Nice place but the check out and check in times make for a shorter stay thanks for coming but get out. And to my surprise having a late check in I had to make the bed. Sheets were finally located in the dryer.
The accomodations were great. Close to store if you needed anything. Comfortable beds and a nice fire pit area. The short walk to the beach was refreshing. The only thing I would recommend is to have more (toilet paper and paper towels) available. We had 5 people and two rolls of toilet paper was not enough. Last, we used the barbeque. We cleaned it first because it had not been cleaned probably for awhile. There were cleaning supplies available. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would choose to stay again!
Unfortunately, the furnace was out the day we arrived, which was unexpected. However, the host was very communicative and responsive—providing extra blankets, offering space heaters, and even giving us a discount to help make our stay more comfortable. That effort was much appreciated. The check-in/check-out process could be improved. I’m not very familiar with VRBO, and I expected to receive access codes and instructions directly through the app, as I’ve experienced with other platforms. In this case, the host provided the code via the Ring doorbell, which worked out fine, but was a bit unconventional. One suggestion: adding a printed check-out guide near the door would be really helpful. I’ve seen this in other rentals and it makes the departure process smoother, especially when app instructions aren’t easily accessible.Despite the initial issue, the host’s responsiveness made a big difference, and we were able to enjoy our stay at the wonderful location.
The home was wonderful… A few issues in the beginning. Arriving at 5 PM is the latest we’ve ever had to move into a rental. 10 AM with young children is very difficult for leaving. When we arrived, if we would have had any trash, there was nowhere to put it, and a great hassle to push it down the driveway on the gravel when it was so heavy. And there were towels in the dryer and a full dishwasher. We washed all of our dishes ourselves, and when we got there with all of the dishes in the dishwasher, the soap dispenser have not completely used the soap, so we ran it again. Most of these are small tweaks, but the homestay itself was fine. A person came Heathrow on Wednesday or Thursday and brought laundry detergent, there was no fabric softener and toilet paper and said that someone had called and said we were out. That was not us who called. We would stay there again.
