The home was perfect for our group. We used as base camp for a long h weekend hiking. The kitchen was well stocked, we enjoyed the large dining table for breakfast in the morning and games in the evening. The living room was comfortable with ample seating. Everyone reported the beds were comfortable. Rebecca was very responsive, offered ideas on local dining. We would definitely rent again!
Great place in great location! So spacious and well-equipped. Super handy that the light switches were labeled: I havenāt seen that elsewhere and itās a great idea.

Everything was great! Clean and ready to go! Good location to the Lake and to Bayfield. Communication with host was easy! Little warm in the upstairs
Beautiful house. Front and back porches were great for hanging out with the family. Kitchen is well stocked with supplies- pots, pans, bowls, dinner wear. The location is great- walkable to all things a vacation needs including a beach.
Great place, ample room, excellent location to activities. Only thing is that 2 years ago we stayed here and reported that the ice maker did not work and had to buy bags - the freezer ice maker still does not work.... Other than that the place is perfect....
Thise was a great place to stay, very quiet. Walking distant to a couple good restaurants. We liked the off-street parking. And most of all the house was very roomy and comfortable.
We thought the house was very clean and well stocked with everything we needed for cooking and eating. Had plenty of towels. We also liked that we were in walking distance of Lake Superior, the farmers market and music in the park, and a beach.
The house had plenty of space for our group. As mentioned in another review, if you are tall, you need to watch your head in the upstairs bathroom and bedrooms but not really too much of an issue. The house was convenient to the restaurants in Washburn and a short drive to Bayfield. We really enjoyed our trip!
Just one little glitch...but was reassured by host. Place is very clean and the kitchen is very well stocked. We rolled up area rugs in kitchen and bathroom...we are all older and avoiding slip/trip accidents
Our family of 10 rented the house for 3 days. We all fell in love with Washburn and the whole area. The location was great - walking distance to restaurants, shopping, and the waterfront. Close to Bayfield and Madeleine Island.
The house was clean, spacious, well equipped. It was actually better than described. Loved the kitchen and the spacious gathering area.
Owner was very accomodating. Met at the house with the keys. Gave a tour of the house. Suggestions: more utensils are needed and more garbage bags and toilet paper.
We enjoyed our stay at the house. It was clean and the downstairs living space was very nice. The new front porch was great. Great view of the sunset sky and free music one night. Owner could make clear that 4 out of 5 bedrooms were upstairs. And that going through the 5th "bedroom" was how to get to the only upstairs bathroom. Some repair could be done to the back entryway. The railing was loose and some of us needed the railing to climb the two steps. For me and my arthritic knees a railing on both sides of the stairs to the second floor would be helpful but that wouldn't bother a more fit person. All in all a nice place to stay and the beds were VERY comfortable.
Broken dining room chairs (one collapsed under a guest and then we identified others that were close to breaking), no hot tub as advertised, dishwasher was broken the whole time, despite being told it would be fixed the day after we arrived.

Marcy, yeah, it sounds like there were a few missteps during your visit, and I am very sorry. I assure you that every effort was made to prepare the house to its finest for your stay.
And yourself, recovering from surgery as you were, seems ljke you spent some extended time in the Lazy Boy. That may have created some limitations for you to enjoy the area.
The chairs are old and stately, but I had had them re-glued and they have been in use now for over a year with no problems reported. Not sure what happened during your stay when the chair broke, but glad no one was hurt. And thanks for letting me know right away. They will get further attention.
Dishwasher repair guy....not sure why he did not get there during your stay, but we had an appointment on Thursday...as you and I discussed. All is fixed now.
No hot tub!? That BOX that was checked on the first page of the website was truly an accident....WOW! I made no mention of a hot tub anywhere else in my posting and you and I did clarify that there was none. Thank you for bringing that to my attention - I deleted that the day you pointed it out!
Anyway, hope you and the other guests were able to explore this beautiful area.
I have to mention that the cleaning crew noticed a faint aroma of smoke in the house after you left, and multiple items left in the frig.
Hope you had a safe trip back to your home. And hope you have a speedy post-op recovery! And I wish you all the Best!
