Absolutely terrific house for our family of 17 - the only issue we had was running out of propane, and the Management Company brought a replacement the next day. We would definitely stay there again.

Hi! We are so happy to hear that you enjoyed your stay and that the house was able to accommodate a larger group! We are also happy to hear that our maintenance team was fast and reliable! We would love to host you again!
Beautiful home. Very accommodating for 4 couples, 4 children under 3 and 2 other adults. Loved the pool area- just needs a potty by the pool! Check in & checkout were seamless. Short walk to beach access. Few issues- 9am check out is too early! Pool deck is wooden and needs some repairs of the boards, weeds growing up through the deck and the downstairs AC froze the second night. Maintenance was quick to respond and issue fixed for time being. Oasis office called, left a message and no one returned my call. I would definitely stay at 215 Shore Thing.

Thank you so much for your wonderful review! We’re thrilled to hear that the home was a great fit for your group and that you enjoyed the pool area, convenient beach access, and seamless check-in and check-out.
We also really appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback. We’ll be sure to pass along your comments regarding the pool deck and landscaping. We’re glad our maintenance team was able to respond quickly and get the AC issue addressed during your stay as well.
Thank you again for staying with us, and we hope to have the opportunity to welcome you and your group back to the beach soon!
The location of the home is fantastic but unfortunately the cleanliness of the home was very disappointing. When we arrived on Saturday the trash had not been emptied and there was cardboard blowing around the driveway and in the road. We had contacted Oasis via email to notify someone about the trash as we were initially worried about it filling before pickup that upcoming Tuesday. No one contacted us so I ended up calling Oasis and spoke with a wonderful gentleman who apologized and did his best to address the issue but it wasn’t fully addressed until Wednesday. The flies from the trash were so overwhelming for the first few days we couldn’t even set a drink outside or grill food. The comforters and towels were stained and overall the house was poorly cleaned. There were cockroaches inside in the showers and outside the home. The pool was not cleaned at all during the week as advertised and was filthy the last two/three days we were there. Some of the lighting and outlets on the first floor did not work and the left side of the kitchen outlets did not work either. We love staying at Holden Beach and have for over 13 years but would pause before booking another home through Oasis. I left a review directly with Oasis and have not been contacted. Very disappointed.

We are truly and sincerely sorry to hear about your experience. This is absolutely not the standard of stay we strive to provide, and we completely understand your disappointment and frustration. Most importantly, we are sorry that we let you down during a vacation to a place you have enjoyed for more than 13 years.
The issues you described, from the overflowing trash and flies to the condition of the linens, cleanliness of the home, pest concerns, pool, and electrical outlets, are unacceptable. We especially apologize that you reached out to us about the trash and did not receive a timely response. You should never have had to follow up yourself to get an issue addressed, particularly one that was impacting your ability to comfortably enjoy the home and spend time outside. We are grateful to hear that the gentleman you spoke with was helpful, but we recognize that the situation should have been handled much sooner and more thoroughly.
We are also very sorry that you left a review directly with Oasis and did not hear back from anyone. That is particularly disappointing to us because we want our guests to feel heard when they take the time to bring concerns to our attention. You deserved a response.
We are taking your feedback very seriously and will be sharing these concerns with our cleaning, maintenance, and management teams as well as the homeowner so that these issues can be properly investigated and addressed. We know that an apology alone does not make up for the inconvenience and frustration you experienced, but please know that we genuinely appreciate you bringing this to our attention.
We are especially saddened to hear that this experience would make you hesitant to stay with Oasis again. We would truly appreciate the opportunity to earn back your trust and show you the level of service and care that we expect from ourselves. We are incredibly sorry that we fell short this time, and we hope that someday you will give us another opportunity to provide you with the relaxing Holden Beach vacation you have come to love.
We rented this VRBO for a family get together to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary with our kids and grandchildren. The property and location were perfect. We spent a lot of time in the pool. The water was chilly in the morning, but warm by mid-afternoon. The beach is a short 6 minute walk away. The kitchen is well stocked with pots, pans, dishes and utensils. Everything we needed for basic cooking was available. Two items of the house were a hit: the elevator and the oceanfront balcony. I have arthritis in my knees so stairs are difficult. The house elevator makes Shore Thing handicap accessible even for someone in a wheelchair. The oceanfront balcony that was accessed by a spiral staircase was a hit with young and old. Many members of the family went there to sit throughout the day and evening to find moments of quiet and enjoy the view. The family made good use of the pool table downstairs. There is a variety of pool toys for use in the pool. Also, the house was well stocked with games. Every bedroom has a tv in it. Seriously, the house alone has so much to do on site that you wouldn't need to go to town.Holden Beach community is small and cozy. We had a fun time at Fantasy Isle Ice Cream and mini-golf. And I had the best Connecticut style lobster roll and cole slaw at Salty Dogs Cafe and Bark Bar. The property manager was very responsive and helpful when we had a question or issue. I highly recommend this property for a large group.
