need. We were treated like royalty and can't wait to return. Thank you for making our trip to Mexico perfect!
