About this property
#8 Downtown Apt -Historic main street - King Bed
Enjoy a newly renovated historic motel studio located in a quiet corner right off of the historic Mariposa downtown strip. We're 40 miles to Yosemite Valley, the beautiful drive takes only an hour, and only steps away from the best shops and restaurants in town! This studio has everything you need after a day of exploring with an amazing King sized bed, smart TV with streaming Apps, convenient and functional kitchenette, spacious bathroom, beautifully tiled HOT shower, & IG worthy vintage charm! The space This is a one bedroom studio located upstairs in our historic boutique hotel building right off of the downtown Mariposa strip. Our brand is "Tourist Homes", just like the sign advertised to the public at it's original opening in 1938! Back then the rooms had wood fired cookstoves, radiator (steam) heaters, and the newest amenity around, a shower instead of a tub! We only wish we had the original log book of guests from then... could it be possible that Teddy Roosevelt stayed during his trip to Yosemite? Or maybe Ansel Adams? Hey, we can dream, right? ;-) Now the studio beckons you with charms from past... like the hardwood floors we found under the carpet, speakeasy style peek window on the door, the same shower space (newly redone), and vintage kitchen cabinetry. We've done our best to merge the 30's style with modern comforts and ammenities, and we hope you love it as much as we do! Here's what our space has for you: Bedroom/Living: -King sized bed with luxurious pillows, sheets, and comforter for an amazing night's sleep -Smart Roku TV with all your favorite streaming apps (we do not have cable) -Cozy corner chair/reading nook -Closet space
The studio shares a wall with one other guest room (coming to soon!) and has a double door between the rooms that can be opened in case of parties traveling together. The parking lot is located right in front of the building (Free parking) and you do not have to walk through any indoor common areas to get to your studio. We have a shared outdoor patio with a fire pit and cozy seating if you would like to mingle with other guests under the stars (& the 75 year old holly tree!) Other things to note Pet Policy: pets are permitted with our pet fee. Make sure your pet is accounted for in your booking details to have the fee automatically added to your total. We request that pets are not allowed on the furniture, or on our linens/towels.
Pets are not to be left unattended in the unit unless they have a crate to stay in. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding!
Parking: Our parking lot is very tight, and first come first serve. There is also free street parking nearby if our lot is full or that is more comfortable to you.
