Great location

We were in town for a bridal shower. This property was a perfect location to the venue and we were able to prepare some of the food for the event. Beds were comfortable!

The home has been updated, which was nice. However, upon arrival on a 20-degree November day, the indoor temperature was 56 degrees with the air conditioning on, making the house very cold. The cleaner was still present when we arrived, yet the floors and bathrooms were not clean.The host was responsive and offered a refund of the cleaning fee, which we appreciated.

The check-in was super easy and the listing was pretty much as described. There's a Hy-Vee grocery store within a half mile, which was super convenient. There is some local road construction which slowed things down a bit, but that project looks to be wrapping up soon. The property is nestled in a nice residential area. The property on the outside could have used some TLC. Yes, the lawn was freshly mowed, but the weeds were in full summer mode and the two trash bins by the garage were already filled past the brim. It wasn't the best look when we initially pulled up to the property. Pros - Inside, the air conditioning was set at a nice temperature and the rooms were clean. There were plenty of towels available. Check-out instructions and wifi information was posted in a highly visible location within the kitchen. We enjoyed the open concept living room, dining room and kitchen area. There were six in our party, so we pulled a couple of the extra stools up to the dining table to play board games in the evening, which was nice. Cons - Overall, we were happy with our stay, but a few improvements would elevate this listing. The bedroom I personally stayed in had two pillows in decorative shams, but no actual sleeping pillows. There's a hole in the wall where the bathroom door knob has bumped into the drywall. Most, if not all bedroom and bathroom doors creaked with each opening and closing. Minor things to be sure.
