Run away to this original 1950s mountain love shack- now reimagined as a couple’s retreat in the heart of the Great Smoky Mountains.
Designed exclusively for two, this oversized one-bedroom, one-bath getaway blends retro charm with modern comforts for a stay that’s equal parts cozy, playful, and unforgettable.
Step onto the porch swing and soak in vibrant sunsets, watch fireflies light up the summer night, or gaze up at the endless stars from your private perch in the hills. Inside, spark some friendly competition with a round of pool, foosball, or dive into 300 classic games on the full-sized retro arcade machine.
The king-size poster bed offers a front-row seat to Wyah Bald and the Appalachian Trail, visible through a triple sliding glass door that floods the space with natural light and unbeatable views. Cabin windows showcase sweeping forest and mountain vistas, while the kitchen’s picture windows frame a whimsical vine dangling from the balcony—a little wink from nature herself.
Share meals at the high-top table in front of large windows spilling mountain magic, then curl up in the massaging recliner loveseats by the electric fireplace for a movie marathon. Outside, swing together beneath the balcony, laugh as the breeze rustles the trees, or explore the terraced slopes hand-in-hand.
This cabin’s rustic tongue-and-groove walls, new flooring, and fully remodeled kitchen and bathroom make it warm and stylish, while the spa-like rain shower brings a splash of decadence to your mountain hideaway.
Whether you're smooching on the back balcony, wandering the property, or simply soaking in the stillness, this quirky, romantic nook is your personal Smoky Mountain mischief HQ.
Conveniently located near gem mining, waterfalls, hiking trails, and fishing spots, adventure is never far away.

The couple's cabin is perfect for a getaway for two! Everything you need has been thoughtfully provided by the hosts and the location is close to everything the area offers. We'll be back!
We had a wonderful stay here. It was comfortable and so peaceful, perfect for a quiet relaxing getaway for two. The location was great, very close to town, but felt remote, and the view was stunning. We would definitely stay again. Do note that the Internet is a bit spotty and we had no cell service (you need to enable wifi calling to get texts), so if fast reliable connectivity is imperative, a beautiful cabin in the mountains may not be the best choice for you.
The host was very accommodating and was excellent in communicating with us. The cabin was stocked just as stated in the listing. It was truly a home away from home. Not only were the sunset views breathtaking but this cozy cabin was just far enough outside of town to feel secluded but close enough to make the commute into to town convenient. If you are looking for the perfect cabin in Franklin, I highly recommend this cabin. We will be booking agin!

Thank you Crystal for the awesome review! I am so happy you enjoyed your time there. And yes please do come back.
First I want to thank my host for communicating with me about the hot water heater before my arrival. With that being said, I only had hot water for the first night i was there. There was also a dirty sponge left in the kitchen in the dish rack. The starlink service was not good the day after my arrival. It just kept buffering. So no tv arfter dark or at least consistent tv. Overall I loved the cabin and would book again for a weekend getaway if the small things are taken care of. Also the pool table was not stable or even enough to actually be used. Yet again, I truly did enjoy my stay here and would think about renting it again. Please reach out with any questions or concerns about this review.

About the host
Hosted by Jeanette Dutton
We are a family that loves to travel! As you stay in our cabin in the mountains, know we are off somewhere on our own adventure! Perhaps our paths will cross one day, and we can sit, share a drink and tell travel stories. That would be fun. Until then, let the adventures begin...
Why they chose this property
One step onto this cabin's porch and you'll understand why we purchased it. It was the swing! Yes, the swing. We sat down and observed the most beautiful mountains on a sunny afternoon, heard the birds chirping and felt the soft breezes of the range. We were sold.
What makes this property unique
The view! Really, it's the view. We've taken this cabin to the studs, updating all the systems, walls and layout so almost every room in the house has 'the view'!
