Shanti House is a peaceful escape perched directly above the tranquil Kanouli Beach. The house offers complete privacy, featuring simple yet cozy furnishings, a lush garden, and all the necessary amenities for cooking and relaxing. To reach the beach, simply follow a 3-minute walking path (with an uphill return). The area is wonderfully secluded, surrounded by pristine nature and stunning views.
The space
Airy interiors and a spacious outdoor area where you can unwind under the shade of the big oak tree. Wake up to the sound of the waves, enjoy slow mornings on the veranda, and immerse yourself in the tranquility of this hidden paradise.
Other things to note
Beyond the beach, you'll find excellent fish tavernas in the nearby Halikounas area, along with other beautiful beaches like Skidi, Prasoudi, and Lake Korission. The stretch of sand at Halikounas beach extends for several kilometers, perfect for long walks. The closest village, Agios Mattheos, is just a 10-minute drive and provides all the essentials—supermarkets, pharmacies, butchers, bakers, cafes, and restaurants. The surroundings are a patchwork of ancient olive groves and vineyards, offering a true escape into nature.

My family chose this area many years ago. But over time, it’s become a place I deeply appreciate. There’s a wild, natural beauty here that’s hard to find elsewhere. The olive trees, the quiet beaches, the scent of herbs in the summer air — they all create a kind of stillness that I’ve grown to love. Whether you're walking along the coast or enjoying a meal under the trees, there’s a timeless quality to this part of Corfu that draws people in.

Surrounded by olive groves, just a short walk from the sea, the house blends into its landscape and invites you to do the same. It ’s completely private, with no neighbors in sight, and always feels peaceful and secluded. Even during the hottest summer days, there’s a constant breeze and a coolness in the air that makes staying here a true pleasure. Every guest seems to discover their own rhythm here, which to me is the true luxury of the place.
