Beautiful historic stone house in small-town Bally.
This historic house in Bally, built in 1900, is a great place to spend a few days if you're in the area. This is currently only the second floor of a large house. The owners live on the main floor of the house. We do not have any children or pets. There is a nice yard behind the house with plenty of room for children (and adults) to play. You are welcome to use it. You will need to use the stairs to the exterior entrance on the rear of the house for the second floor. You will park in the parking lot in the back, not beside the house. Use the walkway across the yard to get to the rear entrance stairs. This rear exterior entrance enters the kitchen. (See additional photos.) You cannot get in the first floor doors! There is a full kitchen furnished with an oven with stovetop, a refrigerator, dishes and utensils, a coffeemaker, and microwave. There is no dishwasher. There is a stacked washer/dryer unit in there as well. The table can fit 6. There folding chairs in the dining room closet. The living room is in the front left of the house. It has a small stock of children's books and games. There is a day bed in the living area with an additional mattress underneath that can be laid out on the floor. These will be needed to fit 6 people. There is a door that can be closed when using the living room as a bedroom. There is an automatic fee of $10 per person per night after 2 people. The bedrooms and bathroom are on the right side of the house. The larger master bedroom with a queen bed and walk-in closet is the front room. The smaller bedroom with a full bed is in the back room. The full bath is in between, separate from the bedrooms. They are all joined by a short hallway. The whole area is has central air. Guests have access to the thermostat. Please give a brief description of your group and pets when requesting to book. A great place to call homebase while you're away, we hope you enjoy your stay!

This was such a lovely property to stay in! Everything was very clean and seemed well equipped. I was visiting for a family wedding and this house was so charming it made the entire weekend feel extra special.
We stayed at Brad's property while visiting family. The apartment had everything we needed - plenty of space, comfortable bedrooms, and a kitchen. The property was clean and easy to access. We would stay there again and recommend it to others!
Very clean and exactly as advertised. A great stay close to a wedding venue! It is an historical home so yes, the floor do creak. But the solid doors and running a fan ensured we could not hear other walking from inside the bedrooms! Great character.

Why they chose this property
Bally is a small town in rural Eastern Berks county Pennsylvania. The 125-year-old house caught my attention as a unique piece of local history.
What makes this property unique
The unique construction of this house (masonry and architecture) makes it stand out from the rest of the homes. The shakes were originally painted green and covered the roof as well. Across the street is a nearly identical house, still painted green.
