Marion Village's Very Best Cottage tiny home living close to the town beach
VILLAGE LOCATION!
My family decided to join the Tiny House Revolution by building our cozy seaside cottage here in the quaint village of Marion, MA - just one hour away from Boston, Provincetown, and Newport, while only thirty minutes to Cape Cod and Providence, Rhode Island. Our cottage is ideally suited for a couple, small family, or anyone looking to embrace the benefits of downsizing and reducing their environmental impact.
ABOUT THE COTTAGE:
With around 600 square feet of space, we believe less is more with this cottage. Our bright, modern, and fully-equipped home will transport you to your own oasis complete with plenty of comfort including one bedroom featuring a queen-sized bed and a ladder to a loft with two additional twin beds. There is an open living room plan with a sofa, coffee table, dining table with two chairs, television, full kitchen, and full bath.
French glass doors open onto an outside patio facing a beautifully landscaped yard. Table/chairs and umbrella are on the patio for outside dining while a gas grill is provided for cooking. Parking is available in the driveway next to the house.
Hot outside? No worries - we have air conditioning! Coming back with sand from the beach? Jump in the outdoor shower! Need to do some laundry? Both washer and dryer are located in the cottage basement for your use.
This cozy cottage truly is the perfect retreat to relax and enjoy the summer by the sea - so cozy that you will never want to leave!
We offer a welcoming bottle of wine upon each guest's check-in.

Thank you for the lovely review. It was a pleasure to meet you both and I am glad you enjoyed your stay.
My husband and I found the cottage to be spotless and well appointed with all needs. A lovely place in all respects along with convenience to walking downtown. We did find the mattresses to be a bit uncomfortable but other than that a great stay.

Thank you so much for your review. I am glad you enjoyed your stay. I am sorry that you did not find the mattresses to be comfortable however they are relatively new. Everyone has a preference as to the type of mattress they prefer to sleep on (some firm, soft). I am sorry these are not the type you are accustomed to sleeping on .
The cottage was in the perfect location for my husband and I to stay for my Tabor Academy reunion. We could walk to the general store and to campus. Very convenient!
This property was adorable and had everything we needed. We were in the area to visit family and we wanted a small retreat for ourselves. Located on a quiet street in a quaint town, it was modern and very clean. The beach pass, outdoor shower and patio were a bonus. Our host was very responsive. We'd be happy to rent there again the next time we're in town!
We loved this cottage! It was so perfect for my family during our stay in Marion. The beds were very comfortable and it was immaculate! My son really enjoyed sleeping in the loft. The owners were so kind. They even invited us to make s’mores in the backyard... What a fun treat! We will be back :-)

clean, cozy, has everything one would need for a week.
Marion is a beautiful town, and this neat clean cottage is a one minute walk to the General Store, Kate's for breakfast, lunch, or dinner and Harriets Outback. There is a beach pass to put in the car if you drive to the beach but it is a beautiful walk to the beach. The cottage is peaceful and quiet. The weather was perfect. Could not have asked for a better week.

Thank you for the review. So glad you enjoyed your stay. G
Enjoyed our time in Marion and the bottle of cheer awaiting us! Charming town and beautiful area. My only issue was having another app that you had to be invited to to communicate and through my own fault I was never able to get on it. Left a little to chance.

So happy your enjoyed yourself! Hope the tournament ended well!
I stayed in this lovely guest cottage in Marion last week. My 12 yr old was with me the entire time, and my husband stayed for just 2 nights. It looks just as pictured. Very clean, neat, well equipped, small but charming. It’s perfect for 2 people and perhaps 1-2 kids who could independently manage the ladder to the sleeping loft. My pre-teen enjoyed the loft space!
It’s a great location for local day trips. We went to Newport, RI one day and took the New Bedford Ferry to Martha’s Vineyard on another day. We loved our day in Westport at Horseneck state beach. The neighborhood is very sweet and filled with cute cottages and lots of hydrangea in bloom! Walkable to the little down town General Store and not far from Marion Town Beach.
We really enjoyed our week in Marion!
We loved our stay at this nice little property in Marion. The city beach was not crowded and very close from the property. The location was also close to other towns in Cape Cod, so very nice for one day trips. Only minor comment on the house is the bathroom sink was on the small side... but overall, we really enjoyed!
Great location. Clean cottage within walking distance of local restaurant, the harbor, and the General Store. Have been renting here for close to ten years. Always have a great experience in this sleepy little town.

Thanks! We love seeing you each year and thank you for being such a fabulous renter! Hopefully we will see you next year!!!
My husband and I loved this place! It was great for 2 people, They have a loft for sleeping 2 more people; would be OK for a weekend, but the place would be really tight for a week for 4. Perfect for 2!
You can't beat the location, right is the middle of all the quaintness of Marion Village! Gael and her family were more than welcoming and helpful. We had our boat at Burr Brothers Boatyard - they were awesome - highly recommend regardless of your size boat. We would go back again.

Adorable, quiet and relaxing!
The cottage is very cute and perfectly equipped. We had a wonderful, relaxing week in late August going to the beautiful town beach and visiting various places along the South Coast and Falmouth. The cottage is in the centre of Marion and convenient for the General Store, Kate's for morning coffee and early morning walks to Silvershell Beach. We loved our stay and our hosts were very accommodating and welcoming. We plan to visit again in the near future!

Little but great house in Marion
Even though the house is quite small, it offered everything we needed for a family of four! The close distance to the local beach and shops/restaurants was great for us. The location is quiet and the owners were very helpful. We enjoyed meeting them! Thanks for everything, Gael and Chris!
PS: We loved the outside shower and will now get one ourselves ....

About the host
Hosted by Gael Evangelista-Uhl
A Worceste MA native, I have spent the majority of my life in the Boston area. I am a Nurse Practitioner at Mass General Hospital in Boston. I have been a summer resident of Marion for over twenty years and know all the best spots in town (feel free to ask me anything about the area!).
What originally drew me to Marion? We were looking for a quaint beach town to bring our young children during the summer that did not require a huge sacrifice in terms of a commute. We wanted to avoid all of the traffic on the bridges towards Cape Cod and be just a little closer to Boston where we lived. Thus, we stumbled upon Marion, almost a mini-Nantucket and have never left!
The original home we purchased was owned by a family friend and it had been in their family since the 1910s. It was really special that we were able to purchase it and make it our own home for all of these years.
I just love the ability to wake up and have all of the treasures of Marion right at my door. Just a few steps from the house is the heart of the town, Marion's Front Street featuring local businesses and churches.
Why they chose this property
I also offer a larger three-bedroom home located in front of this cottage. It is perfect for family looking to enjoy all Marion has to offer. I often rent it to Tabor families. Be sure to check it out here on VRBO.
What makes this property unique
Perfect location in Marion - close to Tabor Academy, beach, and town as well as other vacation spots on Cape Cod, Islands, or Plymouth.
I take pride in my home. The property is well maintained, and I am very responsive to all guest requests.
