Summer Getaway Cabin

This beautiful Lake Superior cabin that sleeps six [ two bedrooms plus an open loft that has a queen size hide a bed ] is situated in a harbor with a great view of Brockway Mountain and the Copper Harbor lighthouse. A short bike ride will take you to the town of Copper Harbor which has many great restaurants and gift shops. Fort Wilkin's State Park is a short walk away. The Area is known for its great mountain bike trails and kayaking. Rentals are available for both sports. Sit near the open fire and enjoy the beautiful sunsets and northern lights over Lake Superior. We have two kayaks that may be used at your own risk. Paddles and lifejackets are in the storage shed for your use. The property has one exterior camera, located on corner of bunkhouse facing the driveways.

Wonderful! I couldn't imagine a better place to stay for a week! My daughter, my granddaughter and I enjoyed every minute of our stay in the cottage and the surrounding area. We watched a spectacular sunset every evening, saw beautiful deer right in our yard and ducks on the lake.

This was one of the best rental properties we have ever stayed at. Beautiful, secluded spot with beautiful access to the water. The hosts were great and it had amazing access to trails. The kitchen was well stocked.

This was exactly what we were looking for and more! The house was perfect and being tucked in the harbor meant glass-calm water and wonderful sunsets. We even got to see a pair of river otters and a beaver in the bay! The hosts had great instructions for the property and lots of books about the area. They were also quick to email back throughout the entire process. We will definitely be returning!!!

What a nice place! We loved the peace and quiet and the view of Lake Superior. The footprint of this place is not large, but every inch is maximized without it feeling crowded. Very clean, very comfortable. Would stay again. We even saw a black bear cub run across the road this property is located on. How cool!

The cabin is beautiful with fantastic views of Copper Harbor and the sunsets. The beach is beautiful and we spent the afternoons rock hunting. Close to town, but completely quiet and serene location. We saw hummingbirds, ducks, eagles, kingfishers and beavers from the porch. It was very easy to ride to the mountain bike trails, nice central location to both Brockway and East Bluff. The house was well appointed and the beds were nice and comfortable. We will be back someday for sure, honestly we were all disappointed to leave!

This cabin is a quiet oasis, just four minutes from town. The view of the bay is incredible; we enjoyed just sitting and watching the weather change! We stayed in for several dinners and found the kitchen well equipped. Also the reclining couch with gas stove and king-sized bed were very comfortable. Definitely would stay again!

We stayed here for a week in June and loved it. Super quiet, lovely cabin, excellent furnishings, and kitchen well equipped. Paddled around the harbor several times in the kayaks. We each had a couple hours of work to do during the week and the internet speed was sufficient; speed test showed a little over 10Mb/sec.We did our main shop in Hancock on the way north, but found the general store in Copper Harbor to be well stocked. The laundromat in town is spartan but sufficient. Hope to return again next year!!

The cabin was wonderful and we savored every minute we spent by the lake! We loved the magical path through the woods to Lily Lake. We gathered a handful blue berries, picked up a few special rocks and enjoyed the stars at night. Perfect vacation!

Beautiful home that has everything you need. The view was amazing. The town of Copper Harbor is not far from the house with a few shops to explore. Houghton is an hour away with a Wal-Mart for all your needs. On your way, Quincy Copper Mines is a cool place to stop and explore.
