The views and authentic country village was everything! Villa was not as nice as we thought it would be but the cultural experience made up for it. Some things were missing (shower door); some things were broken (toilet seat, soap dispenser); and, lawn was almost knee deep, making it difficult to get to lawn chairs. There was no porch out the back door, just a 6-7ft drop to overgrown vegetation. Obvious that updates are being done (nice newer bathroom in basement) but still quite a ways to go for the price. First time booking on VRBO and I am not a fan. Wanted to add another night to original booking and could not find a way to change it. Host went out of his way to help but finally conceded that we should cancel and then rebook. Price went up considerably but we really wanted to stay in that area. In spite of it all, we loved staying in Oprtalj!
