Amazing Lake Lanier Views & Amenities

This 5 bedroom/4.5 bath house on 4.5 acres is perfect for enjoying amazing views of Lake Lanier year round. This property is also the only environmentally sustainable rental on Lake Lanier.
The home boasts a 12 kw solar system with backup batteries which generates the majority of the energy used at the property and helps to keep the lights on in case of a power outage.

When you're not enjoying the views or spending time in the lake or pool, the house also has 60' flat screen TV's in both the living room and game room that are great for watching sports and movies.

In addition, there are two master suites at Sunset Summit. The upstairs master has beautiful views of the lake from the bedroom and bathroom and a large balcony to relax on while you enjoy your morning coffee or wind down at the end of your day.
The master on the main floor has direct access to the pool deck and views of both the pool and lake. The dual masters ensure that multiple people have equally impressive views and amenities.

The home features a gourmet kitchen with double ovens and two dishwashers that are extremely helpful with large groups. There is also a fresh water 1/4 acre pond on the property that you can also fish on.
**The pool will be closed and covered from October 17 - March 16, each year.
The spa is available, however, year-round.**

***The property does have outdoor cameras that are pointed at the driveway, front door, and dock.
However, there are no cameras inside the house and there are no cameras on or around the pool deck. These cameras are used exclusively for safety/security of the house from people that shouldn't be there and also safety for our guests to know the house is secure when they get there. We actively monitor these exterior cameras when nobody is at the property. Once guests arrive, we don't actively monitor the Check availability

Don Carter State park is directly across the water from the house. This is the only state park on Lake Lanier (all other parks are federally run).
The park includes 1,300 acres with great amenities such as horseback riding trails, hiking/walking trails, sand beach, camping and cottage sites. The park can be easily accessed with our pedal boat or your own boat/rental boat. For further information on the park, please see the included link in the 'Links & Video' section of this listing.

Last but not least, this home is very convenient to multiple venues including: Chateau Elan, Road Atlanta, Olympic Rowing Venue, Walters Barn wedding venue, UGA, Gainesville, Cumming, and the North East Georgia Mountains.

Perfect house for a large group

Sunset Summit is a beautiful home with everything needed for a relaxing vacation! The house plan is perfect for multiple families with kids. There was plenty of room for everyone in our group of 3 families. The pool and hot tub was much enjoyed by all and hard to find at a lake home on Lake Lanier. The location is excellent for water sports, fishing and just enjoying the peace and quiet. The sunsets are amazing from anywhere on the property, whether indoors, the pool area, or boat dock! There were plenty of activities for all ages in the home and on the property. On a rainy afternoon, we all enjoyed playing games, dancing to the full house Sonos sound system, table tennis, billiards, puzzles and cooking. The kitchen is well stocked with all the essentials and the modern double oven was a nice surprise bonus. The house was very clean and well maintained. Jarrett was very helpful with questions about the home, as well as the surrounding area. 10 out of 10. Highly recommend!

Lake Lanier Gem

We enjoyed our stay here. Our family of 14 loved the pool area, fishing off the dock, nice fire pit area and a great game room. We loved having the 2 refrigerators and ovens. It was pretty secluded, be sure to bring bug spray. Jarrett was wonderful to work with!!

Relaxing getaway!

Beautiful and very welcoming home with everything you could possibly need! The kitchen was so well stocked with every cooking gadget you could ask for!! The pool and hot tub were amazing! The beds were so so comfy! We loved our week here with four generations making some wonderful memories!!!

Above and Beyond Host

Of all the VRBOs I've stayed in, I've NEVER had a host as kind and considerate as Jarrett. We traveled with my infant son and disabled sister, and he went out of his way to make sure we have the info and set up we needed. The house is beautiful, the pool and hot tub were divine. Great family vacation

We have been staying in various places on Lake Lanier for the last three years for a family vacation. Jarett’s place has exceeded them all! This home has everything you could possibly want in a vacation getaway. This home is appointed with great furniture for relaxing. Awesome views from the family room of the beautiful lake. The kitchen is spacious enough to accommodate a large family and equipped with everything you need to prepare a great meal. Each bedroom has a TV with very comfortable beds. Everyone enjoyed the pool and hot tub. Along with the game room. Jarrett was very quick to respond with any questions or needs we had. This was amazing vacation for our family! We definitely will be booking again for next year!

Lake Lanier Getaway

Perfect spot. Hosts are very helpful, and it’s a very secluded part of Lake Lanier. Plenty of room, wonderful pool/hot-tub, plenty to do and large enough property to feel remote. Would rent again.

Absolutely perfect!

