This four bedroom, three bath Lakefont house is a great place to relax and enjoy the lake with family and friends. It offers a modern fully equipped kitchen, living room with wood burning fire place and sun room with amazing views of the lake. Off one side of the sunroom is a large deck that provides ample seating along with a charcoal grill . On the other side of the sunroom is a screen porch with table and chairs perfect for sunset dining! The upstairs master bedroom has a KING size bed and private bathroom. The upstairs guest room has twin beds (can be made into a king) and access to the upstairs guest bathroom. Downstairs can be a great get away for the kids! It offers a den with a tv , game console, two bedrooms (each with twin beds, a full bath, and a large screen porch with a great view of the lake. High on the property's list of amenities is its private double decker dock with a boat ramp located beside the dock! It's the perfect place to relax, catch some rays,fish,or just enjoy the tranquility the lake,

Close to shopping- within 10 minute drive to grocery stores, ABC store, gas stations, Portman Shoals Marina, hardware store and restaurants. Within 15 minutes to the town of Anderson, 25 minutes to Clemson, 40 minutes to Greenville, 1 1/2 hours to Atlanta, and 45 minutes to the Blue Ridge Mountains. Seven miles (13 min.)to Green pond boat landing. (15 min. From Denver Downs farm with its corn maze and musical entertainment.

Cozy lake house with a beautiful lakefront and view! We stayed here over the long Christmas weekend with our dogs for close proximity to Seneca family. The house was clean, roomy, and comfortable, equipped with everything we could need.

Jon was extremely welcoming the Lake house was so beautiful and more than we had imagined, The pictures of the Lake house online were nice but in person it was a piece of heaven. My family and I were so so pleased with the layout. The owner checked on us via text to make sure we were ok wished us a happy Thanksgiving which gave us a since of home. The peace out there was what we needed and we were thankful. We will book again; we were treated like family. The house had everything we needed it was fully equipped. Thanks Jon to you and your family for sharing your home with us.

Great getaway

Quiet area, great lake view. Easy access to dock. Only used first level. Plenty of room downstairs for larger groups. Recommend for anyone seeking time away at lake. Great communication from owner.

Great place

It was a great stay. As described. Clean. Easy communication. Good cove with deep water. Relatively close to the lake on a pretty flat lot. House located an easy drive from Anderson. Comfy beds. Well appointed kitchen. Owner easy to deal with. 5 stars! If you like super fancy, this place isn’t. If you like comfy, spacious, well equipped, Great Lake house, book it.

We had a wonderful stay, it was the perfect property to relax, even with 6 teenagers! The downstairs was perfect for the boys to hang out and play games. We loved the swing on the screened-in porch, a perfect spot to enjoy the beautiful lake view. The dock was well used by all of us, lots of great fishing, jumping and floating; a perfect spot on the lake! We had everything we needed, and cooked all meals in a fully stocked kitchen. We would love to come back again, the property made our vacation that much more special. Jon is a great host and great to communicate with.

Lake get away

This place was the perfect place to kick back and relax! The house was nice with so many little extras like the porches that over looked the lake, the chimney on the porch where you could have a fire, and the screened in porch downstairs. We loved the double dock and we caught lots of fish! We canoed and the teenagers loved the body board. We played cornhole and grilled out! We loved it and will stay again!

Great Graduation Stay

We had a quick stay for our daughter's graduation from Clemson. Jon was great to deal with and checked in a couple of times during our stay. The house fit our needs perfectly; we didn't do much with the lake other than enjoy it from the decks and living room. They had just about everything you can imagine in the kitchen, if it isn't there you likely don't need it. Can't wait to come back again and take advantage of the fire-pit and lake! Thanks Jon!

This place was just right for us on a hot summer getaway. Superb kitchen with tons of supplies, multiple living spaces and screened in porches, great dock with upper level to watch the sunset, easy boat rental, quiet cove, nice swimming, large yard, comfy beds couches and chairs, great A/C, and the two twin bed rooms downstairs with their own living room was fun for the teens. The furnishings were lived-in and casual so I didn’t feel paranoid about using things. The host was generous and very communicative. Plenty of games and it was fun learning bumper pool :) Thank you to the McKnights for sharing their home!

Great Lake Hartwell Location

Very happy with our long weekend stay at this property. The location is perfect on a quiet cove with great dock and deep water. The house had everything we needed, was very comfortable, and is close to grocery stores and restaurants. Very easy to find. Jon was one of the best VRBO hosts I have encountered - super communicative, very helpful, and wanting to make sure we enjoyed the best stay that we could. Highly recommend, particularly for families.

Great property for families!

This house had the perfect layout for families with kids. Kids took over the basement and had plenty of room to spread out. The double decker dock was a big hit. Owner was super-responsive and helpful. Dog friendly and fun neighbors. We had a fantastic stay.

Wonderful time on the lake.

We have been coming to Hartwell for 13 years. This was our favorite location. Having the boat on site was a bonus for us. The house was perfect and very homey. Jon is a great host. Definitely recommend. We will be back!

Great location!

We had a wonderful weekend getaway. The location on the lake is perfect, and the house has beautiful views from the porches and sunroom. The double-decker dock was great, and we really appreciated the option to add the pontoon rental - wonderful to be able to come and go on the water all weekend right from our dock. The kitchen and furnishings are as they appear in the listing photos - functional but not fancy. The host was very quick with communications and helpful. Overall a great place to stay!

This is a great house for a single family stay. Dock and yard is nice, great porches, kitchen and sitting areas. One draw back, is that if multiple adults are going to stay here, the beds need to be upgraded. One room with a king is great, but the rest of the beds (4) are singles. Could do better there.

home away from home

my family have stayed at Mr. McKnight's property for 6 years now. Labor Day is our holiday of choice. Mr. Jon has been more than accommodating to us. The minute we get there we are ready to relax and enjoy the lake and all it has to offer.

Lake House

We all enjoyed our stay at the Lake House. The house was supplied with everything we needed. We enjoyed the lake, went on pontoon rides, grilled on the deck, and enjoyed the beautiful views of Lake Hartwell. The owners are easy to contact if needed. They have a great place for family and pets to enjoy! I would highly recommend. It was very peaceful and we enjoyed every moment!

Relaxing & Awesome time on the Lake

My family and I had a wonderful time from the moment we arrived. Our main focus was relaxing, boating and having fun. The week went to fast and we wish we could have stayed another week. The lake house accommodated each of us comfortably. We had an easy time prepping meals, having three bathrooms for cleaning up after a great lake day and nice grassy areas for our dog. Jon the property owner was wonderful to communicate with from the start. It was a great getaway!

This is the perfect location, close to the interstate and shopping and wonderful views and access to all of beautiful Lake Hartwell.

What makes this property unique

This property is located on a quiet dead end street and only 10 minutes away from Portman Shoals Marina, The Galley Restaraunt, and Nami's Japanese Restaraunt by car or boat. The house is also about 25 minutes away from Clemson University and about 30 minutes away from the outlets in Commerce, GA.

About the Cove and Dock:
Deep water creek, Boat ramp (useable depending on the level of the lake), covered dock with sun deck and ladder, cove protected from rough, big water.
