Body wash, shampoo, conditioner, and lotion provided in all bathrooms.

Up to two dogs allowed per reservation with a $100 pet fee. Dogs must be leashed outside, not allowed on furniture, and must be crated (1 crate provided) if left unattended indoors.

Please Note:

WiFi: Free satellite WiFi is available, but due to our rural location, the signal may be spotty. Please come prepared to unplug. No refunds for WiFi issues.

House Rules:

No events or parties, including bachelor/bachelorette gatherings—no glitter.

Only registered guests and those listed in your reservation are permitted on the property.

No commercial photography or videography without prior approval.

No smoking, vaping, fireworks, sparklers, ATVs, hunting, or weapons allowed.

Violations may result in the forfeiture of a $300 security deposit and/or additional costs for damages.

Hot Tub Use:

By using the hot tub, you agree to follow the posted rules, including keeping the cover on when not in use and using only provided towels. Significant changes to the temperature may result in a forfeited security deposit or additional cleaning fees.

🛠 Septic System & Trash:

Please only flush toilet paper and dispose of food scraps in the trash (no garbage disposal).

Prior to Your Stay:

A signed renter agreement is required. A $300 security deposit hold will be placed and released within five days after checkout, pending no damage or rule violations.

We had such a wonderful stay! Stowe was very quaint and comfortable for our family of four, with charm and attention to detail throughout. It felt perfectly secluded, like we were truly away from it all, which made it so relaxing and peaceful. The game room was also a huge highlight for the whole family. This property is stunning! It was like a luxury hotel stay. The owners thought of every little detail needed. It is secluded - we loved sitting in the hot tub that was covered because we had both rain and snow. The games in the basement were fun! We loved that the property had lit signs to note which cabin you are staying in. The house was cozy and beds were very comfortable. We will come again and recommend to everyone looking for a weekend get away!

If you look at this place for a trip don’t hesitate to book it! It is beautiful and location is amazing. The Host was in contact in a very timely manor for everything. We had a snow storm when we got there and we were the only booking at the whole site for the weekend. The property manager/maintenance man went above and beyond to accommodate us with snow removal! Great stay! Beautiful space and accomodations. The only complaint I have is that the wifi is not good in the basement. This caused issues when trying to use certain streaming services as well as with phones and gaming devices. Also, it can be difficult to get to in the snow - especially if you don't have 4 wheel drive. We found Clapper Hollow was the best route.Definitely coming back!

The Stowe cabin was awesome. Everything was very clean and well maintained. My kids loved the hot tub, and the arcade games. We went to the common game room several nights to play before kid's bed time. I loved the attention to detail and anticipation of guests needs, even for our dog. Perfect cabin in the woods

This cabin is everything I had hoped for and more! Nestled back in the woods, it is private but not isolated. There were others in the neighborhood but none too close that it felt I couldn’t relax and have privacy. Working with Stacey was fabulous! The cabin is well stocked with everything you may need from a great selection of games to all the kitchen items needed to cook a full family meal. I would come back in a heartbeat!

We had an amazing stay at the Stowe. All the personal touches and little extras were great! The place was exactly as it was shown and described. Working with Stacey was so convenient. The Notestone Stowe rental was very clean, probably the cleanest VRBO we've ever stayed at. The beds were very comfortable, and the house was stocked with every thing you could think of and more. Beautiful home in a quiet, peaceful setting

We had a wonderful stay with our 10 year old daughter and 2 dogs. The house is beautiful and clean. Plenty of room and everything we needed. The game room was an added bonus for some fun family time. It was also very clean and had a variety of activities. The owners were able to be reached and responsive with questions. We will most definitely come back again!

Restoration is something I think about a lot. The idea that something with potential can become something worth keeping — that broken pieces, arranged with care, can turn into something magnificent. Stained glass works that way. So does Notestone.

This property started as a vision and a lot of hard work. What it is now — ten units across 14 acres in the heart of Hocking Hills, each one named for a writer who paid attention to the world around them — is the result of believing that where you rest matters.

Every detail reflects what I personally look for when I travel: comfort without pretense, nature without roughing it. The kind of place where memories get made without trying — and you leave with a story worth telling.
