Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights and lock the doors
Please set the thermostat in the living room to 68 in winter and 72 in summer
Hot tub towels: please place them in the lower bin inside the laundry closet
For all bathroom linens, please leave them hung up and not on the floor.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
Guests are not permitted to park vehicles or trailers on the street. 2hr parking is in effect. There are six off street spots in the driveway.
Use of the hot tub or any propane devices on the property is at the risk and liability of the primary renter.
No other persons may be allowed on the property without prior written consent.

Beautiful home with a charming interior, nestled in by the Niantic Bay. We enjoyed walking through town and to the beach from the house. We didn't have to drive at all! Everything is within walking distance. The house has a lovely flow from room to room with any amenity needed. It has a private backyard perfect for relaxing with family or friends by fireside or in the hot tub. I highly recommend this hoise to anyone wanting to stay in the Niantic area.

The house was very clean and organized, and the host provided everything that you could possibly need for vacation. The house looked just like the photos. The host was very responsive when I was unable to find the check-in code--he responded within minutes. Bearing in mind that we stayed in the off-season, it was a very quiet and private property. There were lots of shops and restaurants within walking distance. The yard was perfect for our dog, and the hot tub/appliances all worked well. Could not recommend this house enough.

Very cozy feel overall. Good kitchen for cooking. Enjoyed the hot tub and the backyard. Downtown Niantic restaurants and shops are an easy walk away. Likewise the boardwalk. We did not have a dog with us but did note that there is a crate in the master suite and food and water bowls downstairs. All handy if you have your dog with you.

The Bow House is great! The home was very clean, well-stocked with everything that you needed, and very close to the strip in Niantic - easy walking distance. The hot tub and fire pit were great and we would certainly stay again.Finally, all of the cupboards and cabinets were nicely labeled which made finding pots, pans, towels, knives...EASYThe Bow House will not disappoint!

Bow House was even better in person than in the photos, if you can imagine! This property is so beautiful, thoughtful, and fun. It was so easy to find everything that we needed with the thoughtful labeling, and Markus thought of everything that we could possibly need! The home was so beautiful and comfortable, and there were so many fun and whimsical things to discover in the decor. Fantastic location, walkable to many restaurants and an easy drive to many of the towns we wanted to visit in the area (Essex, Mystic, Old Lyme, etc). My mother said “Markus deserves VRBO of the year—this place is amazing!” I couldn’t agree more. We were so delighted by our visit—would stay here again in a heartbeat and enthusiastically recommend it.

Wow

This home was amazing! We stayed here for most of the week so we could participate in USCGA graduation activities. The home had everything we could possibly need (including a diffuser for my curly-haired daughter). The labels in the kitchen made it super easy to find and put things away. We enjoyed chatting at the fire pit and warming up in the hot tub after a very chilly graduation day. Would absolutely stay here again.

Pretty house in great location!

We just returned from a lovely long weekend at the Bow House. The home is even lovelier in person than in the pictures, charming down to the last detail. It is spacious, comfortable and very clean. I appreciated the little touches such as providing not just hand soap, but also shampoo, conditioner, dish soap a new sealed dish sponge, laundry pods etc. Location is great, the town is very cute with great cafes, shops and ice cream shops, just one block from the water. Easy drive to Mystic. Markus was extremely responsive and a pleasure to work with. We will be back!!

Our recent stay at the Bow House exceeded expectations.We were in the area for the U.S. Coast Guard Academy's Family weekend. The Bow House is located in the small coastal town of Niantic. The house is one block from the water and walking distance to many restaurants, bakeries, ice cream shops, etc. We loved the location!!The house itself is beautiful, spacious, spotless and very thoughtfully equipped. Everything we needed was provided (shampoo/conditioner/soap/paper products/laundry pods/etc..) The pictures do not do the property justice. Additionally, there is a firepit and hot tub in the fully fenced rear yard! Everything about our stay was amazing.The host, Marcus, was very responsive and easy to work with.We hope to be back again.

The house is so beautiful and decorated wonderfully. Beds were vety comfortable and such bug fluffy towels. , it is walkable to the beach and boatdwalk but we were there in February so we couldn’t see it. The fenced in backyard wpuld be great for little ones or a doggie. The kitchen is wonderful and fully stocked. . We hope to return to the area in the summer

I've been a vacation rental host for over seven years. Bow House is my latest project in a series of four iconic homes that started in Arizona then the Poconos of Pennsylvania and now the Connecticut Coast in Niantic. I love how hosting has connected me with hundreds of amazing travelers looking to explore these incredible places we get to live.
I work in TV Media Sales Distribution in NYC but I live in Connecticut about an hour from Bow House. It's an incredible privilege to live a fast-paced work life and be able to relax into the Niantic Bay on the weekends.

Why they chose this property

Niantic is a hidden gem of Connecticut because the train doesn't stop here, which is why you'll find that among all the sea villages off the Long Island Sound, this is the place where locals vacation during their holidays. It has some of the best pizza, bookstores, cafes, and live entertainment you'll find anywhere.

What makes this property unique

I chose to open Bow House to vacation renters because of its iconic architecture and nearly museum-like decor theme. This was easily my favorite restoration project to date. The art and furniture pieces tell the story of a sea captain that built this house with his wife for their retirement. The house is filled with fun artifacts I hope guests will explore to try and uncover their secrets. Do you recognize anyone in these portraits?
The house has enough parking for your water toys and your guests, a very large and private fenced yard, a comfortable hot tub, a covered patio for those rainy coastal days, and is still located a one-minute walk to so many restaurants and the incredible Sift Bakery. You can easily arrive at Bow House for the weekend and never step in your car until it's time to go home.
