We loved the Star's Chateau. It was extremely clean and well stocked. A beautiful home. We would love to stay here again and definitely recommend to others.
This is a great place and I would highly recommend it to anyone wanting to stay and explore the Campbell River area. The hosts are incredible - and you will feel right at home. The have all the extras you can think of in the kitchen, with high-quality equipment. The beds are luxurious and the beddings super comfortable. AND THE VIEW is outstanding. We went to Elk Falls which was stunning and not far from the property. There is also a suspension bridge there. We also went to Myra Falls - very remote, and also beautiful. My sisters saw an orca off the coast as they walked downtown. All in all - more than 5 stars in our opinion!

About the host
Hosted by Tana and Cliff Star
Cliff and I have lived in Campbell River for thirty years, raised our two boys and many of their friends in this home. Cliff is an avid fisherman while I enjoy the trails, beaches and being on the ocean exploring the numerous natural resources our community has to offer. We love to travel and explore new places but believe this is one of the most beautiful areas of our world.
Why they chose this property
The neighborhood is safe family oriented and central to many of Campbell Rivers attractions, schools and businesses. We are located very close to Mt. Washington, Strathcona Park and all the water systems in that area, A short ferry ride which is ten minutes away takes you to Quadra Island, Cortez and many more amazing islands are only a quick boat ride away. Desolation Sound offers unbeatable scenery and wildlife opportunities from Whale watching tours to Grizzly Bear tours all available out of Campbell River. We don’t even have to mention that Campbell River is the Salmon Capital of the world! I can attest for that as Cliff has guided for many years and fished personally for over forty years, we have enjoyed the various bounty from the seas to our table all in the same day on many occasions from Spot Prawns to Sockeye, Chinook, Salmon when permitted! And Crab, Ling cod, oysters and mussels, if you’re a fan.
What makes this property unique
Our property provides our guests with a totally self sufficient, comfortable, clean home away from home in a safe, quiet family neighbourhood with easy access to everything Campbell River has to offer.
