Vacation for family of four plus Nana

Perfect! The property was better than we were expecting. Lots of room for alone time and together time, and a short walk to the grocery store, beach, rental car pick-up (Avis), shopping and dining, as well as popular pick-up locations by excursions companies (big hotels). Manager was welcoming, gracious, and quick to respond. Cleaning was done regularly, which we were not expecting, and thoroughly by a lovely person. We could not have been happier!

Penthouse Beachhouse Review

Good location. Great property staff and cleaning staff. The property is too large for the cleaning staff (one person - Teresa needs help). My wife and I did cleaning around the kitchen and dishes upon our arrival. The property is dated and requires an immediate renovation. Towels and linens need replacement - very worn. There was a tap water supply issues early on. Those issues did get resolved. Previous repairs are very noticeable. No exterior security door/barrier was an issue for my wife. Had to bring additional security measures. This property is located in prime location. Great access to beach and 5th Avenue. Again, the property requires a major renovation.

We're sorry to hear that you felt our Penthouse did not meet your expectations in terms of room and towels/linens. We understand the importance of providing a comfortable and updated environment for our guests, and we appreciate your feedback regarding areas where improvements are needed. So please let me inform about some of the updates done during the last year in the Penthouse. The third bedroom we changed all furniture’s. New painted in the jacuzzi area it's done every year. All ceiling fans changed to never model with remote-control. Washing machine and dryer changed to new modern LG that takes 22 kg each Regarding the security there is a night guard at Las Olas from 6 pm to 8 am. We also rent out the Penthouse at AIRBNB and there we are scored 5 of 5 from 23 Mars 2024 and one year back in the time and there was 21 reviews totaly with 5 stars and no one mentioned that we need to do renovation. We hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back in the future and provide you with an improved experience. Warm regards, Myrna

Great location!

We had a great time staying at this location in Playa del Carmen! It was a block from the beach and there were shops and restaurants all around that we easily walked to. I liked that they had a security guard stand out front at nights too. The condo itself was very nice and we loved relaxing on the different balconies. There are two rooftop clubs next to it so it was nice to listen to the music while lounging up there. The only issues we encountered were the water pressure in the upstairs bathroom the shower would start to run and then it started coming out less and less when my friend would shower and it would take about 15-20min for the toilet to refill after flushing and the water in the bathroom downstairs that’s connected to the bedroom with the two beds would only come out cold. Beware of the ac, you can only use a certain amount of electric per day or you’ll be charged extra. We were charged an extra $117 but didn’t mind paying it because it’s so hot we needed the ac on all day but it was a little strange we haven’t had this issue staying at other locations before.

Perfect location in Playa if you need 3 bedrooms!

Overall, we really enjoyed our stay. The condo is in a great location--steps from the beach and 5th Ave. We felt very safe and comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed for cooking occasional meals and there were multiple grocery stores under a mile's walk from the condo. The rooms were spacious and the beds were comfortable. The amount of outdoor patio space (on 3 levels) was great, and we almost always had doors open and fans running. If we hadn't had 3 straight day of rain, we certainly would have spent more time out there. The grill worked great too! We also loved access to the beach chairs, umbrella and beach towels. It made a trek to the beach so much easier! Similar to other reviews, hot water was a challenge in the 4th floor bathroom, but the other showers had warm water. We found the AC to be a bit finicky, but perhaps that's because of the extreme humidity with 3+ days of rain. Pack your own shampoo and soap, as we didn't find it to be provided (but there are multiple pharmacies near by if you want to buy locally instead). Please know that the penthouse has A LOT of stairs. To access the condo, one must walk up 3 flights of stairs. Within the condo, there is another open (no railing on one side) staircase to the 4th floor patio and bedroom and an exterior staircase to the 5th floor patio. For most of us, this wasn't a problem at all. But, for one of our companions the stairs presented a significant challenge. Communication with both the condo owner and property manager was very helpful. This is a great spot for a large family or 2 families to share.

I recommend this place. It's very close to the beach and to shopping, resturants and bars. The apartment was very large and perfect for us (two families of three). The host and manager were very helpful. It helped making our vacation great. All in all, we strongly recommend this place. Best regards from the Hummelstedt and Bérden families.

Nos encantó! Fuè buena la experiencia de nuestra estadía en este departamento. Bièn equipdo y limpio! Excelentes condiciones! Buena ubicaciòn, cercas de la playa mamitas y 5 Ave. Acercandose la fecha de nuestra reservación recibimos puntual la informaciòn para acceder a la propiedad y con quien dirigirnos en caso de necesitar algo! Fue muy fácil comunicarse con la dueña y muy accesible cuando le pedimos tener un pastel y globos a nuestra llegada, pues era el cumpleaños de nuestras hijas. Y... les encanto! Fuè un viaje familiar, primera vez para mis hijos en un lugar turistico en Mèxico, primera vez para nosotros rentando una propiedad en Mèxico. La experiencia ha sido inolvidable. Pensamos volver el pròximo año a Playa del carmen y èste departamento será nuestra primera opciòn.

A VERY COMFORTABLE APARTMENT WITH LOTS OF EXTRAS

Fantastic amazing modern apartment and great location. The apartment is very spacious, modern and well equipped with Jacuzzi and many big outside seating areas, one on the top with a view of the ocean, the balcony outside the living room is big with a lot of seating’s with BBQ. Big living room with a well-equipped kitchen. The master bedroom is large with an en-suite bathroom. Lots of space for everyone and everything in the house is to a very high standard. A few minutes’ walk is the wonderful beach, Playa Marmitas. The owner is extremely helpful and we would definitely visit again. I would not hesitate to recommend this villa, enjoy!

Clave incorrecta Ingreso

Al llegar al departamento lamento comunicar que no pudimos ingresar ya que el código informado por la propietaria via mail era Incorrecto, llamamos en reiteradas veces al teléfono informado como el (Concerje del Edificio) el cual nunca contesto ni a la fecha devolvió ningún llamado. Luego de 2 hs en la puerta del departamento sin saber que hacer pudimos enviar en mensaje al teléfono de la propietaria quien respondió a la brevedad y nos informo de la equivocación del número de ingreso y nos dio el correcto. El departamento muy lindo.

Exceeded our high expectations

We found the property to be as advertised and were very pleasantly surprised at how well the space is laid out. Everything was clean and the apartment is well appointed and extremely well located for the down town area and the beach. The owner is very easy to communicate with and extremely helpful. Highly recommended!
