The exterior of this property is what makes it so amazing. The garden is immaculately kept and the pool area is beautiful. We spent most of our time outside enjoying the amazing weather and playing wiffle ball and table tennis. The interior is a bit dated and some of the patio furniture could use a refresh, but the location, amount of space and privacy made it well worth it. The hot tub is very small, but overall this place is amazing and we would definitely come back.

This was best holiday we’ve had and made even better as the villa was out of this world. It was so spacious and worked well for us and our adult children. Before arriving David was very responsive to emails and Nuno was helpful for anything we needed when we weee there. The pool was great and having it heated meant we used it a lot. The men really enjoyed the putting green. We would love to come back

Lovely villa!

This lovely, spacious villa suited our two families (4 adults, 4 children) perfectly. The children spent hours in the heated pool and the jacuzzi was an added bonus. Nuno gave us a warm welcome with fresh bread, snacks and wine and was helpful throughout our stay. Great location, more sheltered than others places we have stayed in over the years. Loved it.

Stunning villa. Amazing views. Superb pool, Jacuzzi and sauna. The kitchen is well equipped with everything you need when feeding 8! The local beach within walking distance is brilliant and the bar there is excellent! The owners are very helpful and answer any queries you have very quickly. I would highly recommend this villa and are already looking to return!

Large beautiful house near beautiful beaches and little towns

We had an amazing stay in this beautiful villa. Paying extra to heat the pool in October was well worth it. Plenty of extras to entertain four children ranging from 5-14 and adults! I’ve only given it four stars as there are a few things that need a little bit of tlc. The villa was everything we needed for an October sunshine break. Thank you

Incredible house in a beautiful area

The house was amazing. The pool, hot tub & sauna made it feel like you were at your own private resort surrounded by beautiful landscaping up on the hill with views of the water. The putting green was incredible. So much to do at the house, but in a perfect location to get away to hike the 7 mile cliff trail, less than a mile from the house down the hill. Absolutely beautiful views - wild flowers everywhere & a large fort ruin at the top of the hill and the incredible Burgau beach below. It felt like a private beach as we were the only ones there. Burgau is such a special place. The food was amazing at every restaurant we went to & the people were incredibly friendly. We hiked, surfed, played gold, chartered a boat for a day touring the caves & remote beaches and explored Sagres and Lagos. Burgau is tucked just between the two so the house is in an ideal location. David was incredibly helpful in ensuring we had a wonderful stay.We are definitely coming back.

Outstanding villa

We would just like to thank David and Nuno for making our long awaited holiday so amazing. The villa is outstanding. For our family group of 7 it was perfect. The layout of the villa meant they we had plenty of communal space but also private space when and if needed. The views were spectacular and the swimming pool the focal point of our holiday! Keeping adults and teenagers amused for hours. Would highly recommend this villa and location for a memorable holiday. We look forward to returning next year! Thank you

Home away from Home!

We took our time choosing somewhere we felt would work for us as a family; with my son and his wife and their 20 month old toddler and my daughter and partner and this lovely villa turned out to be just perfect for us all to have privacy if we needed it and also spacious enough for us all to be together around the dining tables and in the kitchen. Absolutely everything we needed was provided from lovely white fluffly towels in all the bathrooms, pool towels, kitchen equipment, BBQ facilities, table tennis, super pool and hot tub which we used every night and not forgetting the putting green! The beds, pillows and linen were fresh and clean and so comfortable and the towels were changed mid week, a real bonus. This villa was super clean which was important having a toddler running around. The gardens are so beautiful and well maintained with the gardener coming round during our stay along with the pool and jacuzzi being checked and cleaned. Our main aim was for us all to relax and chillout and we were certainly able to do this. The owner has been so helpful answering all my many questions however trivial, but to be honest everything described here is exactly how it is. The information regarding restaurants and places to visit was so useful. The company who take care of the villa are superb and Nuno was so welcoming and friendly. We walked to the the Cabhana on the beach and enjoyed a couple of meals there which were amazing. You should book to eat there but we were lucky enough to walk in on one occasion. Burgau is such a pretty place and still unspoilt but definitely still need to book restaurants which I would recommend doing as soon as you can. Supermarket in Budens has an amazing patisserie but be sure to take your ticket when you get in line - bit of a wait as its always so busy but definitely worth it. To sum up our break in Portugal we could not have wished for more this villa is definitely a home away from home and we will certainly be back. Thank you David and Carol for sharing your stunning home with us.

Superb accommodation

We had an amazing time in this villa. The cool Atlantic winds made the heat bearable even in mid July. The pool area is perfect for both swimming and relaxing and suitable for the whole family. The big balcony and its views is awesome for eating any time of the day. And the umbrella makes its possible even during hot hours. Initially we had some trouble with the AC in one of the bedrooms but it was fixed after a few days. Nuno was very helpful. Our first visit to the west Algarve will certainly become a second.

Beautiful, spacious home

Beautiful home, every bedroom and bathroom was large and well furnished. The kitchen was well equipped. There was a better view of the ocean than we had expected. The pool and hot tub were very clean . We had them both heated, the hot tub could have been a little warmer. Overall a great place with lots to do at the house. I would rent it again if we were in the area.

A propriedade localiza-se num Algarve, mais bucólico com a tranquilidade ideal para uma fantástica estadia… Perto e de fácil acesso a várias praias, assim como da vila do Burgau e mesmo de Vila do Bispo. Beautiful Villa in Budens Area

The villa is beautiful and the location although slightly remote is not overly far from anywhere in the Algarve. You need a vehicle in this area to truly appreciate the remote villages, beaches etc. We also traveled to Lagos and Travira during our brief stay. We also quite enjoyed the pool and hot tub after a day of sightseeing. The only downside with the property is the extremely poor internet and TV connection.

Amazing experience all around!

We truly had an amazing time at David and Carol's house, we just came back to NYC and we already miss it very much. Not only the house was super clean and very comfortable, but its geographic location right between Lagos + Luz on one side and Sagres + the most amazing coastline on the other side was just perfect!!! Not to mention Nuno, our property manager who helped figure out babysitters, boat trips, etc...we will be back!!!!

We are family with 3 Children (Now adults) who have grown up using the Villa for Holidays. We live in Ireland and love coming to the Western Algarve when ever we get time.

Why they chose this property

After renting a property in 2008 in this specific area area we fell in love with the Western Algarve which is unique and so different to the other areas of the Algarve.
We had stayed in many areas in the Algarve previously but this is a unique and beautiful area.
We are on the edge of the national park located beside the beautiful villages of Burgau and Salema but close to Lagos and the motorway so access to everything is close by.

What makes this property unique

Walking up to the stunning view and wildlife and going early in the morning to the local bakery in Burgau to get fresh bread for breakfast or the excellent range of quality food and facilities This is just some of to many unique benefits of the villa and its location.