This property seemed too good to be true online. However, the reality was even better. The entire place was clean and well appointed. We didn't want for everything and spent way too much time talking to Alexa. It was a perfect "working" vacation for my friend and I. Jarrett was extremely attentive and kind. I probably won't be able to afford to go back anytime soon. Otherwise, I'd book more often, as I'm a local from Atlanta who wishes I had a lake property. If I did, I would look for one exactly like this one. Thank you for trusting us with your lovely home. We hated to leave.

Family vacation

The home was perfect for our family vacation with 8 adults, a 3 year old and 1.5 year old. There is a crib and pack n play in the home so we didn’t have to bring them which was nice. The pool and home were very clean upon arrival. I skimmed the pool every morning and emptied the skimmers. Lots of large spiders were in the skimmers but easy to remove. We used the pool and fire pit daily. The walk to the dock was very unlevel ground with lots of rocks. The dock was nice but had several wasp nests and lots of spider webs. We had to avoid the wasps when getting in the boat we rented. Not a big deal, just be aware. We rented a pontoon boat from Shore to Shore and asked Bo for a sit in tube and life jackets for a 25 and 35 pound child. He stated he would get one. However, when the boat was delivered, no sit in tube or life jacket for a 25 pound child were there. Disappointing as I emailed 6 months in advance requesting these items and followed up with Bo 2 weeks prior to arrival. He confirmed all requests would be met. The boat…when we would get to 30 rpm’s, the engine would shut off. The boat would not allow us to go at a higher speed. It took us 2 hours to get to Pig Tales restaurant. NOTE: you can rent pontoon boats at Pig Tales dock and they have sit in tubes. Next time, we will rent from there nut not Shore to Shore. Summary: home was awesome, boat was a huge disappointment.

Perfect Family Vacation Home!

Jarrett was a phenomenal host and was very communicative checking on us throughout the stay. The house is a perfect location to see amazing sunsets. The setup is also ideal for families as the basement had plenty of activities for kids with a lower level bedroom. The master suite was amazing. The home offered every amenity you could think of and the pool was perfect for all the kids and adults. The dock is a walk down a cleared path but it isn’t as steep as you would think from pictures. We used the dock for our pontoon and had no issues dropping the boat locally. Jarrett provided all information we needed. Highly recommend this place!

Fabulous family vacation

Perfect Family Vacation

Our experience at Sunset Summit was outstanding from start to finish. The house had everything our 3 families needed to enjoy the week. The house was spacious and all the bedrooms were nice with plenty of room for everybody. The game room was a hit and the ping pong and Golden Tee were used frequently. There was a nice firepit that the kids loved making s'mores at night. The pool and hot tub were clean and used frequently. We enjoyed the lake access and we were fortunate to be able to rent a boat for 3 days to go fishing, tubing, and sightseeing. To top all this off Jarrett (owner) was an absolute pleasure to work with and he was always attentive to any questions we might have had. We would stay here again in the future for sure.

Best place for families of all ages.

The home and property was beautiful. Everything you could ask for or need. Grocery store and restaurants close by. The pool was amazing! The dock was great for fishing or hanging out. The game room was awesome, watched TV as a family together at night. Kids played basketball in the afternoons and adults hug out on front porch visiting. Very relaxing. Owner was awesome checking in if we needed anything at all. No issues what so ever. Plenty of room for a large family vacation! I highly recommend!!! The entire experience was smooth, would definitely stay again.

Amazing property!

We rented this with another family, 4 adults and 6 kids mostly teenagers. So much room for all of us, had all the amenities we needed/wanted. It was so nice to have two master sweets for both couples. Jarrett the owner was always there for a quick response for any questions I had about the house or area. The lake was so much fun for us and we liked being on the upper part where it was a bit quieter for tubing the kids around. If your looking for an amazing sunset this is the place, the elevated pool over looks the lake and the sunset was dead center in our view (3rd week in June). We were very happy and have recommended to friends and family and will come back again someday. Thanks Jarrett!!!

Great place and an amazing view

The property owner (Jarrett) was very engaging and accommodating. The property is in a quiet area, yet close to supermarkets and restaurants. The best part of this property is the house: it is amazing. It is well furnished (including the kitchen), and the living spaces are great for groups. We loved the koi pond with its water-wall. The sound of crickets and frogs around the pond serenaded each night. I only have one wish for this property: a heated pool (I like warm pools)..

Family Reunion

Wonderful house for all ages!

We had kids and adults that ranged from 5-65 years of age and there was something to do for everyone! The fun never ended with the pool, hot tub, ping pong / pool table, foosball table, board games, puzzles and much more. The property was clean and the lot is private. The owner, Jarrett, was extremely responsive and made sure we had everything we needed. We would stay again!

Perfect multi-family lake house

Lake Lanier Get Away

We enjoyed this lake house very much….had exactly what we needed and more! Even though the weather was not our friend during this stay, we were able to relax, laugh and enjoy the hot tub and game room. Owner was wonderful to work with and was very reactive to any questions.
