The house was great. Fit our family perfectly. Very spacious where you weren't on top of each other all the time. Our host couldn't have been better. Communicated great and always timely. He made us feel like we were at home. Couldn't have been better.
House is great, very convenient to the shuttle and close to the mountain. The host is great, very responsive and helpful. We had 9 people in the house and everyone was very comfortable, kitchen/ common area is amazing. lots of cozy seating with an amazing view of Stratton!
The home is a great place for a bunch of families to get together and enjoy Stratton Mountain! The shuttle is so convenient, the kitchen is perfect to cook and entertain. Plenty of rooms to accommodate multiple families and kids and the entry for skis and boots is perfect. Gavin was very accommodating and responded within minutes of us asking questions. We would stay here again.
Our group had the most wonderful stay at Gavin's home. The house was beautiful and comfortable, and the kitchen was very well stocked. The location was also very convenient (3 minute drive to the ski slopes). Gavin was also kind enough to allow us an early check-in and late check-out. We look forward to staying here again in the future.
The house was perfect for my family’s ski weekend getaway. Gavin was very responsive with all questions/requests. The house is very spacious and the layout was perfect to accommodate our family’s needs. Hope to visit again!
The host, the house, the location and the weather/mountain all made for a great week. Six adults/parents and three children ranging from 3 1/2, 21 months and 8 weeks all had a great bedroom and living space. The host, Gavin, was helpful whenever needed. The views of a Stratton were a constant.
Our party of 8 (including 2 kids) had plenty of room to rest and relax after hitting the slopes. The common space (living room/kitchen/dining room) is somehow even larger than it appears from the pictures. Location made it easy to get out and get the kids to those early ski lessons each day. Cleaning could be more rigorous (especially in the guest bathrooms & bedrooms). The property manager assisted to the best of his ability when the central heat went out on our last night there, immediately dispatching a tech, and making us whole after the problem proved too much to fix before our departure.

The check in propose was easy. House was clean but smelted like the fireplace. The host said he had the flu wired open and I think this is the reason why the house smells like the fireplace . Tried to light the fireplace and it was not working correctly. It filled the house twice with smoke. It even set off the smoke detector on that floor. I called the host and got a response and they said they would send someone. At this point I did not want to have to deal with this issue so I did not use the fireplace. After this issue, I began to look around the house to check for safety issues. I did find a utility room that was not properly ventilated. They had a paint can holding the door open. The utility closet was so hot u could feel it through the wall and floor. At this point I started looking for smoke detectors. They removed all the detectors around that utility room. There is no smoke detectors in the utility room or in the rooms around the hot utility closet. The nearest smoke detector is 16 steps and around two corners. When I discovered this situation I began to feel very uncomfortable with my family staying here. On the first night I was awaken by the sound of running water. The second floor toilet was running. I also found they have a master toilet that runs. I really wish people would fix these issue before they let people stay there. It’s a bummer when your dealing someone else issues. This house is not worth the heavy price tag and might be a safety issue.
On arrival plow job was horrible had to contact manager to have plow come back out.Nothing was shoveled exit door near garage door could hardly open if it was an emergency and u had to exit quick good luck only access was threw garage door which master bedroom is above so if letting any pets out early u r now awake. Firewood was at exit door covered in snow so has to be brought in through garage not by the door it’s near for days to dry out u would think it would be covered or something. Heat system is awful house was freezing cold some kind of electric units on walls that do nothing and space heaters everywhere whenI called manager he said feel free to leave space heaters on all the time I’m sure everyone knows that’s not a good idea u could feel the wind blowing threw every window the shades were moving no remotes to close top shades from the moon and lights outside in master right in your face while trying to sleep gas fireplace didn’t work in master. Nice mudroom for ski stuff but couldn’t keep boots or clothing in no heat in room anywhere u would be freezing on your first run. Top floor shower leaked into pantry after 2 showers u could tell it’s happened before from the ring around light fixture where the water was leaking from.Kitchen was a mess everything just piled in behind doors not enough silverware for 8 never mind 12. House is in despite need of some repairs and cleaning.Did call manager and tell him all the things mentioned .Should of gotten some money back.
