This house provides a pleasant stay close to main street while also being close enough to Thompson West End park that you could walk to the lake as well. The homeowners were always prompt with answering questions. My family and I would book this home again in the future.

Photos & Description just doesnt do it justice..

The house is beautiful! It was our home away from home. Bayfield has been on my family's bucket list & it did not disappoint. We stopped at Copper Falls State Park on our way up. We did the Apostle Island tour and Madeline Island for a day. We went swimming & fishing. We took a spontaneous drive up to Small Sand Bay one evening. And the best part was being able to come back "home" to a fire & s'mores & a cozy place to sleep. Kids slept in super late while Mom & Dad were able to enjoy a quiet breakfast outside on the patio. Lifelong family memories made!

Great location to Lake Superior

We enjoyed our stay at the North Oak. It was a quiet neighborhood, walking distance to the lake. The kitchen had very nice dishware. I was particularly impressed when I opened the drawer and saw Cutco knives. I have four Cutco knives, and they are top quality. The beds were comfortable and plenty of living quarters to accommodate our party of 7 people. We spent most of our vacation in Bayfield that was an easy 20 minute drive. We enjoyed our stay at North Oak. It is located in a quiet neighborhood within walking distance of the lake. About the host

Hosted by Jesse F Strawn

Host profile image
We are 4 siblings who wanted a cabin in the woods. We build the house you're staying in with so much help from the amazing Washburn community. We hope you love it as much as we do.

Why they chose this property

Small town life. Wonderful natural beauty. We grew up here, and even though we all moved away, keeping ties to northern Wisconsin was very important to us.

What makes this property unique

Unique and comfortable design to accommodate a romantic getaway and larger parties.
