Thanks for a wonderful weekend. The cabin was just the right size for our family. We enjoyed relaxing around the fireplace and walking the nearby trails.
It was an amazing getaway!A wonderful, cozy home with an interesting history. A quiet place where you can truly recharge. The house felt like a small museum, where everything has meaning. There were many interesting books and board games, and everything we needed was provided.Just one small note: Wi-Fi would have been helpful, because even though we wanted to disconnect, some work matters still required being online do - but this was not critical at all.Thank you for a fantastic stay! We will definitely come back and will gladly recommend your cozy cabin.
We enjoyed our time at the cabin. The living room is filled with light from the wall of windows, and it has a very comfy sofa and pair of armchairs. It's a great place to read or hang out. The deck is also perfect, with a beautiful forest view, two comfy lounge chairs, and a picnic table. The kitchen is well stocked, and we appreciated the ground coffee in the fridge. The cabin and its surroundings are very quiet. There is a nice market down the hill and a cafe (Zoe) just across the highway. Here are a few things to know ahead of time. The driveway is long and steep, with a smallish flat space at the top for parking. We had to do a lot of maneuvering to turn our car around at the top, but we got better with practice. Also, we knew that there would be no wi-fi (we brought plenty of books!), but we didn't realize that our cellular service (Verizon) would have poor coverage; we had one bar most of the time. The people at Zoe Coffee House confirmed that it wasn't just us, and luckily they have wi-fi and a EV Connect 4.8kw charger nearby. There is also a 50kw CCS charger at a Chevy dealership in Jamestown. We were visiting this area to do day hikes in Emigrant Wilderness. The cabin gave us good access to the trailheads and a nice place to come home to.
It’s was avery cozy cabin and the host was very kind and helpful during the snow storm! The view was so beautiful. We definitely recommend this cabin for a family of 4. Thanks Sharon!
