My daughter, grand baby (1 1/2) and I stayed here for Marine boot camp graduation. It was a beautiful place great location and Donna could not have been nicer!! I would highly recommend staying here it is very close to Paris Island and a very reasonable price. They have toys for the baby a pack and play movies wonderful very clean I’m very happy with the experience.
We had a great stay with Donna and Andy. We visited my granddaughter’s friends. We very much appreciated the state park pass provided and were able to use it. The apartment was very comfortable and had a number of amenities. Check in/ check out very easy. We send our appreciation and Thanks to Donna and Andy! Marilyn P
We are always happy to stay at this little guesthouse (above the hosts’ house garage), on a quiet street just off of Mossy Oaks Rd. (in part of Beaufort that extends south toward Port Royal). This cute little apartment is just right for a couple or small family, always feels very clean and comfortable, with lots of nice touches (whether decor, games/books for children as well as adults, Roku with guest options so you can stream apps using your own logins on the tv which then get cleared on checkout, etc). The heat/cooling system works nicely, with overhead fans in living room & the bedroom. The claw foot bathtub is nice, with surrounding shower curtain for those like me who prefer showers. The little kitchen is nice with fridge snd stove/oven and enough cookware and glassware for any meals that work well for the small space (either seated around coffee table or on chairs at little kitchen counter). The hosts are always very responsive to any concerns or issues, through VRBO app or directly through their cellphone numbers provided. They provide a car pass which lets anyone in a car be admitted to state parks (particularly helpful for Hunting Island beaches, lighthouse, hiking trails, Boneyard Beach, fishing pier looking out at Fripp Island, etc.The apartment is well represented by the photos and description on VRBO, which shows that there are stairs up to the entrance at the back of the garage. We love the quiet neighborhood with Spanish Moss greenway/trail nearby.
My husband and I had a wonderful stay! It was just what we needed for a weekend away. Easy drive to downtown Beaufort. Quiet except for the geese occasionally haha. I loved sitting on the porch under the mossy oaks.
Very nice small apartment over garage of pretty house in Mossy Oaks area of Beaufort/Port-Royal.
My wife & I have stayed here multiple times, and enjoy the location (on little street running between Mossy Oaks and pretty Broad Street), the nice touches provided by the host (state park pass great for Hunting Island, supplies for kitchen & shower, the nice Christmas decorations on their main house and in the neighborhood, etc), and the value of the booking itself! The house is as shown in the listing, and it is small with flight of steps up to the apartment. There is room for two to eat at the counter, and a few can around the coffee table for casual snacking or simple meals. The host kindly helped us with an early check-in. There are some plates, utensils, glassware, a few pans, a toaster, oven/range, drip coffeemaker, and fridge. We definitely want to stay again.
This cottage is so comfy and cozy! We were thrilled to arrive and find easy contactless check in. This is a perfect place to stay for Marine Corps Graduation as it is less than a 10 minute drive. There is a Publix close by which carries all our favorites brands and a Chick Fil A! The host has the cottage decorated with a home away from home feel. Little touches make it perfect such as the board games, Epson Salt Bubble bath, soft towels, and Mrs. Meyers Hand Soap. The master bed is super comfy and the sofa is perfect for watching TV as a family. The neighborhood is safe and quiet. You can hear the roosters in the morning and enjoy nature sipping your coffee on the balcony. Everything was perfect! Thank you so much!
This house is perfect for us when we visit my daughter and her family. It is a short walk to their house and specifically our granddaughter! The house is comfortable and clean and there is never a hassle entering or leaving. It is just as described. We have already booked again for when grandchild number two is due!

This was an extremely quaint garage apartment, perfect for 2 of maybe one or two more.
Great amenities and location for easy access to water, shopping and food. We will definitely stay again!
Loved the apartment, it was perfect for our stay. Great space and great location. Easy check in and check out. The place was very clean, had everything we needed and the property was quiet and peaceful as well as private. Loved the private balcony for coffee in the morning. Would definitely stay here again.
Perfect small place to stay close to parris island
Family of 4 2 young kids this place was perfect for us…wifi worked great and the bed was comfortable…would recommend for anyone who is visiting for Marine boot camp graduation its short drive to the base
This was a great place for me and my daughters- 19 and 21 to get away for the weekend. We made the hour drive down to Hilton Head during our stay. The home was comfortable and checking in and out was easy. I definitely would book again and recommend for others.
I can't say enough good things about this place. The park pass was a unexpected and greatly appreciated bonus. Everything was clean and comfortable. We loved the balcony. Plenty of closet space. Convenient location. It was amazing.
Nice little above-garage apartment in Mossy Oaks neighborhood of Port Royal (close to Beaufort)
This little apartment worked great for us! In a pretty little neighborhood near Mossy Oaks and Battery Creek streets, this was just blocks away from our daughter’s little family (including our only grandchild). The host was responsive to my few questions but nothing was ever needed! 😊
The apartment was clean, tasteful, very comfortable (air conditioning worked great and ceiling fans in both main rooms). There is a bedroom with big walk-in closet and the bathroom with a big claw-foot tub also modified for a nice shower. The small kitchen and counter-top space, along with large coffee table by the sofa in the living room, gave room for us and our daughter’s family to sit around and enjoy pizza or lunch-time sandwiches, etc.
It’s ideal for two people, though there is a sofa sleeper we did not use. Our granddaughter did spend some days with us, and even a few nights, but she is just 4 years old and we could make a little “bed” on the sofa without folding out the sleeper.
The host’s beautiful house and the attached garage apartment that we rented are surrounded by pretty trees and Spanish moss with flowers around the nice landscaping, and we heard more frogs at night than we have in many years.
It is a climb up stairs to reach apartment, but of course we knew that beforehand, and wasn’t a big issue unless carrying lots of luggage or groceries.
The supplied South Carolina state park pass got everyone in the car free admission to Hunting Island Beach and Charles Towne Landing.
Amazing place. Peaceful is an understatement. Would definitely stay again.

This is the cutest little apartment! Super clean, very pretty decor, excellently equipped (lawn chairs, beach towels, a tumbler, state park pass - LOVED THAT!) and very conveniently located. Gorgeous scenery all around and a home-y place like this to stay at made for a perfect get-away!

About the host

My husband and I are both transplants from New England. We moved south in 2011 to escape the cold winters and fell in love with the charm, history and relaxed pace of Beaufort.
Why they chose this property
It's a great location and provides a comfortable private place for friends and family to stay while visiting.
What makes this property unique
Located in a safe residential area, on a quiet street, surrounded by lovely mossy oaks and azaleas, you have all the privacy you could want. If you should ever need anything, my husband and I are a phone call away and are happy to make a dinner reservation for you or lend you some chairs for your trip to the beach.
