The Vicinity of the Beach

Generally, my family and I enjoyed being able to see the ocean and to be able to walk the beach every morning. My only concern was that I reported that the TV in my bedroom did not work; they said that they would take of it, but no one ever came.

Siblings trip

The condo was very clean, and check in and check out was smooth self guided process. Really enjoyed the balconies, view, neighbors, and closeness to beach. Disappointed that the pool was closed, when I spoke with management we said that we chose this place because of the location to beach and it having a pool but was never warned that the pool was temporarily closed. All the other pools around us were open, and a few hotels down was a water park that was open. The pool opened the day we left.

The condo was clean, roomy, had everything we would possibly need. The pool was clean and the area around it also. However if there is someone to spray for bugs, it didn’t seem like it. A few cockroaches were seen outside our door on the walkway and I was afraid my grand babies would step on them with their bare feet. Also I realize people own some of those condos but act like they own the pool and grounds. Even though my grand babies weren’t doing anything wrong some people there find fault in anything .

The location of this property was great. The pool was nice and the unit overlooked the ocean. We were able to enjoy both ocean and pool. It was also short drive to broadway at the beach and great restaurants. There is some areas of opportunity for the unit. The glass door in shower was broken and came off the hinges every time we used it. Maintenance did come up to put it back on. However, it broke again simply just trying to get in the shower. Somone could get hurt if its not replaced and shatters. I think it would a good idea to get new matresses for the beds. The other guests with us said their matress was not comfortable. I think for the amount we paid to rent the unit it could use some upgrades. I loved the property and we are looking into renting a different unit same floor thats a bit more bang for our buck.

However our condo at Anchorage had all the comforts if home, was clean and well kept and had great views of the ocean and pool. The area around the property is absolutely beautiful, all residential homes and a great path to walk up and down Ocean Blvd. While the weather was awful we had a great stay and if we ever decide to give Myrtle Beach another shot we will definitely book this unit.

In the interim, we stayed at different "beach houses". This experience was by far superior to those rentals. At the Anchorage, the beach is just across the parking lot. The shared pool is well kept and was never crowded, and the grounds are beautifully landscaped. The unit included beach accessories, chairs, boogie boards, and sun shades. Interior furnishings were perfect for our family, and the beds were very comfortable. Highly recommend this property.

The condo is not oceanfront per say but there isn’t anything obstructing the view on the other side of the road and it was a very easy walk to the beach; actually much easier than some oceanfront condos I’ve stayed in. We had a couple of maintenance issues but the management was very helpful and got things fixed. We had a great time.

wonderful family vacation

As suspected the upstairs bedroom was not completely priveate, but it worked fine for two of our kids. We felt the condo was larger and in better condition than anticipated from the photos. The commplex felt smaller, more intimate. The beach was super close - closer than some standalone houses we have rented. We were close to restaurants, shops - even walking distance to some. The complex is on the edge of a quiet neighborhood and in general away from the strip, big resorts, noise, etc but it was close to drive to. Overall we had a great experience and would consider staying here again.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: It wasn't horrible BUT the master shower has horrible mold. The kitchen counters were sticky everywhere, the dishwasher turned on when it felt like it actually wanted to work. The sliding glass doors all need replaced. All the beds need new mattress. For how much the week cost us, we were not impressed at all
